This is the first time I've seen this warehouse. The rice used is Maikaze. As the name suggests, everything, including the yeast, is from Gunma, and it seems to be an annual event. The mouthfeel is mild. It is bitter-sweet with a slight banana aroma. It gently finishes with a hint of umami. It seems to have a lot of depth. Well-balanced and cohesive sake. I️ would like to visit Funao Falls too!

After a few drinks, it was quite late, so I headed home while eating a golden dharma bento commemorating the 140th anniversary of Takasaki Station. I will close my Gunma trip with "Akagisan" and "Funao Taki"! Sweet and sugary aroma like sugar. The taste is smooth and silky, and while it has a Gunma sake-like quality, it tastes more like a sweet sake derived from brewer's alcohol. There is nothing outstanding about it, but it is a perfect match for ekiben (boxed lunches), with its unobtrusiveness, slight sweetness, and crispness!

This is a good sake. ❣️ It has strength and acidity that is typical of a sake brewed from a traditional sake yeast stock, and the aging process has given it a round umami taste. It has a moderate alcohol content, and this flavor is very relaxing. I want to drink it again!

Purchased at Sota Watanabe Shoten in August. When I went camping in the summer, I attended with melons from Yamama and Niida Zenshu, but both were gone in an instant, so I didn't raise them to check in 😂. Such is the classic brand of the Niida head family. Did I drink it cold (room temperature) at first? I don't remember. (LOL) I thought it was very tasty when I drank it heated (probably hot)! I thought it was delicious! The complex acidity and umami of the rice, unique to the brewer's yeast, is extended by the warming up of the sake! I love the way the flavor expands when heated. I think it tastes great chilled, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend heating it up. I might want to keep this one on hand. I'm glad I don't have to put the classic in the fridge. I would love to have a fridge for sake, but...

It smells simple and sweet, like freshly baked bread. I have never tasted a sake with such an aroma. The mysterious brewing water is soft, slightly viscous, mineral, and translucent. The sweetness is like freshly baked bread, and the robust, tight rice flavor is as vibrant as ever. There is also a hint of acidity, which is probably due to the use of the sake yeast, but at any rate, it is full of umami. Tamura is a gem that is profound yet light, powerful yet gentle, and a contradiction in terms. It disappeared with a slight sharpness in the back of the throat. In recent years, an increasing number of popular sakes are being hailed as wine-like sake with a sweet and sour taste like grapes. Of course, I like these sake as well. But if you ask me which sake made from rice has the weight, lingering aftertaste, complexity, and simplicity of red wine, I would drink Tamura without hesitation. When I drank it, I found it to be medium dry with a solid richness and flavor... 😋 I felt like we suddenly became friends🎶. I usually don't drink that much 🍷 and 🍶 a little vacation. I only drink Nouveau 🍷 at a small wine specialty shop owned by the owner, who has experience as the best sommelier in Japan every year. (I told him that I actually like Sake and he said that he only drinks Obuse Sogape and one other sake brewery for everyday drinking...I'm curious...wait a minute...he came from the back and brought me this! I'm sorry, I don't know this brewery...but they have hiyaoroshi and yamahai. So he shared his favorite hiyaoroshi with me! It's easy to drink, has a nice mouthfeel, and is dry with a nice flavor and sharpness. It's also delicious and reminds me of a white wine! The Nouveau chosen by the owner this year was expensive... but he said he had no choice because of the weak yen and the international situation.
