Asahi Sakae is brewed by Sagara Shuzo in Iwafune, Tochigi City, southwestern Tochigi Prefecture.
This is also my first time.
It is not easy to find a local brewery, but I had checked it out since it was introduced on YouTube by Mimasu Sake Brewery.
It was produced in March 2024 and has an alcohol content of 16%.
The rice polishing ratio is 55%.
The aroma upon opening the bottle is slightly sweet.
In the mouth, it is light, yet thick and smooth.
A smooth sweetness spreads in the mouth at first, but the overall impression is one of bitterness.
The lingering aroma remains and has a pleasant sharpness.
When tasted on its own, the bitterness is a bit strong.

The aroma is sweet and fruity ☺️
The first sip is sweet but tasty 😋 It has a clear sweetness without being harsh, but it's easy to drink with a bit of bitterness and a sharpness that finishes it off 😙.
But as you continue to drink it, the sweetness starts to overpower it 😐I might not be able to finish it if it were sweeter than this 😶 Maybe it's better to drink sweet drinks outside!
We enjoyed the drink while talking about it!
By the way, did you guys see the Dodgers vs Padres game yesterday on 🏟️❓We were in front of the TV from morning and started watching from the opening ceremony! Yamamoto got hit by a pitch and we were depressed 😓Otani's HR⚾️ got us all high-fiving🤚🤗After that, we were happy and sad to see the game progress and were thrilled 😰 in the 8th and 9th inning.
When the game was over, I was kind of tired 😅I didn't even go out. 😮💨

The first sip is rich and sweet, but it's sweet enough for us too! But it's sweet enough for us too!
This wine was also drunk last year by Jive-san, who said it was sweet and tasty like apples with honey 😙, but Takashi-san is right, it has a calm sweetness 😚.

たけるパパThe Mimuro Cedar Roman Series, which has been laying around for a while.
This is the first time to drink this series. I like sake from Nara, so my expectations were high. It is a fire-aged sake with an alcohol content of 13%. Polishing ratio is 60%.
This sake is brewed with Watafune No. 2. When the bottle is opened, the aroma is soft and sweet, with a hint of white peach.
In the mouth, the first thing you notice is the soft texture. The juiciness and umami spread in the mouth afterwards.
The acidity is more like a slight bitterness of alcohol when it is being poured down the throat, tightening the flavor.
Is this umami the Watabune No. 2 😄?
While the taste is different from that of the wooden oke Bodai yeast, I found it to be flavorful and easy to drink.

The aroma when the bottle is opened is soft and sweet. It is expected to have a moist flavor.
When you take a sip, it has a very round mouthfeel.
The full-bodied sweetness spreads smoothly on the tongue. It is not too sweet, but its spread is not thin, and the sake has a thick texture. A slight hint of acidity behind the sweetness.

The aroma is gorgeous and surprisingly sweet😳
The first sip has a soft mouthfeel, but it has a strong umami and alu feel 😚 This one is more dry than the other one!
I don't know if it's because it has a strong umami 💦, but this one is starting to feel sweeter and sweeter 😅.
Maybe our tongues are in trouble 🤪.
What happened 2 weeks ago 🤔After that, J and N were away again for 10 days 😢We got the leftovers of Miyazumi and Minami last Saturday when we resumed drinking 😋.
It was the first time for me to drink them so long after opening the bottle 😆 Both of them seemed less sweet, especially Miyazumi which turned out to be really good 😙.

The taste is very intense with a slight sourness to it 😚 This is delicious!
But as I drank it, the rich sweetness and umami started to feel a little heavy 😅I had to switch to another sake halfway through.
It is delicious, but I felt it was a bottle that should be drunk in a relaxed manner 😋.
By the way, I supported my father for 3 days at the beginning of last week!
During that time, the visiting rehabilitation was an event called Dorayaki🥞 making experience.
Well, almost all the process was done by the sister in charge of rehabilitation nursing 😄Dad only had to mix the seeds and return the baked ones 😅He turned them over successfully and showed a big smile on his face😇.
I took a cell phone movie to show everyone how it was done 😌 and when I saw my dad's smile on the movie, I felt indescribable 😌.

Last weekend we had our usual 😅J&N split into two groups and visited each other's parents' homes! And as usual, we met again on Sunday evening 😊The sake chosen for the celebration was our second bottle of Fukkai-san ‼️ this time sparkling 🎉.
Carefully opened the bottle and poured the bubbles 🫧 into a Riedel glass 😙 and expectations are high!
The aroma is a bit greefy, but once you take a sip, you'll be surprised how good it is 😋 Dry and crisp, sparkling is always good 😍.
I had a bottle of Fukuda-san's Yamadanishiki Active Light Nigorigo a few months ago and it was like an evolution of that 🤗.

Weekend Nobby went out ahead of us on Friday, and Jay was late and started on Saturday! I was supposed to check the note 📝, close the shutters, turn off the lights 💡, turn off the air conditioner and check ☝️... and then leave 🤔.
On my way home on Sunday, I had a bad feeling that I had forgotten something 😰 and I had to come home earlier than Nobby to check 💦, but Nobby, who was home 5 minutes earlier than me, told me that the air conditioner was on...😳It was on from Saturday noon to Sunday evening😱I was shocked and drooped! Jay was kindly told by Nobby, "It's good that the room is cooled down and you can have dinner right away 😉" 😭. chikaRiedel is great, isn't it?
