Next was the Ryusen Yaezakura Junmai Sake Takumi no Omachi. Compared to the Yamada-Nishiki we drank earlier, the taste is a little more robust. The aroma is almost imperceptible, but the sweetness and umami of the flavor is stronger than that of Yamadanishiki. I was full of anticipation, wondering what this sake, which won first place in the Governor's Award, would taste like! I went to the brewery and asked them about it, and they told me that they will start selling it next week. I am looking forward to it! It was delicious! (^o^) P.S. The fourth glass was my first sake, Miyako Bijin The fourth glass was a freshly squeezed, light nigori sake of Miyako Bijin, which is a first for me. Since it's spring🌸, I think I'll have another bottle of sake with spring in it. I bought a bottle of Shunshin by Nishide Sake Brewery in Komatsu City, Ishikawa Prefecture. I've been curious about this sake for a while but never got around to it. I will have it with boiled flounder 🙏. I thought it might be a bit strong, but it wasn't. It has a nice richness, sweetness, acidity, and a mellow feeling 😆. It's a bit like a lighter version of Tamagawa. As the label says, I preferred it at room temperature rather than chilled 👍

I saw it for the first time at a department store tasting sale, so I bought it. It's not listed on the label, but according to the brewer's description, it's unfiltered undiluted sake. It says "light nigori" but it's not cloudy at all (laughs). It's refreshing and easy to drink. The acidity in the second half is impressive.

I see that it is read as "Sekepikozan". If I had not drank this sake, I might not have been able to read it correctly for the rest of my life. The taste is fresh and quite rich. The bitter bitterness comes out in the back of the mouth, and the taste is sharp and clean. The sweetness is modest for Aizan, and although it is not the modern type of sake, the umami flavor is very well conveyed. Not bad!

I've been wanting to try this one for a while...they use 1801 yeast. It's gorgeous and fruity. It's also quite sweet. I think it's the most gorgeous of all the Yukihikosan brands. This was over 2,000 yen at Asano Sake Shop, but at a local liquor store it was 1,980 yen🙄. I wonder what it is? I heard some breweries and stores add on shipping costs 🤔.

Sake opened at a remote off-line meeting (3) I was asked "What is the best sake you drank this year? I answered "Aozora", but later I remembered that it was the future of sake from Akabu newborn 🤣. Today, following yesterday's Aizan drinking event, I went to the Osaka Bay Tower's Japanese sake festival event 😀. I was informed in advance by bouken-san that there was a sake that Saku-san usually does not have, so I made a toast with his wife with that sake 😇. The sake was even clearer and fruity than Saku's usual sake, and we were very satisfied from the start 😀. During the live taiko performance by three women, my wife and I, who are both learning taiko, were overwhelmed by their amazing performance 😇. We were able to compare over 130 different types of sake, but my favorite was from Yamazaru, a brewery located in Asa, Yamaguchi Prefecture 😇. From the aroma to the mouthfeel, it was right up my alley👍! I had a chance to talk to the brewer and asked him about the stores in the Kansai area that carry it.
