family trip After sightseeing in Karuizawa, Kusatsu Onsen, Zenkoji Temple, Kurobe Dam, and Hakuba Village, we finally went to Mashidaya, the place of our dreams. My wife found on Instagram a delightful one with high cost performance ^ ^. The rice used for the brewing of this sake is "non-standard rice", so it is not a sake with a specific name (junmai-shu), but is treated as "ordinary sake". It tastes and smells like a summer sake.

As I expected, the selection of goods was amazing. (I envy those of you who live nearby.) Here, I found a limited-edition Mashidaya special order ‼️. You can only buy them here ^ ^. Well, since I came all the way from Iwate, I had to buy it, I'm from Iwate, so I'm sure I'll buy it.

Family Travel. Kusatsu Onsen Yubata Anzai Shoten After hearing a lot from the friendly shopkeeper, I decided to buy a second bottle, I chose this one for my second bottle ^ ^. It is said to be the best conditioned sake in the first half of 2024, with a mild fruity aroma and a soft mouthfeel. The "No. 67" is the number of the vat in which the sake is stored.

Family Travel Kusatsu Onsen, found a nice store in Yubatake 💡. Anzai Shoten Lots of sake I'd never seen before (^-^) I told the kind waitress what I liked and asked her to introduce me to the sake, and I wanted to drink them all! I decided to drink only two bottles here and chose this rare one👍. This sake is a collaboration between two top breweries in Maebashi, Gunma Prefecture, Yanagisawa Shuzo and Machida Shuzo, who share the brewing process. The "M" stands for the first letter of "Maebashi" and the first letters of "Yuto" and "Machida Shuzo," which are brewed by the two breweries respectively. Apparently, this is the last time this project will be held... It tastes like aged sake.

Akita Prefecture's sake is hoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood ^ ^ ^. This Kariho tastes impressively sour like a flax cat, due to the citric acidity from the white malted rice (≧∇≦) Such a thing. It is hard to come across.... I think I'll go buy another bottle now ^ ^ ^.

It seems that this sake was pre-released at the "Craft Sake Week 2024" held at Roppongi Hills. It seems to be the one of the "SAKE NOMIY" supervised by Mr. Hidetoshi Nakata, and I was lucky enough to get a bottle this time. The freshness, gasiness, and gentle effervescence are amazing. And it tastes great!

Lake × Whale? It is said that the name was given because the Ojima island on Lake Inawashiro, which can be seen from Mt. Nagura, looks like a whale! (Holy shit!) This is the first time I have had Mt. It is fresh and has a light and refreshing taste. It is a delicious junmai sake with a "clean sweetness" that goes well with meals.

There are many good sake breweries in Akita Prefecture. This Fukkomachi, which I bought along with Kakuemon, which was quite good 😋. The cospa was also good ^_^. We enjoyed comparing the drinks😊.

May 4 Left early in the morning to watch Akita Northern Happinet vs Chiba Jets in Akita Prefecture 🚗. We made it in time for the game to start at 14:00, but there were no more free seats 😢. On the way home, since I was in Akita Prefecture, I stopped by a liquor store and bought Kakuemon and Fukukomachi, which I had been curious about for a while. I later realized that both were products of the Kimura Sake Brewery. I didn't know that (^^;) Yaaaa~^ ^ It was more than I expected. Kakuemon is delicious 😋 I will buy this one again.
