Katafune was given to me by a junior employee of my company.
This is the first time for me to drink Katafune at home,
It is a Niigata Prefecture sake, but as is typical of Joetsu sake, it is slightly sweet and full-bodied, and delicious.
It is a good sake, carefully made.
I had it with furofuki daikon (Japanese radish).
I came home and drank a glass of wine late at night after the sun had changed the day.
When I visited Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture, at the end of last year, I was shopping for local sake at LaLaMieu, a commercial facility in Onahama Port, when I saw Mikotsuru and wondered why. I wondered why, but then I remembered that the owner of Shinsei Mikotsuru was a shipping company in Fukushima Prefecture, and that made sense.
It is an aluminum can type, and although it is fire-brewed, the freshness is contained and it is sharp and dry.

We drink Daishichi mainly with pickles with sake lees from Okawa Fish Store, which we got on a trip to Iwaki City, Fukushima Prefecture at the end of the year.

On New Year's Day evening, I drank a bottle of Kaiun Ginjo that I had bought at a convenience store on the first floor of the building where I work (for some reason, they have a larger selection of Japanese sake) at the end of last year.
It is a beautiful sake, fragrant, yet elegant, sharp, and dignified.
As one would expect from Kaiun, it is a sure bet for Kaiun.
I also like Japanese sake from Shizuoka Prefecture, especially Kaiun, Isohajime, and Kikuizumi,
I like Kaiun, Isojumi, and Kikuyuizui, but drinking Kaiun on the first day of the New Year is very special and seems to bring good luck.

On the first day of the nine-day year-end holiday, I went to a year-end party.
I brought a bottle of Shinkame's Active Nigori as a gift.
The gas pressure was so strong that I had to open and close the bottle nearly 10 times before I was able to enjoy it.
It is not fruity, but it is fresh, has a strong rice flavor and sweetness, and is frankly delicious.
It is easy to match with meals, and went very well with yakitori and nabe (hot pot).
On the way home, I had Junk Garage's mazesoba, which is so junky and garlicky that it has an addictive quality that makes me want to eat it sometimes, until I get home and the garlic smell gives me away💦.

We compared it to cold sake and room temperature sake, but when heated up, the sharpness and dryness of the sake became better, and the standard stable warming was achieved.
Personally, I would say this is the best sake from Niigata Prefecture,
I personally liked it because it is a standard sake that reminds me of Yoshinogawa's carefully selected dry sake from Niigata Prefecture.

I was glad that the buffet dinner included all-you-can-drink alcohol, and I enjoyed some snacks such as pickled wasabi, salted fish, meat and tofu, seafood yaki-sale, and sashimi.
Matabei is a local brand of Iwaki City with a 95% local consumption rate.
It is a classic, standard sake, but it is refreshing and easy to drink, giving the impression that you will never get tired of drinking it.
I haven't had this nigori for a long time, but it is as expected of Kaiun.
The overall taste is dry rather than sweet and delicious, with a hard (but refined), dignified, and dignified character.
The aroma and flavor of rice are irresistible.
It is one of the best nigori sake.

Yesterday it was my homemade beef stew and pork sautee.
Meat continues to be served, but the nigori sake of Kikuhime goes well with the meat.
As I said, this nigori sake is quite tasty.
Among hard nigori sake, I especially like Kikuhime's and Kawanakajima's.
About 15 years ago, when I lived in Nakano Ward, Tokyo, my favorite izakaya always had this Kikuhime nigori on hand, and I felt it was a safe and reliable sake as a food sake.

This is a gem that shows the greatness of Kikuhime, which uses Yamadanishiki produced in Yoshikawa even for this ordinary nigori sake.
