SNAKEIHARIZURU Junmai Ginjo
Rating 4.4
Alcohol percentage: 15%, Rice: Gohyakumangoku, Rice polishing ratio: 50
A classic sake. It has the lightness typical of Niigata sake, and the gentle umami and sweetness of the rice spreads out and finishes beautifully. It is well-balanced and never gets tired of drinking. It can be served at room temperature or lukewarm.
I've always been curious about this drink, but was hesitant because of the classic label and high alcohol content😅.
I was about to give up when I found it at Edion 😅.
I thought it was a honjozo because of the rice polishing ratio written on the label, but it seems to be a regular sake.
They have some left that were sold out at other stores, so it's like an EDION when I'm in trouble!
It has fruity and sweet flavor, but it's very thick and very strong. It has a strong alcohol taste in the latter half. I don't know what it is, but I thought it went well with soba noodles. The acidity is also quite impressive.

The impactful name "N" comes from the Tohoku accent of the word "umai," which means "delicious. As one of the most popular sake brands that conveys its high quality, it has been attracting sake lovers with its cost performance that surpasses its category.
