Souvenirs of your trip to Nagasaki Went to Amu Plaza in Nagasaki Station 🚙 to buy lunch and souvenirs. I bought sponge cakes and ate Goto udon noodles before going to the liquor store in Amu Plaza 🍶. This liquor store only had three types of Nagasaki sake: Yokoyama, Kinegawa, and Rokujyosu, so I bought two types (Rokujyosu and Kinegawa) that they said were only available at the liquor store! I opened this bottle as soon as I got home 🍶. As described, it is a classic type of sake! The acidity is followed by umami and sweetness, but there is also a strong spiciness from the alcohol! Better chilled (room temperature) than chilled 😋. Since it is an unfiltered sake (this specification seems to be original to the sake shop), it has a robust and solid taste and is very drinkable! Classic sake is good sometimes 🥰.

We just took a vacation to Nagasaki's Ioujima Island for a trip for two. We had lunch in Nagasaki's Chinatown? Lunch at Chinatown, penguins, and hot spring ♨️ at a hotel in Ioujima. Nagasaki sake comparison at the restaurant for dinner! The last one was "Hiran"! It said that this was distributed only in Nagasaki prefecture! Rich sweetness and sourness with a little richness😍. A little bitterness and spiciness in the second half. The first sip felt very Tamagawa-like 🥰. This is a sake that can be enjoyed on its own! It was quite a lot of sake since it was all half a gouge 😁.

Welcome to Nagasaki, TOMO🐧. Hiran Classic's fire-brewed sake certainly has that image 💡. The Nama Sake that comes out this season is a pichisuwa type with an increased lactic acidity and it's also delicious ✨.

A light sweetness and sourness spreading to a delicious flavor. It is a beautiful sake with little bitterness and was delicious with Unzen pork mushroom hot pot 🥰.

First up was the Reimei Junmai Ginjo! This is not an Okinawan sake 😁. It has a rich sweetness, bitterness and spiciness. The sweetness is not fruity but more like a Japanese sweet. This brand is new to me but quite tasty 🥰.

I haven't been drinking heated sake since it hasn't gotten very cold, but I finally opened a bottle of this one that I bought for heating sake. The brewing year is 2020, so it has been aged for more than 3 years! First, it was served cold. It has a slightly peculiar taste with a sense of maturity from the acidity, and it finishes with a spiciness! It is delicious in this way. Warmed, the acidity stands out and the spiciness finishes with a refreshing umami taste. When heated, the acidity becomes less pronounced and it becomes a dry sake that is very easy to drink 😁. I prefer it cold to warm 😋. It tastes similar to Sairyu from Nara 🤔.

Next is Junmai Is the aroma the same as the Honjozo? I can't tell the difference😅. Taste... this one has more acidity than sweetness at first. It tastes very refreshing. Is this one also light in taste? I don't find it as spicy as the honjozo. But I think Junmai is more refreshing and easier to drink 🤔.

I saw him at a convenience store and brought him home. Comparison of Honjozo and Junmai Let's start with the Honjozo. The aroma is soft and sweet when you open the bottle (the website says it has a lot of ethyl caproate). The taste is described as sharp, but it is surprisingly sweet 😳 but not strong, and the spiciness of the alcohol comes in the latter half of the bottle. Sweet but light and dry As I drank more, I felt this sweetness was a little persistent 😅.

Urasato, which has never had much to drink. Maybe it's because I usually drink after I'm drunk 😅, but I wasn't impressed. I read a review on sakewa that this Urasato tastes better after a long time after opening, so I took my time and enjoyed it 😊. First day, mild aroma, fresh sweetness (like 🍇), bitterness from light sourness. I don't find the acidity as strong as your post 🤔. Taste is fruity but the aroma through the nose is graininess Day 2 I think it has more sweetness... Some 🍇 feeling but sugar sweetness in the second half Still bitter at the end Third day very well balanced and easier to drink 😁 obviously sweeter than the first day 🥰. Fifth day Not much change from the third day? Maybe the sweetness has calmed down a bit 🤔. But the bitterness at the end is still strong I think I prefer it after the third day.

Your first drink I was looking for a sake to buy at IMADEYA when I saw MAJ's review of this sake and it looked delicious, so I bought it 😁. Rigel also recommended it, so I opened the bottle with high expectations. I see, the sweetness and sourness are good 🥰. I thought the sourness was similar to that of Senkou, but the raw yeast yeast in the second half is very Shinmasa-like 😁. But it has a more robust flavor than the Shinmasa, with a robust bitterness at the end... this is a good sake 😍. You might think I'm a pervert when I say good sake, but this is legit modern sake 😁.

This weekend we enjoyed a freshly pressed Chardonnay (a winery exclusive) from Kikuka Winery, which we visited last weekend 🥂. It's been a while since I've had a good glass of wine, but wine is good too! Kikuka wine is made from 🍇 grapes grown in Kikuka-cho, Yamaga City, Kumamoto, and is quite popular! If you see it, please try it! I also visited an event to see an artificial sea of clouds at Kumamoto Castle. It was lit up and there were quite a lot of people there at night 😱. I took pictures while getting squashed! After returning from the stroll, I opened a bottle of this Wakanami! It's from the neighboring city of Fukuoka... but you won't find it anywhere near here 😭. I popped it in with the other sakes! It smells like 🍇 when you put it in your mouth. The sweetness and sourness is followed by a spiciness! The overall flavor is well balanced and makes the cup go down 😋. I have to go to Hakata at the end of this month, so I have to get Wakanami!

It was Halloween🎃, right? I forgot about it because my family has nothing to do with it 🤣. I bought this sake from Kumamoto (Sandesi) to drink properly. It's made with sake instead of brewing water. I thought it would be light because of its 12% alcohol content, but it tastes quite peculiar 😳. It tastes a bit matured, sweet but also caramelized and sour. Is it close to brown sugar sweetness? It's a little bit like Tamagawa 🤔. But it's not as rich as Tamagawa, and maybe because of the low alcohol content, it seems a little thin at the end. This is low in alcohol, but it doesn't go down so fast 😅.

Kansai member Yoohee came to visit us in Kumamoto😊. His wife had to work on Sunday, so only Mr. Yoohee went to Kumamoto ahead of us. Of course he would go to Kumamoto if he was invited for a drink 😁. RIKI is closed on Sunday 😭 So, we went to Negibozu, where you can have a lot of Japanese sake and Kumamoto's specialties for our first stop! Yoohee-san took a good picture of this place, so I'm sure he will review it someday😅. We went to the second bar after drinking Hana-no-Kou, Kikuchigawa, Hanagaki Nigori, Midorikawa, etc. Japanese Sake Bar SQUEEZE is an all-you-can-drink bar with about 10 kinds of Sake, a lot of Shochu, 🍺 and cocktails! There was Denshitsu Kiku, so I ordered it first! The sake is orikarami, so you can taste the umami of the rice, and it has just the right amount of sweetness. But we had already drunk enough (100ml O O 4 or 5 glasses) to be drunk by the time we got to the first bar 🤣. After that I had 4 kinds of sake alone (I think I had a different one from Denshogiku, but no photo 😅) and 2 glasses of shochu and I was completely drunk 🤣. I hope I was able to entertain Yoohee properly 😅.

800 Check-in I've been drinking out a lot lately, so the number has gone up quickly 😅. I opened a bottle of Jikin to commemorate the occasion 😁. This is the last Jikin as I haven't been to a liquor store where I can buy Jikin recently, it's been sleeping in the back of the fridge for almost a year! The other day, my sake fridge wasn't closed tightly enough 😅 and the label on this Jigin is almost peeling off. I'm sure it's telling you to hurry up and drink it 🤣. Jikin on an ordinary day is good, but Jikin on a memorial day is good too 🥰. I can taste the flavor on its own and I never get tired of drinking it 😍. I think I like the Tokujun the most for some reason 😋.

local sake We need to introduce good sake other than Hana-no-Kou and San-do. Recently, I've been hearing a lot about this sake from the Kameyama Brewery! I've never had it before but was reluctant to try it because it's so dry... but then I found a small bottle 😳. I'll have to try it 😁. I can feel the astringency in the cold sake, but the umami is there! The aftertaste is very spicy. At room temperature, the astringency is gone and it's a dry sake with umami to dryness. There are no strange peculiarities, so it is easy to match with meals. It would be great with marbled horse sashimi.

Tamagawa ♥ It's the season for heated sake, so I stocked up on 3 bottles of Tamagawa 😁. Today we opened a bottle of our first sake rice "Hyogo sake 85"! This is the first sake rice with a romanized name! The taste is... instantly recognizable as Tamagawa's naturally brewed sake😍! I can't tell the difference between this and Kitanishiki or Gohyakumangoku😅. It's a very tasty sake, good cold or chilled 🥰. I was going to heat it up but it was too hot 🤣.

I must have only worked 4 days this week, but I'm so tired 🤯. I'm using my head too much, so I'm going to have to sugar up today 😁. I'm out of Kamikame, which I've been sipping on, so I opened a bottle of this one! I had missed the timing to open it. Previous IMADEYA Hanpukai sake I thought it was light even though it was a kijoshu, but it was a raw sake and 13 degrees 😳. The taste is very strong for such a low alcohol 🤔. It has a nice sweet and sour taste that is typical of Senkyoku 🥰. It's easy to drink after the thicker sake of Shinkame, so it's easy to drink and it's getting less and less 😂.

During the holidays, I went to a liquor store that recommends heated sake. Shinkame, Akiga, Chochin, and many other sake suitable for warmed sake 🍶. I found a Shinkame draft, but upon closer inspection it was made in December last year😅. I thought it's okay since it's Shinkame, so I bought it, and since it's a draft, I started with cold sake first! Even though it's a cold sake, I can strongly feel the sweetness of the sugar 😳. This is different from fire-brewed Shinkame. It's far from juicy sweet though 😁. The second half has complex umami, bitterness and spiciness, this feeling is Shinkame. I wonder if the taste is similar to Tamagawa's raw sake 🤔. It's peculiar so it's not for everyone, but I like it 🥰. I enjoy it at different temperatures😊.

Hi, Matsuchiyo 😃. In Kumamoto, there are almost no stores where you can buy Shinkame's fresh sake, and the variety is also limited 😂. I can't compare it to a fresh shipment, but the flavor was strong and mellow and rich, just the way I like it 🥰.

The sake stock at home is running out 😱. I was actually planning to visit sake shops on the last day of my recent business trip to Kansai... But I couldn't do that due to some trouble 🚄😭. I had a lot of work to do after the business trip, but now that I have a break, I can drink at home properly (because Argo doesn't feel like drinking sake 🤣). Jikin Junmai Ginjo Omachi First day, when it's cold, the bitterness is strong 🤔. As the temperature rose a little, the sweetness and umami spread 🥰. Second day I can feel the umami well 🥰. It has some bitterness, but it's nice and drinkable 😁. Jikin's Omachi is also delicious, but I think I prefer Hachitan-Nishiki's Special Junmai for Jikin 🜂! For Omachi, my preference would be Nanamizu or Oumine 🤔. I want to drink Okayama's Sake Isshuji (the sake that introduced me to Omachi), which I haven't had in a while... maybe I'll just pop it in 👆.

On my way home from work today, I bought this popular item at the convenience store in front of my house and drank it with my son for dinner 🍶. Gekkeikan Argo The first sip! What is this? No sake feeling. Slightly sweet and moderate acidity🤔. If you drink it thinking it's sake, you'll think it's too thin, but if you drink it without any preconceptions, this is what it is 👍. The aroma is slightly like rice bran, but also like sweet white wine. Some people said it was like a sports drink, but I don't see why they would feel that way 🤔. My son had a surprisingly high opinion of this, saying it's easy to drink and doesn't interfere with the taste of food 🥰.

Kumamoto Off-line meeting (2) After Jyushiyo, let's go with the usual feeling of this restaurant👍. The style is to have 2 or 3 kinds of sake that you like brought to you and order after tasting them! I wanted a fruity sake at this point, so I chose the Sono Kangiku Ocean99 Orange Sea 🤩. I can't review the other sakes (although I did drink them 🤣) Looking at the pictures, I see they gave me a variety of tastings. Ocean99Orange Sea has been reviewed by everyone in Sakewa recently, so I'm not going to go into details 😁. It was a very enjoyable drinking party at the Sake Festival! Next time in Kumamoto (more and more people are not doing sakewa) will be a New Year's party!
