I enjoyed the activated nigori sake from Suwa Gokura and Yokobue very much last year 🍶. I'm glad I was able to buy a four-pack because I was only able to buy a 300ml bottle when I came here in August before 😄. The aroma is definitely yogurt! Slightly carbonated and pleasant on the tongue, with a gurgling sensation of ori. The fresh taste on the tongue with a rich umami and a crisp dry aftertaste makes it worth repeating. ✨️

I was curious about the brand "Kamikigen" from Yamagata. It was the first sake made with Yamae-Nishiki outside of Nagano Prefecture, and I was curious about it, so I bought it immediately! It has a fruity aroma in the distance after opening. The taste is refreshing and easy to drink, with a tangy gasiness on the palate and a sharply defined sweet and sour taste. ✨️ The sweetness and subtle bitterness without a persistent aftertaste are exquisite☺. I enjoyed it as a food sake, but it goes exquisitely with rich food like miso!

This bottle was purchased at the Okaya City Toshimaya Brewery Birabiraki that was held yesterday. It is made from Yamada Nishiki produced in Nagano Prefecture. PÉTILLANT is French for slightly sparkling, so we opened the bottle with a pop! It has a pleasant gasiness on the palate. It is juicy and sweet, with a fullness in the second half, and is easy to drink! It's a 300ml bottle, so it was instantaneous✨. At the tasting, you pay a fee and get a "Masu" (a sake cup), which allows you to drink as much as you want of a wide variety of sake as you like! I drank too much of the limited edition sake, summer sake, and a very expensive Junmai Daiginjo 🌀.

My first Fukushima sake was Kunigon! The owner of the sake store recommended it, and I bought the last bottle they had. The aroma is rich and banana🍌. There is a tingle in the nose when you put it in your mouth. On the tongue, it has the lively impression of nama sake! The taste is a delicious one that makes you want to meditate and nod your head as the deep umami spreads slowly. ✨️ The acidity and the sharpness at the end make it possible to savor many glasses of sake without feeling clingy. Purchased at a direct store of the brewery on 5/5 during Yamanashi sightseeing (Fujiyoshida and Kawaguchiko) Special Junmai "Hokuroku The aroma is faintly of rice and alcohol. First impression is lightness and softness on the palate. The taste is quite firm and dry, with a hint of alcohol on the nose. It has a sharpness that is just right for a mid-meal drink! There was also a tasting at the brewery, and the special junmai sake that I bought this time was also available. This one had a richer rice flavor and really hit me hard. ⚡️ There were many other sake tastings as well, and many of them were easy to drink and full of flavor.

Purchased at a brewery in Hokuto City on 4/28 This is my first time to post a Yamanashi sake, but the second time to drink Shichiken itself! This time it was the Junmai Ginjo "Takayasu" from the seven types of Namazake sake named "Takebayashi no Shichiken" available only at the direct sales store. The lively mouthfeel, which is typical of nama-shu, is fruity and has a refreshing sweet and sour taste. ✨️ The second half has a calm impression with acidity and a slight bitterness, and the smooth texture on the tongue makes it easy to drink with a good aftertaste. The introduction recommended it as a food sake, and it was indeed enjoyable, with moderate acidity and sweetness, but with a calm and refreshing aftertaste!

In addition, this time, a limited quantity of recently released unfiltered, unpasteurized sake ✨️ The mouthfeel is smooth and thick, with a hint of a chili sensation. It has an exquisite acidity, a soft sweetness of rice, and a satisfying taste that is very delicious! The lingering aroma on the nose, which is unique to Miyamanishiki, is superb☺. I also tasted a fire-aged version at the brewery, and I felt that the unfiltered, unpasteurized sake was best for its liveliness and freshness, while the fire-aged version was best for the lingering aftertaste. Both are delicious. ✨️ If you like Miyamanishiki, I highly recommend Honkin!

4/16 at Takato, Ina City Purchased at the old sake brewery, which is open only during the cherry blossom season at Takato Castle. It was a valuable experience to see the inside of the historic brewery. Fairly sweet sake with a sake degree of -17 degrees. Mellow and fruity sweetness and aroma, but not at all cloying, with a hint of acidity that settles nicely at the end, which I quite liked ✨. It is luxurious, but you will not get tired of drinking it and you will be able to enjoy it.
