Buy at Asahikawa Marushin Shoten The rice used is Yumesasara from Tochigi prefecture. It is a low alcohol type, but it has a moderate sweetness, and as expected from an unpasteurized sake, it has a crisp taste. It is the first time to drink Sawahime, so it is difficult to evaluate only this one, but it is an interesting brewery!

I went to Nikko today 🍁. We hiked and bought this as a souvenir ✨. I usually go to sake shops and buy sake rather than souvenir shops at tourist spots, but there were so many handwritten notes on the sake at the souvenir shop that I wanted to buy all the sake on display as I read them 🤭 lol Only one of them didn't have a note lol. Sawahime no Hiyoroshi ‼️ Just "hiyaoroshi" on the label is enough for me 🥰. Unlike its appearance, it's refreshingly dry and easy to drink 🍶. It's calm and delicious with a hint of umami 😋.

The 22nd Hankyu Brewery Festival (2) Sawahime] booth. This time, the brewers were there. There were three sake breweries from Tochigi Prefecture: Sawahime, Tochikane, and Shikizakura, so it was a Tochigi love 💕 zone 🤗. ◉Sawahime Special Honjozo Made from Gohyakumangoku rice. It has a deep, penetrating umami, a bit refreshing, caramelized, and slightly sweet taste. This is a delicious Honjozo 😋. ◉Sawahime Tokubetsu Junmai Premier Made with Yumesasara. Juicy, acidic, clean, crisp, and light. ◉Sawahime Junmai Ginjo Nama Genjyo Hitogochi is used. It has a fresh, slightly bitter chocolate flavor with a refreshingly delicious aftertaste. ◉Sawahime Yamahai Junmai Hitogochi is used. Soft acidity and a gentle lactic acidity. Slightly sweet with a lingering finish. Another tasty one. Love Tochigi even at events 🤗💕!

The 22nd Hankyu Brewery Festival (4) We took a break for about an hour and waited for Nemuchi's arrival. While we were waiting, we met Mr. Usagigoten 🐰. From here, Nemuchi and I will go around together 😊. Love Tochigi 🥰① even at the tasting! There were 3 breweries of Tochigi sake lined up so we decided to continue drinking 😁. Sawahime-san is becoming a familiar face at Hankyu events. This time it was the brewer, not the toji! We drank Sawahime Special Honjozo It was delicious, full-bodied and full of flavor! I think it was my favorite of all the Sawahime we tasted that day! Sawa Hime Junmai Ginjyo Hitogokochi Nama Genjozo Unlike when we drank it at home, it had a ripe and nutty taste, which I didn't like a bit! Sawa-hime Tokubetsu Junmai Premium Yumesasara I've had this one in the past, and it's mellow and delicious. Sawahime Yamahai Junmai I bought a bottle of this one and drank it, but the hi-ire version is easier to drink. I think I've had all of Sawahime including tasting and drinking at home except for the limited edition 🤔.

It was hot again today, so I went to the local liquor store 🚴 on my way home from the pool. I bought a bottle of the newly arrived Hatsuzawa Hime 🍶. It has a fresh mouthfeel and a crisp finish. It has a nice mouthfeel, so you can drink it easily, but it also has a strong alcohol taste. It is the perfect sake for a hot day. ☀️
