KATSURAGAWA, which had been laid up for about a year and a half. It's too early to tell, but I'm looking forward to a summer sake on the rocks, and this time I'll have a glass of the standard warmed sake πΆ. When I opened the bottle and poured it, the aroma was freshly cooked and fluffy, like rice cakes or rice. It is a four-step glutinous rice brewing process. The mouthfeel is smooth like Gunma sake, but gradually a gentle and deep sweetness like sugar or spuds spreads gradually. When heated, it has a full-bodied, rice-like flavor. The sweetness is not too strong, but rather relaxing. Perfect for enjoying in the colder months. The sweetness itself is more subdued than the normal type, but on the other hand, you can fully enjoy the cleanliness that is typical of Gunma sake, which is a good balance!

As the summer is drawing to a close (the heat is still on), I opened a bottle of "Katsuragawa" sake on the rocks, which I was looking forward to drinking again this year! And the back of the bottle is falling apart due to condensation againπ. When we opened the bottle and poured it, the aroma was sweet and fluffy, typical of "Katsuragawa". It is a bit sour and comes in through the nose as if it is cold on the rocks. The mouthfeel has a pettiness by default, but on the rocks it is smooth and silky. It has a fluffy aroma like sweet rice crackers and a syrupy sweetness of shaved ice. As the ice melts, it becomes lighter and more enjoyable β¨. The lingering finish has a slightly tangy, spicy acidity and a tropical fruitiness, and the smart finish keeps the sakΓ© going! While listening to the chirping of autumn insects πΆ. I think it's time to open a bottle of "Akagisan" summer sake!

Next is "K Katsuragawa" which I often drink as a summer sake or something! This is the first time I've had a regular jungin type π. The aroma is soft and almost like a western pastry. The mouthfeel is moist and immediately afterwards the rice flavor is clear and delicious. Perhaps it is because it is a jungin type, but the full flavor of the rice can be felt more clearly than anything I have ever had before. It is truly mellow. When tasting it, the flavor is somehow reminiscent of yaki-sale or gyoza dumpling skin!

Yamatsuru is the closest sake brewery to my house, but I haven't had much of it lately. The last time I drank it I got the impression that it was peculiar and not really my cup of tea, but not this Junmai Daiginjo! Clear and fruity, good balance of flavors. It's also gorgeousπ. The price is reasonable for a Junmai Daiginjo, but I think it's worth itπ§ I can't underestimate local sake π

Low-polished Junmai-shu from Yamatsuru, a local sake brewery in Ikoma, Nara. The name is Choyao. It was a gift, but it looks like it will cost a fortuneπ§. I heard it was brewed using a method described in a wooden letter from the Nara period. I wonder if it is true. Anyway, let's try it. Wow! It is indeed as rich and sweet as I had heard! The sake level is a whopping -40βοΈ But the aftertaste is refreshing. Surprisingly easy to drink and delicious π. It's pretty good πI'll have to try this one too π. But I wonder if people in the Nara period really enjoyed this kind of sake π€.

Bought it with another sake. Well, I haven't had Yamatsuru for a long time π€. I heard the brewery was featured on a local Kansai town show and the online store server went down π³. I'm sure they were influenced by Yoi Don π. Purchased at a sake shop near Yamato Saidaiji station. A 10-minute walk along a plotted road will get you there. The brands they carry are Nara Sake, Gonin Musume, Shunshin, Yonemune, Kurumazaka, Takayuu, Ikegame, Mai-bijin, Miyako-bijin, Amanoto, Manrei, Furozumi, Shirokiku, Asahikiku, Dharma Masamune, Kurumazaka, Tsunekigen, Mizuo, etc. Obuse Winery's wines are available, but there doesn't seem to be any sake? Is it a dry sake with a strong umami and extract flavor? When the temperature rises a little, a little sweetness comes out. The sharpness is impressive. It is not my favorite type of sake because it tastes mainly dry. There is a graininess and nuttiness. There is a peanut butter or soybean flour-like atmosphere. I wonder if you can taste the sweetness if you drink it at room temperature. It's been almost a week and it's become more sour.

Sashi-Drinking with an old friend at an izakaya after a long time. We chose our first sake. I remember it went down smoothly...

Yesterday, I went to my favorite izakaya "ζ" β‘β‘β‘. I drank a variety of drinks in the all-you-can-drink 1 hour 1500 yen (*^^*) It was crowded, so I couldn't order at a high pitch, so I could only drink 9 kinds out of the 20 or so available...(-_-...) The 6th drink was "Miho". Oroku" and "Gassan" are the most famous sake from Shimane, so I haven't had many of the others. It has a strong sense of rice, but it's not mellow or fruity. I'm sure you'll love it. *I love it!

My first Kamekichi. And my first Marumori-san. Delicious food πI love Aomori cuisine! Sake is going fast. The first glass was Toyobai. The first glass was Toyobai, and the second was Kameyoshi! The taste is so unique...! LOL! It has no sweetness at all and tastes like it is being smoked. According to my sister, it is a sake version of highball. (She says it means it doesn't interfere with the meal. lol) I can't say it has no habits, but I can say it does. LOL! It was a strange sake in my opinion!

Simple Dry Slight aroma, sharp attack. The taste is simple and dry. It goes in smoothly and has a good sharpness. Accompanied by fried burdock root, it is like an accompaniment to sake and sake is an accompaniment to burdock root.

Miyakanbai's PB brand Miyamanishiki 55% Koji, Manamusume 65% Kake The aroma is rather subdued, but it has a clean, fruity aroma of white peaches, pears and apples. The taste is juicy and sweet like honey apple, just like drinking fruit juice! The alcohol content is a little strong, but it is easy to drink with a pleasant, refreshing aftertaste. It is as beautiful and delicious as one would expect from Miyakanbai.

Another bottle I bought at Hasegawa-san in Tokyo station. The first time for Otokoyama-san in Yamagata This is also the original label of Hasegawa-san. The rice used is Miyamanishiki, so it's the same as "Junmai-shu Gold Label". Anyway, it was a delicious sake with a lot of fullness. The sharpness isn't bad either, and it's perfect as a sake for a meal. I thought it was good for everyday drinking. That's about all I can say for a 1-gallon bottle...

βββββ A refreshing hiyaoroshi with a lot of acidity. It doesn't have much sense of maturity, but the umami is strong. Delicious sake that doesn't interfere with food.

It was my first time to try Usuzakura. I missed the chance to buy nama sake, so I bought hiyaoroshi. The rice is Ginfuki. It has a relaxed atmosphere. The aroma is a little fruity. It has a mild sweet umami taste. Is it sweet among the Hiyaoroshi?

π₯ It was chilly today π’. I opened a "first sweetfish" which is cool to look at βοΈ. The taste is just like the impression on the labelβοΈ It's fresh, smooth and easy to drink π. A cool sweetness that is elegant. As for the acidity, as you continue to drink it... oh, maybe there is a little? It's just a little bit. The bitterness you feel after swallowing is also refreshing π . The alcohol content is 16 degrees, but it's like drinking a low alcohol I feel like I'm drinking low alcohol π .
