At a department store
It's been a while since I've had a sakurabana.
Cold sake.
Juicy fruity aroma like pear with a hint of sour cream.
Light and gradually spreading gorgeous sweetness.
The aftertaste is sharp and fresh.
At my first liquor store
Bought this book to compare with the best sommelier's evaluation in Japan for the 2nd Sake Diploma exam.
The book is a few years old, so the ingredients in it may have changed...
Cold sake.
Aroma of white peach fruit and minerals
Gentle umami on the palate.
Sweetness and acidity are well balanced in the aftertaste.
Purchased at a liquor store while living in Fukuoka
The temperature has dropped a bit and it's cooler now, so I'm in the mood for a hot sake.
My first brand of Tamasakura!
Hot sake.
Moderate aroma.
Very sharp
Astringent but with a clean aftertaste.
Pale outline gives the impression of being gently enveloped.
Seems to be good even when heated to a very high temperature.
Purchased at my former job while living in Fukuoka
It's becoming popular here and there. It is a standard sake of the Shichiyou Sake Brewery, which brews Yuma.
I heard that they will gradually increase the number of distributors starting this year, so I really hope they will have a distributor in Osaka as well 😊.
Cold sake
Aroma: Modest fruit aroma.
Moderate sweetness with a slight acidity and astringency on the finish.
Slightly dry aftertaste
Last week, the Hanshin championship sale was on, and the department store was offering a 10% discount on tasting sale items.
It's been a long time since I've tasted Gozenshu, Okayama sake.
Cold sake.
Salty aroma of plum sour and grain aroma
Gentle umami
Sourness that lingers on the tongue afterwards.
Impression of glamorous Omachi sake rather than full-bodied Omachi sake
While living in Fukuoka, I visited the brewery with an acquaintance.
We bought a limited edition sake from the brewery.
The brewery also had a corner shop 🍶.
If you go to Yamaga for sightseeing or a hot spring trip, please visit 🙌!
Cold sake
Aroma: melon-like freshness with a hint of juicy melon
Moderate volume.
Gentle sweetness with a smooth finish.
Hi, Eezy 😀
I was a volunteer at the Spring Japanese Sake Festival and I was in charge of Chiyono-en and had a great time with your father 😇.
I would love to visit the brewery in Kumamoto 😇
I don't see them in Osaka 😅.
To the Takashimaya Sake Festival
Thank you for letting me join you, Nemuchi 😊.
It was an exciting day to learn about many brands and types of sake that I had never tried before 😄.
I was curious about Kinryo, which was recommended by a person I met at a sake bar, so I bought it!
Cold sake
Oily and floral aroma with a hint of acidity
Fresh and fruity aroma.
Light and well-balanced sweetness and acidity.
The volume of rice flavor is well balanced.
Junmai is less light than junmai ginjo, but the umami is more intense.
Purchased in June when I visited Higashitsuru Sake Brewery and Motoyama Shoten with the owner of a liquor store in Saga.
Saga no Hana flat polished rice.
At room temperature
Mild aroma
Smart mouthfeel with a core and gentle flavor.
Aftertaste disappears quickly
Last week, I met up with a local friend for the first time in two years and we went to Ueno Castle together!
On the way home, I remembered that Moriki Sake Brewery, which brews Rumiko's sake, is located in Iga City, so I asked them to stop by 🙏.
I bought a bottle of Ei, which I've never had before, and was curious about its cool name 😂.
The toji (master brewer) happened to be there and we talked to him about a lot of things! It was nice to meet him at the Takashimaya Sake Festival last week 😊.
Cold sake
Ripe pear, white dumpling and mineral aroma
Calm impression
Light acidity and round, full flavor
Very well-balanced with a dry aftertaste
First time at a liquor store in years.
My first brand.
Cold sake
Gentle apple compote aroma.
Light, well-balanced sweetness and umami spread slowly afterwards.
The aftertaste flows smoothly.
Chose Nishinomon, the first brand at a liquor store in a while.
Cold sake
Aroma of mellow green apple.
Well-balanced with gentle acidity and light umami.
The aftertaste disappears without a hitch.
This may be one of my favorites among Nagano sake!
Purchased when I lived in Fukuoka
This is my first brand name.
At room temperature.
Nutty and mineral aroma, cookie-like savory flavor.
Solid taste.
Thick flavor and dryness that cuts through with a pungent acidity in the aftertaste.
Purchased when I went to Shizuoka to visit my grandmother for Obon
At a local liquor store
Cold sake.
The nose is rich with banana, ripe pear and woody notes.
The palate is smooth with a gradually expanding umami flavor.
Soft acidity and sweetness gently cut through the aftertaste.
We've reached 900 check-ins ✨
The commemorative sake is Takasago, which I bought at a nearby liquor store when I drove to Kiyamasa Sake Brewery.
I've been back in Osaka for the past month, so I've been exploring new sake shops 👀 and thanks to that, I have over 20 bottles in stock at home... 😅I'm sure it won't be long before I reach 1000 check-ins!
I'll be actively participating in sake events in the Kinki area that I couldn't attend before 🙌!
Cold sake
Gorgeous ginjo aroma
Gentle and light on the palate
The rice flavor and the volume of the sake is enough to be served as a mealtime sake.
Hi Eejit 😀
Congratulations on your 900 check-ins ㊗️🎊🎉!
You're doing a great job of exploring the liquor stores in Osaka at a fast pace 😇

I've been flying too much and need to relax and drink for a while 😂.
Takasago, it was a beautiful sake! I think I prefer it to Jikin...

Congratulations on your 900 check-in 🎉Congratulations to Eezy-san, a great sake that fits perfectly for the milestone 😊It's amazing that you have already stocked 20 bottles on your tour of Kansai liquor stores😳That's a complete transfer to the Sakewa Kansai 🤣.
Thank you, ma-ki-!
We will work hard to reach 1000 check-ins ✊.
Please visit a sake brewery that has a direct sales shop where you can talk with the brewer 😊.
Thank you Gyve, I'm glad to hear that!
I see Genpei every now and then but haven't had a chance to buy it 😂If you haven't had it at the event, please do 🙇.
Thank you, Nemuchi 😊.
My fridge is already full, so the majority of my sake is either room temperature or warmed up 😂.
I'll keep trying to find more liquor stores in the Kinki area ✊.
The day before I left for Osaka last month, I went to visit the breweries of Segashira Sake Brewery in Tocho and Gomachida Sake Brewery in Toichi.
Both breweries are next to each other, and as many of you may know, Gomachida is a branch of Secho (by the way, Kinegawa in Nagasaki is also a branch).
I didn't know that Tocho was named by Takashi Hara and MacArthur liked to drink it...
I bought it at a liquor store in Saga station on my way home.
Cold sake.
Rich aroma of nuts and cheese
Easy to drink and smooth on the palate.
Moderate sweetness with a crisp aftertaste
Compared to Toichi, Tocho seems to be more mellow sake.
Purchased at a department store
I went to Toyohashi for an anime pilgrimage with my friends when I visited my grandmother in Shizuoka during the Bon Festival.
The day before we went there, there was a special on the world that Matsuko doesn't know about about anime holy places, so I thought there would be a lot of people there, but there were very few 😂.
At room temperature
Light white grapes, floral aroma.
Smooth mouthfeel and gradually spreading flavor.
Volume is also there and it lasts until the aftertaste.
The day before yesterday, my brother went home and my family and I went to Izushi, Hyogo 🚗.
Tajime, the brewery that brews Takezumi, was on the way so we stopped by 👀.
Last week they had a tasting and sale at the Kintetsu Department Store, but I couldn't buy it because of my schedule... so I bought the limited edition brewery's product!
Cold sake.
Aromas of ripe fruit, apricot curd, and cashew nuts.
The mouthfeel is clean and refreshing, with a rich and full rice flavor.
The acidity is enhanced from the mid-palate, and the wine wears off quickly and smoothly.
The day before yesterday was the first test for the sake diploma!
The result was that I passed without a hitch🈴.
But I was so nervous that I forgot my parents in Aizan... I'll take the second exam again with more dedication ✊.
So I opened a bottle of Kawanakajima Genmai that I bought when I was in Fukuoka to celebrate passing the exam!
Cold sake
Rich fruit aroma
Smooth on the palate.
It has a peculiar acidity and a rather astringent aftertaste.
I wonder if my sense of taste and smell are okay with the second brewing process 😂.
Congratulations to Eiji for passing the first round of the SAKE DIPLOMA exam ㊗️🍾!
We will continue to support you in the second round of tasting and discussion!
Congratulations on passing the first test, Eiji 🎉🎊
You must be relieved 😊I guess you can celebrate first of all with a delicious drink! I hear it's tough studying for the second exam, but good luck 📣.
First visit to a liquor store, first issue.
Cold sake.
Yellow apple, white bean and mineral aroma.
Gentle sweetness and umami spread smoothly.
Gradually the acidity starts to appear on the aftertaste and it ends crisply.
Drove to Gosho and Nabari last week after the Bon festival.
I wanted to visit the Katsuragi Sanroku Distillery 👀.
I just took a picture and left the place and went to a liquor store for a long time 🚗.
At room temperature.
Aroma of nuts and cheese
Gentle rice flavor spreads
Gradually the astringency and bitterness come out and it wears off quickly.
I prefer it at room temperature rather than lukewarm.
