Like one previous post, at the Kaitak Square Garden Anniversary event in Fukuoka, Japan. Miya no Matsu, which you don't see very often in Fukuoka. I drank to pinks at the event 🩷. I asked the brewer and he said they use Aizan 😳😋😋. I bought a bottle of junmai sake, unfiltered raw ver. for drinking at home! Cold sake. Aroma is slightly sour banana. Light but bold from the mid-palate. The aftertaste is a tangy sourness that lingers on the tongue. It seems to go well with dishes with strong flavors. If you drink it on the rocks, the acidity mellows out and it becomes even more delicious.

Kyushu sake breweries were here for the 5th anniversary event at the Kaitak Square Garden complex in Fukuoka, so I bought one! I went for 2 days in a row💨. The first day was Kihotsuru,LIBROM,Tenshin,Sentoku,Houjun The 2nd day was Kibotsuru,Miyanomatsu,Toichi,Manrei On the first day, the toji at Komatsu Sake Brewery, which brews Houjun, recommended it to us, so we bought it! Cold sake. The aroma is citrusy with a hint of acidity. Refreshing sweetness Impressive acidity with a sharp aftertaste Sake made with white malted rice has a very sour and peculiar taste, but this one is moderate.

Tohoku products at the Hakata Hankyu event. There were only a few items for sale, but there were a few things that you don't see very often 👀. There was a Yaemon that was mentioned in last year's "Sake to Drink Now" magazine, so I bought it! At room temperature. Mild, slightly melon-like, mellow aroma. Slightly classical and somewhat voluminous Dry aftertaste There is a sweetness that lingers on the tongue, characteristic of Fukushima sake. Next, lukewarm. Less pronounced, with a gentle umami. I prefer it warmed up.

Yesterday, a fair was held at Hakata Station to support the recovery of Fukushima Prefecture and Higashimine Village in Fukuoka! And I bought a bottle of Tomine Issen, which is not often seen in Fukuoka! This brewery was hit by torrential rain 8 years ago, and with the support of many people, they have revived sake brewing after 50 years as a way to support the local community! First visit to a Kitakyushu liquor store in six months with an acquaintance. First, we went to Merukido, a kinky liquor store in Kokura station building. Rairaku, which I saw for the first time and was curious about. Cold sake Aroma of sour banana Light on the palate with a hint of sourness lingering in the aftertaste. I think it is one of the lighter sakes from Hyogo that I have had so far 🧐. It may be similar to Wakanami.

I happened to find a fair in Saiki City, Oita Prefecture at Hakata Station. Guerrilla fair for 4 hours only🤣 Two sake breweries in Saiki City were also there, so I bought small bottles of both! First up was my first Saiki Hisho for drinking at home! You can often find this at liquor stores in Oita, but not so much in Fukuoka 💦. Cold sake. The aroma is light, but has a woody heaviness to it. Smooth on the palate with a weighty mid-palate and finish. Some sweetness lingers on the tongue. It is rather dry than very dry.

Purchased at a Wakanami tasting and sale before. It's a raw Wakanami Jun Dai, which is only served at events. Rika also purchased and reviewed it: ☺️ Cold sake Gorgeous aroma like muscat with a hint of sweetness. It goes down smoothly on the palate with ease. Very light with a hint of sweetness in the aftertaste. After a day of drinking, it has a full-bodied sweetness. It is a good value for money at around 3,000 yen!

On Saturday the 24th, Mori Sake Brewery, which brews Hiran, opened their brewery! We also stopped by Fukuda Sake Brewery on our way to the brewery, so this is the second week in a row that we've visited there 🤣. It was raining heavily on the way there, but by the time we got there, it had started to drizzle. ☔️ The limited edition sake was sold out by mid-afternoon due to the large crowd! I was able to buy the limited edition sake, so I'll open the bottle later! I also bought a bottle of Aoten, which I liked last year, so I opened a bottle of that one! Cold sake! Gorgeous aroma like green apple! Slightly milky aroma. Smooth mouthfeel and fresh acidity. But compared to last year's sake, it has more of a "sake yeast yeast" feel to it. I wonder if it has increased. I wonder if the volume increases as you drink more. I have the impression that it was more refreshing than last year.

Purchased at a liquor store The temperature has been very different lately. 3 days ago it was a high of 30 degrees Celsius, but today it's 20 degrees... I'm going to warm up with a glass of hot sake. It's been a long time since I've had a saké. I saw this sake featured in this year's dancyu sake special. At room temperature Aroma of chestnut and wood Mellow and round taste. Next, try it hot. Sharp taste that goes in easily. The volume is not too much. I prefer it hot.

After last Thursday's trip to Hirado, I spent Friday and Saturday sightseeing in Kagoshima for the first time with an acquaintance! The main purpose of the trip was to visit the whisky distilleries of Kanosuke and Tsunuki 🥃. Last Thursday Sakurajima erupted for the first time in several years🌋. There was so much volcanic ash that even the residents were surprised 😅It rained the whole trip due to the beginning of the rainy season, but it was fun ☺️ And as a souvenir for myself, I bought a bottle of Kagoshima sake, Satsushu Masamune 🍶 It is made by Daiyame, a well-known company in the shochu world! Cold sake. Gorgeous aroma with a banana-like richness and acidity. Mellow sweet type with a refreshing yet lingering sweetness on the tongue. Voluminous with a slightly long aftertaste. It would go well with Jidori chicken tataki.

Last Thursday, we went on a brewery tour to Fukuda Shuzo, the westernmost brewery in Japan that brews Fukkai! It is rare that the public can visit the brewery😊. I had been wanting to visit Hirado for a while, so I went sightseeing before heading to the brewery 🚗. There was still some of the limited edition sake from last week's brewery opening still left, so I took it as a souvenir for myself! Cold sake The aroma is mild. Slightly gassy feeling on the tongue The moderate rice flavor comes quickly. The taste may be a little stronger than the standard one. The taste reminds me of the sea in front of the brewery depicted on the label.

I bought it when I went to Kitakyushu for an errand before. It is the first brand of Gonin Musume, which has a reputation for being stinky(?) in a good way. It is the first brand of Five Daughters, which has a reputation for being "smelly in a good way(?)". First, at room temperature. It smells like shiitake mushroom soup stock. Some people may find it peculiar and harsh. Smooth mouthfeel and the umami gradually spreads. There is a slight astringency in the aftertaste. Next, warm it up. The mouthfeel is smooth and the umami spreads quickly. I prefer it warmed up.

Good morning, fukuchane-san! The best temperature range is decided beforehand when you're making the sake. Personally, I find that if it tastes good at room temperature, it tastes good at other temperatures too 😁. Recently, there are some strong people who dare to heat sake to hot... 🤭.

At the end of last month, I visited Baba Sake Brewery, which brews Nokomi sake. It was somewhat relaxing to see how sake is made in this peaceful land surrounded by mountains. ☺️ I learned a lot! On the way home, we got off at Saga station and went to our favorite liquor store! Cold sake The aroma is subdued. The aroma is subdued compared to the other series, which are a bit more floral. It has a mild mildness and a light aftertaste. Can be served at room temperature or lukewarm.

First time at a liquor store. Only sake for heating up 🍶 Asahikiku, Benten Musume, Lifumi, Kasumitsuru, Tenju, Chiketsuru, Hachibei Sakaya, Shikizakura, Suginishiki, Kikuhime, etc. But that's good 😊. The only one in Fukuoka city? It's been a while since I bought a bottle of Furoizumi. At room temperature. The first sip is heavy and has a peculiar taste. But as the meal progresses, it mellows out. It has a good umami and a crisp and sharp taste. Hot sake Unusually, it doesn't have the fullness of the other Yamahai sake I've tasted so far. The aftertaste is more sharp than the volume of umami.

AWA Sake Association Part 3 The last one was Grande Cuvée by Tenzan Shuzo, which is certified by the AWA Sake Association. Mellow aroma Mellow flavor from 3 years of aging Fine and gaseous like sodium bicarbonate. The lingering aftertaste is tremendous!
