Timeline
KマートThe aroma is citrusy like grapefruit. The aftertaste is clean, but you can also taste the flavor of the rice. KマートJunmai-shu made from Gohyakumangoku rice grown in Shimane Prefecture.
Its pleasant sweetness and refreshing aftertaste make it suitable for any drinker.
The label design and the name "Izumo" (Izumo means "clouds" in Japanese) give it a sense of good luck. KマートAs the amber color indicates, the mouthfeel is quite peculiar, with a viscous and sweet taste. The lingering aftertaste is long, but also has the sharpness of sake.
It is expected to go well with thick dishes such as simmered fish. KマートYou can taste the delicious flavor of the rice, but the aftertaste is clean and refreshing. It is hard to stop when served with snacks. KマートA cup made with Yamadanishiki from Takachiho.
The overall impression is light with a fruity aroma. It also has a clean aftertaste and is a good choice as a mid-meal drink. KマートA cup of rice with a strong flavor. Although it is sweet, it is not too strong and can be served with any meal. KマートSmooth on the palate with just the right amount of ginjo aroma. The finish is clean, well-balanced, and easy to drink.
boukenI got this at the Kokusyu Sake Fair.
It said that any opened sake was 1,000 yen, so I bought an old turtle that I liked at the fair.
I was a bit confused because the bottle was already opened, but the tank was full. I was a bit confused, but I thought maybe they sold it as opened because no one has a license to sell liquor 🤔.
Some prefectures were selling it at the booth, but I guess they didn't expect to sell it there.
Hachitan Nishiki and Momiji yeast are used. Fruity, apple and pear-like. A little gassy with a smooth mouthfeel. A little spicy at the end. I can't find the same label when I checked... New product?
Pineapple-like when the temperature rises.
There's a product called Red Turtle with the same specs, and I wonder if it's a renewal of that? Old Turtle seems to be renewing the labels of their other products, too.
But I can't find much information about it...
I feel it's very sweet when I drink Morinori Natsu-shu after drinking this...
I think it tastes better when it is close to room temperature than when it is fresh out of the fridge.
When I drank it at a national sake fair, it was a little colder than room temperature.
When the gassiness goes away, it becomes more like a fruity dry sake.

Fukushima ③.
The last part of the National Sake Fair...
Kinsho Sake Brewery in Fukushima City!
I've been to the Osaka department store a few times, but this is the first time I've had a drink there.
I didn't buy it because I thought the overall price was too high 😅.
Polishing ratio 55%, Yume-no-Kou 15%, 2400 yen
It was sweet and delicious.
Maybe I should try it next time I visit a department store 🤔.
I was annoyed when I left the venue to go to the restroom because the light of fireflies started playing and I was told that the restrooms were closed 😒.
I met up with Eezy and we took the subway halfway home together 😊.
It was two days full of brain juice.
158 warehouses in 2 days?
Thank you to
Thank you so much to Mr. Umaumai, Mr. Nemuchi, and Mr. Iji for sharing with us this time 🙇.
I guess next year it will be back in Tokyo, but some people didn't know it was in Osaka, so there was a complete lack of publicity.
The New Sake Competition open sake tasting is still in Tokyo, and that's a completely bad idea. I'm sure there are a lot of people who are looking for that...
I guess they combined it with the Shochu-Awamori Fair, so the admission fee was higher, but I think it would have been better to make it a separate event and make it cheaper 🤔. アラジンGood evening, bouken😄.
Thanks for completing your review of the National Sake Fair ☺️158 breweries are too different 😳.
There aren't many national sake events in the Kansai area, but it would be a problem if the tickets are sold out and even more concentrated in Tokyo 😌. ねむちGood evening bouken, thank you for your review of the 🌜️ National Sake Fair😊Thank you for accompanying us on the first day 🙇You drank sake from a huge number of breweries 😳It was fun, but I doubt there will be a next Osaka event 😅. ポンちゃんbouken, thanks for the great job on the Kokusake review😊That's a huge number 😳Great job on the drinking and writing!
I'm curious about this sake, I think it's on the Izakaya Shinkansen 😁.
Your bathroom closes early 😳 boukenMr. Aladdin, good evening 🌃
Thank you 😊
I served the subtle alcohol in a vomit bowl so I didn't feel like I drank as much as I should have 😅.
I know people come to Kanto even if you leave it alone, but I wish they would have been a little more creative in attracting customers 🤔. boukenNemuchi, good evening 🌃
Thank you 😊Thank you for your hard work on the 1st day 🙇.
I will have to go to Tokyo next year to drink the breweries I couldn't drink this time 🤣. boukenThank you, Pon-chan 🥺.
Miraculously, I had almost all of my notes and managed to finish them using the lists given to me at each booth 😅.
I was also sent out at the wrong time to open the doors 💦. boukenNational Sake Fair 2025 Day 2 part77
Fukushima 2
Sato Sake Brewery in Koriyama City
I've bought Fujinoi in the past at an antenna store that's only open on weekdays.
Polishing ratio 40%, Yamadanishiki 16%, Sake degree +5, 3000 yen
The official website has not been updated, and the label is a little bit different from the current one, showing a classic type.
Gorgeous and fruity 😋.
I personally have a good impression of Fujinoi, including the one I drank at home, so I'd like to try some fresh sake if there is any! boukenNational Sake Fair 2025 Day 2 part76
Fukushima 1
Last stop at the Fukushima booth as time is running out!
Ootengu Sake Brewery in Motomiya City.
I think they had it in the Fukushima antenna store which is only open on weekdays 🤔.
I looked up the name of the brewery and it seems to be run by a female master brewer.
Polishing ratio 60%, Yume no Kou 14.5 degrees, 1430 yen
It is more refreshing and modern than I expected. It has a light taste due to the low alcohol content. boukenNational Sake Fair 2025 Day 2 part75
Gunma 6
Mr. Takai in Fujioka City!
I think they had closed their brewery for some reasons and were shipping out their stock, but I saw on SNS that they have started brewing again. I see that they have also released a draft sake.
I drank a bottle of nama sake about 4 years ago when the warehouse was already closed, so it was a slightly matured one.
Polishing ratio 55%, domestic rice, 15 degrees, Sake degree +2, Acidity 1.6, 1401 yeast?
1747 yen
I thought it would be matured, so I was disappointed with its clean taste and no sense of maturity😅.
I wonder if there are any liquor stores far from Takatsuki station or south of Kyoto station 🤔. boukenNational Sake Fair 2025 Day 2 part74
Gunma 5
Yamakawa Sake Brewery in Chiyoda-machi
I drank a lot of sake at the Kokunisake Fair, and I realized that there are quite a few breweries that are not yet registered as sake breweries 🤔.
Polishing ratio 55% Miyamanishiki 14% Sake degree +1.2 Acidity 1.7
Gunma G2 yeast 1550 yen
Classic and orthodox impression. KマートA cup with a fruity aroma reminiscent of apples and pleasant acidity. Even beginners will find it easy to drink. KマートA well-balanced sake with a gorgeous aroma and the delicious taste of rice. It will be a good choice as a mealtime sake. KマートThe mouthfeel is fresh and the flavor of the rice can be felt. You can also enjoy the lingering aftertaste from the wooden barrels. KマートThis is a cup that you can enjoy the complexity of Bodai Hashiro. It has a long aftertaste and should be drunk with snacks. boukenNational Sake Fair 2025 Day 2 part73
Gunma ④
Shotoku Meizo in Amaraku Town
I have seen packaged sake made by this brewery in a drugstore or supermarket, but I wonder if they have a large production volume.
Polishing ratio 38% Yamadanishiki 15.2% Sake degree +1 Acidity 1.1 1801Kyozo
4105 yen
It's gorgeous and fruity, but I guess it's a common type of taste. boukenNational Sake Fair 2025 Day 2 part72
Gunma 3)
Shibasaki Sake Brewery in Yoshioka-machi
You probably won't see this one either, but maybe a liquor store in Sennichimae might have it. They even had some Left Oshin 🤔.
Polishing ratio 55% Miyamanishiki 15-16 degrees, Gunma KAZE yeast, 1313 yen
The official website has the above specs and price, but the information I received says Miyamanishiki/Yamadanishiki, Sake degree +2, Acidity 1.7, 1801 yeast, 1,580 yen.
Fruity and refreshing.
It tasted relatively modern, just like the fashionable label.
Forgot to take a picture💦. boukenNational Sake Fair 2025 Day 2 part71
Gunma 2
Nagai Honke in Numata City.
They call themselves Honke, but I wonder if they are related to the Nagai Brewery of skunk cabbage.
Polishing ratio 60% Maikaze 16 degrees Sake degree -2 Acidity 1.7 G201 yeast
1573 yen
Fruity and sweet, but a little spicy.
I think it's pretty cosy if it tastes like this for 1500 yen or more 🤔. RecommendedContentsSectionView.title
