This was also purchased at Oka Sake Shoten, the same place as Unjaku. The aroma is mild but unique. The rice used is Omachi from Okayama Prefecture. It has a dark mouthfeel and a bit of maturity, but as the days go by, it becomes more rounded and changes to a level where even those who are not good at it can go. However, even though it has become more rounded and easier to drink, the sweetness and strength of the Omachi can still be clearly seen, so there will be different tastes. For me, it's a very interesting sake! The first day I opened the bottle, I thought it might be too peculiar to pair with a meal. However, from the second day onwards, while maintaining its richness, it gradually becomes lighter and lighter, and is not bad as a food sake. If you roll it around in your mouth, it is a nicely aged sake, but if you drink it with gusto, you can drink it without worrying too much. Still, I want to enjoy the aged feeling of this kind of sake, so drinking it a little bit every day is good for me.

The last sake we had at Kyoto Stand Kiyo Kiyo was "Toyoyo Junmai Dry Musou" by Mukai Shuzo, also from the Tango region. The rough and powerful label may represent the fishing scene in this area. When you put it in your mouth, you can feel the umami flavor and the aroma of rice is crisp and full. Even though it is called "Dry Musou", it has a hint of sweetness, which makes it a delicious cup. It has been a long time since I have had a good drink, and the best part of drinking outside by myself is that I can drink slowly while considering what to drink and what snacks to go with it, while keeping an eye on my pocketbook. KATSURAGAWA, which had been laid up for about a year and a half. It's too early to tell, but I'm looking forward to a summer sake on the rocks, and this time I'll have a glass of the standard warmed sake 🍶. When I opened the bottle and poured it, the aroma was freshly cooked and fluffy, like rice cakes or rice. It is a four-step glutinous rice brewing process. The mouthfeel is smooth like Gunma sake, but gradually a gentle and deep sweetness like sugar or spuds spreads gradually. When heated, it has a full-bodied, rice-like flavor. The sweetness is not too strong, but rather relaxing. Perfect for enjoying in the colder months. The sweetness itself is more subdued than the normal type, but on the other hand, you can fully enjoy the cleanliness that is typical of Gunma sake, which is a good balance!

As the summer is drawing to a close (the heat is still on), I opened a bottle of "Katsuragawa" sake on the rocks, which I was looking forward to drinking again this year! And the back of the bottle is falling apart due to condensation again😇. When we opened the bottle and poured it, the aroma was sweet and fluffy, typical of "Katsuragawa". It is a bit sour and comes in through the nose as if it is cold on the rocks. The mouthfeel has a pettiness by default, but on the rocks it is smooth and silky. It has a fluffy aroma like sweet rice crackers and a syrupy sweetness of shaved ice. As the ice melts, it becomes lighter and more enjoyable ✨. The lingering finish has a slightly tangy, spicy acidity and a tropical fruitiness, and the smart finish keeps the saké going! While listening to the chirping of autumn insects 🍶. The rice used is Gohyakumangoku. I bought it at the end of last year at an antenna store in Toyama. I didn't know about this brand. The color is a light amber. The color is pale amber, and the flavor is just as it should be. We also had a chance to drink some more sake from Toyama Prefecture. Taitozan, the main brand of Tonami City's Yoshie Sake Brewery. The factory where it is bottled and processed caught fire this spring and was unable to ship, but with the cooperation of the Toyama Sake Brewers Association, it was bottled and shipped by Masuda Shuzo, the brewer of Manjusen. Purchased at an Aeon liquor store in Tonami City. The aroma has a strong alcohol-like scent. It tastes like aged sake with a strong sourness and bitterness. It is really like drinking aged old sake. Sake is a very deep drink.

A modern sake brewed by Aoki Shuzo, famous for Tsururei. It is completely different from the cup of sake Yukio that I drank before. It is sweet with a sour taste, but not cloying and very easy to drink. It was a low-alcohol, fresh summer sake, but when I checked the production date, it was about a year ago....
