As the summer is drawing to a close (the heat is still on), I opened a bottle of "Katsuragawa" sake on the rocks, which I was looking forward to drinking again this year!
And the back of the bottle is falling apart due to condensation again😇.
When we opened the bottle and poured it, the aroma was sweet and fluffy, typical of "Katsuragawa". It is a bit sour and comes in through the nose as if it is cold on the rocks.
The mouthfeel has a pettiness by default, but on the rocks it is smooth and silky.
It has a fluffy aroma like sweet rice crackers and a syrupy sweetness of shaved ice. As the ice melts, it becomes lighter and more enjoyable ✨.
The lingering finish has a slightly tangy, spicy acidity and a tropical fruitiness, and the smart finish keeps the saké going!
While listening to the chirping of autumn insects 🍶.
I think it's time to open a bottle of "Akagisan" summer sake!
