Hakone Drink Comparison Set (2)
On March 1, after a year-long event, I went on a trip to Hakone as a way of consolation! The local sake was served to compare with Japanese kaiseki.
It was my first time to try Hakonezan! This is the spiciest sake in the group.
It is a dry ginjo-shu as you might imagine, but it is moderately rich and very good as a mid-meal drink.
Of course, it goes well with ingredients as they are, but it also goes well with dishes that have been added, such as those using dashi (Japanese soup stock)!

This is another brand of sake from the brewery that brews Hakoneyama, a sake made from rice produced in Takao, the name of a local place in the town of Oimachi. I thought it was Mt.
The aroma is subdued and the flavor of the rice is refreshing. When paired with food, it is an unpretentious mid-meal sake with a hint of sweetness.
