6/10 Domaine Akishika. It is said to be a sake made from Omachi produced in a rice field called Kamimura-Omachi. And they say it is aged, so the price is quite expensive. It had a robust flavor and mellow taste. The bitterness that comes in the latter half of the sake was also enjoyable. I had no idea that such a sake was available here.

It feels light and refreshing for a moment, but then it hits you hard right after. It is quite sweet when drunk on its own, but when paired with a meal, it feels very spicy 😳. Well, even by itself, the spiciness comes through in the latter half of the bottle 😅. It has a sweetness like honey or sugar candy. I think the Sandesi watered down raw sake I bought at Harukas was easier to drink 🤔. It's easier to drink if you take it out of the fridge and let it sit for a bit 😋. I think I prefer Sandesi's raw sake in total because it's watered down and has more flavor.

The strongest cold wave has arrived, so it's not so cold that it snows, but it's cold in Osaka, too 🥶. I kept this sake at room temperature to warm up on a night like this. I kept it at room temperature and had it heated. The first aroma is a soft alcoholic aroma. The color is clear and transparent with almost no yellow tint. On the palate, a light sourness is felt on the tongue, which spreads gradually. The taste is a mild sourness and mild umami from the rice, with a mildly spicy aftertaste. Although there is a little bit of a kick to the sake, it is also mild and not harsh. In my opinion, it is best when warmed to lukewarm, which brings out the full mildness and mellowness of the umami. The aroma on the nose spreads a sourness, and the alu aroma lingers. The acidity and slight bitterness also become a little more perceptible. A work colleague gave it to me as a souvenir from a trip to Nagano. My first bite was "much sweeter than I expected"! It's not fruity, but more like a smooth and sweet taste. It is delicious and smooth on the palate! The sweetness is followed by a slight sourness and bitterness. At 300ml, I think it will be gone in a day, but I'll leave it for a few days. I'm lucky to get this level of sake as a souvenir!

GW 4 days 3 nights with wife, 1,500km round trip🤣 We went on a Sanriku car trip 🙂. We stayed one night near Sendai and went to Sanriku. We had an ume (sea urchin) lunch box at Kuji station, and spent the second night in Miyako. Miyako's sake brewery, Hishiya Sake Brewery, Senryo Otokoyama. Seafood Cuisine at Murekou, a long-established bar that has been in business for over 45 years. Today we had fresh and delicious seafood dinner at Today, the restaurant was run by a pleasant elderly couple, who were basically just a customer with a reservation, but they were happy to help us at the counter.

This will probably be my first craft saké review. What do you think of the specs on this one, which seem to focus on acidity and are modern? It seems to feature the use of germinated brown rice. Also, the mail-order source liquor store labeled it as orikarami, but it is a clear sake, and I suspect it is a regular product. The aroma is melon-like and floral, like a rose, and there is a strong acidity when you drink it. It has a strong acidity. It gives the impression of being wild. As it is, it has a slight sweetness and bitterness like brown rice, and a matured flavor. Surprisingly, it goes well with light dishes and salads rather than strong dishes. On the fourth day, it is heated, but the sourness becomes stronger, and while it has the sweetness of brown rice, it becomes like an oddball sake. It is not bad, but it is best served cold. It is a modern sake, but it has a floral rather than fruity impression, and on the other hand, it has a strong rice flavor, perhaps due to the use of brown rice, making it a unique sake. Personally, I prefer the sharpness of the sake, but the number of distributors is increasing at a rapid pace, and I would like to try other specifications next time.

Yesterday, I went to my favorite izakaya "我" ♡♡♡. I drank a variety of drinks in the all-you-can-drink 1 hour 1500 yen (*^^*) It was crowded, so I couldn't order at a high pitch, so I could only drink 9 kinds out of the 20 or so available...(-_-...) The 6th drink was "Miho". Oroku" and "Gassan" are the most famous sake from Shimane, so I haven't had many of the others. It has a strong sense of rice, but it's not mellow or fruity.
