Nakanori-san from last year's Shinshu Jizake distribution times that I drank last week: ‼️ Usually sweet and simply delicious 😋. I think I liked the secret course better with more flavor on it. It has a taste that is typical of Shinshu sake, and would go well with soba noodles or even meat 😋. This kind of sake is perfect for a regular drink 👍

Yamamoto Honke had a store at Sendai Mitsukoshi in conjunction with the Kyoto Exhibition. I look forward to Yamamoto Honke's "tarekuchi" every year at this time of the year, but it seems to take about one more week before it is shipped, so I did not get it this year either. A "sacred" store found near Nishiki Market in Kyoto. Great cold drink when you are finally able to sit down after a long day of walking 😀. It was slightly carbonated and went down my throat so well I didn't mind the 19% alcohol content 😅. You can't tell the alcohol content in modern sakes. Beautiful construction.

Today, following yesterday's Aizan drinking event, I went to the Osaka Bay Tower's Japanese sake festival event 😀. I was informed in advance by bouken-san that there was a sake that Saku-san usually does not have, so I made a toast with his wife with that sake 😇. The sake was even clearer and fruity than Saku's usual sake, and we were very satisfied from the start 😀. During the live taiko performance by three women, my wife and I, who are both learning taiko, were overwhelmed by their amazing performance 😇. We were able to compare over 130 different types of sake, but my favorite was from Yamazaru, a brewery located in Asa, Yamaguchi Prefecture 😇. From the aroma to the mouthfeel, it was right up my alley👍! I had a chance to talk to the brewer and asked him about the stores in the Kansai area that carry it.

Junmai Ginjo🍶Aged Sake✨Snow❄️☃️ Aged sake, light yellow in color. Cold sake, matured, Daruma Masamune-like. Not heavy, warmed to 60 degrees. Soft around the edges. Mellow. ☺️ It's still a sake for warming up. I served it with scallop sashimi sent from my relatives in Hokkaido 😋The scallops were huge and delicious💕. Purchased at Iida Sake Shop @ Shiki.

Since it's spring🌸, I think I'll have another bottle of sake with spring in it. I bought a bottle of Shunshin by Nishide Sake Brewery in Komatsu City, Ishikawa Prefecture. I've been curious about this sake for a while but never got around to it. I will have it with boiled flounder 🙏. I thought it might be a bit strong, but it wasn't. It has a nice richness, sweetness, acidity, and a mellow feeling 😆. It's a bit like a lighter version of Tamagawa. As the label says, I preferred it at room temperature rather than chilled 👍

I saw it for the first time at a department store tasting sale, so I bought it. It's not listed on the label, but according to the brewer's description, it's unfiltered undiluted sake. It says "light nigori" but it's not cloudy at all (laughs). It's refreshing and easy to drink. The acidity in the second half is impressive.

Comparison of nigori sake (Wakayama's favorite nigori sake) Following Minakata, Chokyu ✌️ This is the fire-brewed version of the nigori sake we drank in February. I buy every bottle of Chokyu I see that I have never had before 😆. The first thing that surprised me when I drank it was that there was no fizziness at all 😲. The aroma is somewhat almond-like, and it's cloudy with a lot of orioles, so it's like diluted almond milk. But it also has a sourness to it, so I felt a bit unbalanced 🤔. I prefer nigori sake with a fizzy taste 😄.

Nigori Sake (Japanese rice wine) First time drinking Chokyu's nigori 😊. I always buy Chokyu when I see the new label ✌. The ori is quite a bit more and has a strong fizzy feel to it. It has a lot of umami and a hint of sweetness that is typical of Chokyu, and yet it has a clean dryness that makes it a dangerous sake that you can drink with gusto 🤭. The impression is quite similar to Hirotogawa's nigori👍 It goes well with western food, and the omelette was a nice match 😋.

[Summer sake is also berry good😂] The most memorable brand I drank last year, super kyu🥰. Don't miss out on getting a bottle of summer raw sake that's also bright! This one is a bit different from the matured Omachi sake I had last year, and I have the impression that it swings in a very sweet and juicy direction. The aroma is tropical 🥭 and the flavor is perfect, with a long, sharp finish and a hint of bitterness. The umami flavor is firm, so it is easy to match with Japanese fried food 👍. Chokyu seems to have a different direction for each label, but each one has its own characteristics and they are all delicious and addictive 😍.

My first Kurosawa. Just after opening the bottle, the cork blew up to the ceiling. When you pour it, it fires strongly. When you drink it, it is refreshing like a carbonated drink. Immediately afterwards, a strong flavor and a strong alcohol feeling rushes in. There is no sweetness, and the mellowness of the umami and nigori is addictive. It is a very delicious sake. Shinshu Jizake Hanpukai drinking comparison: ‼️ Kurosawa: ‼️ We started with the Gold Course Taregara-mi blend alsobe. Apparently it's a blend of 4 different types of sake. Oden with a side of oden It's a dangerous sake with a gentle sweetness that is typical of Shinshu sake and a bitter and astringent taste that will keep you going 😆.
