The last sake of the second round of drinking comparison is Miyazaki's sake. I used to choose shochu for sure. As the POP says, it is tropical, mellow, and sweet. Unlike the first round of Kuho, the sweetness remained until the end. The other two drinks were dry and acidic, so the range was just right again. 👍️

I chose sake from Hyogo, a famous sake brewing area, on my second visit to the city, thinking that I had never properly drunk sake from there. However, it was not from Nada but from Tanba Sasayama. It is dry and acidic. It had a strong taste, partly because it was a pure sake. It tasted like a country sake.

The second round of the sake comparison started with a sake from Kyoto. The deciding factors were the fact that I had never had a proper sake even though I live close to my parents' house, the fact that this was my first time drinking Yamahai, and the fact that Kyo-no-Kiraki, a rare sake rice, was available. The first round was similar to the first round of the Teioh Night. The aroma and acidity are increased, but the taste is more refreshing. The old-fashioned label is also somewhat Kyoto-like.

The last sake of the first round of the sake comparison set is from Hiroshima. I chose a brand name that is very Hiroshima-like. It has a bran-like flavor on the palate. It has a colorful, rich, mellow dry taste. It tastes best with salted squid. The range of the three varieties was perfect for a drinking comparison. 👍️

The second sake at the Hatsu Meishu Center was from Tottori. I was attracted to this sake because of its New Year's-like name and unusual sake rice. It had a well-balanced taste of sweetness, bitterness, and acidity, just the way I like it. It was the most moderate of the first three drinks, but it had just the right flavor that I never got tired of drinking.

First visit to the Meishu Center, which I learned about at Sake-no-Wawa. I never knew such a paradise existed! The line was so long that I gave up my New Year's visit to Kanda Myojin early and came here to indulge my desire to drink (^-^ゞ). The first sake was from Tochigi. It has a gorgeous daiginjo-like aroma and a full-bodied sweet taste. The taste is full and sweet, with a nice bitter accent at the end. I was surprised to learn that Nasuhikari is a sake rice, but it is mainly used for eating Koshihikari type rice. I was surprised that it tastes so good as sake.

This is the 8th brewery in the Saku 13 Breweries series. We had Hatsuyushi-no-Honjozo warmed up with Osechi (New Year's Day). It's like a black sake that goes down easy and doesn't interfere with the taste of the food. It's a very cost-effective sake. 👍️ It was a convincing taste that makes me want to keep it in the house at all times during this season.

May you encounter many good sake this year as well 🐴. The first bottle of the new year was a bottle of Mizuo's Kinmon-nishiki brewed with Kinmon-nishiki that I had been saving. I opened it in time for Osechi. The aroma is like sweet strawberries 🍓 but when you take a sip, it is unexpectedly refreshingly sweet and acidic. This gap may be a new experience for you. It is deeply delicious. I will definitely visit the brewery with Iiyama castle ruins next time. Of course by Hokuriku Shinkansen 😁. PS: It was pears, not strawberries. My nose is not so reliable as I thought.

Oh, by the way, I still have another bottle of Romasaga travel souvenir from the wife, a sake from a 300-year-old sake brewery in Matsuura. For some reason, they seem to be promoting a kappa. I don't know the origin. ←I heard there is a mummy of a kappa. The taste is sweet and sour with a sharp bitterness at the end. The balance of all flavors is excellent. It is just a pity that it is a mini bottle. I was happy to find a good sake at the end of this year. ❤️ Oh, I forgot to bring dried sea bass 😅.

A gift from the company's year-end party. I jumped at the chance to try a sake from Aomori, which I had never had before. It is a sake brewery in Hirosaki, and the brand name is derived from the sake rice of the same name. When I think about it, it is a pity that it is Yamada-Nishiki (^-^-zu). When I poured it into a wine glass, it had a sweet aroma. The sweetness is good at almost room temperature. I imagine it would be sharper if it were cooled down, but I enjoyed it because I thought it had a full flavor that is only possible at this temperature range.

Saku 13 Breweries series after a long time. 7th brewery and finally the turnaround point. It was purchased at the souvenir shop at Saku-Heira station. The label says "brewing water" and it looks like they are particular about water. It is said that the water around here is soft water, and it becomes hard water a little further north near Mt. Perhaps that is why it has a mildly sweet and spicy taste. The sweetness comes at first, but as you continue drinking, a pleasant bitterness emerges. I looked at the online store and found that there is a Keio-approved brand, which is interesting.

The second souvenir from the wife's trip to Saga. This Karatsu sake features a picture of Shoki (Shoki the Plague-Queller). First, we had it cold. It has a soft sweetness on the palate for a very dry sake. Overall, it is a gentle dry sake with no corners. It is my favorite dry sake 🎵. The sweetness comes out more when heated. It was a sake with a wide strike zone as it claims to be its main product 😋.

I ordered a cold sake at a seafood restaurant in Yoichi and it came out in a bottle exclusive to the restaurant💦300ml bottle for a great price✨. It tasted less like junmai ginjo and more like a popular sake. It's a little too clean and easy to pair with seafood, but maybe it was a little twisted. I guess it tastes like it's worth the price 💨. By the way, the seafood was as good as expected 😋.

The second drink of the night in Sapporo is sake from Kushiro. Maybe the easternmost sake brewery. I'm glad I took pictures this time. The taste is refreshing and goes well with seafood. As usual, my memory is hazy and my comments are thin💦.

I forgot to take a picture, so just a comment. After the live concert of my guess, we went to a seafood izakaya in Sapporo. I was impressed not only by the seafood but also by the delicious vegetables. The first glass of sake was Kuniumare. It is a sake brewery in the town of Zuge. The name of the brewery claims to be in the northernmost part of Japan, and the name was given in honor of Kisuke Nogi. The taste was round and mild. My memory is a little fuzzy because I was drunk💦.

On the way back from sightseeing at Sakura Castle ruins, we visited a sake brewery in Sakurai. It was my first time to try Chiba sake. There is a campsite attached to the brewery, so it might be the best place to spend the night drinking 😁. The taste of the sake is to my liking, with a fizz and lactic acidity that I haven't had in a while. It's dry with a foamy, acidic and clean aftertaste. This is delicious 😋 I realized again that it is possible to make good sake even with a low degree of rice polishing.

This is the first mini bottle that my wife gave me as a souvenir from our Romasaga trip. When I asked for Junmai, she was very considerate and gave me a drinking set to compare 👍️ I opened the bottle of Shichida, which I knew the name of. It had a nice aroma, so I tried it in a wine glass. The aroma was gorgeous and chemical in a good sense. It has a rich, mellow, sweet taste with a bitter accent at the back of the tongue. I tried to marry it with a bite of a mutsugoro, another souvenir. I didn't know you could eat mutsugoro 💦 It may not look like it, but it tastes like a small peanut fish and it's good 😋.

The first souvenir from a business trip to Koriyama. I chose Nihonmatsu sake from the same Nakadori area. The label is stylish and not sake-like✨. Iodine aroma, looks and tastes like plum wine, full-bodied, sweet and sour. I've never seen a sake with a sake rating of minus 84 💦 It has some acidity, so it's sweeter and cleaner than the number. It's a great after-dinner sip with cheese or fruit 🎵.

The last bottle I got on my trip to Obuse. It is a sake from Ina, Minami-Shinshu. It is the sister of Otamajakushi, which is made with local rice, even the rice paddies are designated. My impression is that it is similar to Izumibashi, which I drank a while ago. Likewise, it is more balanced and dry when warmed than when cold. I am curious about the difference from the original Imaizumi's regular version and Otamajakushi (^-^-zu).
