The sake is brewed by "Toroki Shouten", a sake brewer who was involved in growing the rice and brewing it together with Wakatakeya Sake Brewery. I got it as a sign of support 😊 Is it what's called a light, dry taste? It had a faintly sweet aroma, but the sip was refreshingly watery! The flavor and bitterness come out on the palate. I was drinking it with cream cheese as an entrée, but it doesn't get in the way, so it's probably just right for a mid-meal drink 😊.

I was there just two and a half months ago, so I missed it a lot! Once again, Kamakura is a wonderful place! I bought this Wakaba unfiltered sake in the summer and felt it was still young, so I let it sleep in the closet. It has a good balance of flavor, with the punch of unfiltered sake, but without losing the simple country feel of Wakaba. I put it in the closet again, but it was good enough. It's not Wakaba, but Higuchi Shinyo, a triple axel that is anything but rustic! The ROC is still very difficult, but I hope the Japanese will do their best to get on the podium!

I was wondering what the same company that did Tenka and Shihu would do with the Meimon Shukai now that they've taken over the business? I was wondering what they were going to do with the prestigious sake associations, and then they released it 😊. Slightly effervescent, sweet and sour. Is it white malted rice? It's so acidic that I thought it was white malted rice. It also has a slightly dry atmosphere. It has a unique taste, but it is delicious. I wonder if the product for the Meimon Shukai that was sold before was Yuyamanishiki, but instead of using Yuyamanishiki, they used Gohyakumangoku to separate it from Honami.

The rice used is Asahi rice produced in Okayama Prefecture. This is a good food sake that can be drunk easily. It has just a hint of sweetness, with a crisp, bitter and spicy finish. There is nothing to hold you back, so you can't help but drink it. This is one of the several bottles I purchased from Doroki Sake Store, including the Koei Kiku, under the guidance of MAJ. Monsoon with an attractive label. Somehow I have the impression that Tamakae is not my favorite, but I bought it because sake really varies and I can't decide what I like or dislike based on a little experience. It is more refreshing than the previous Monsoon I drank. It's not as cloudy, so it's less kijoshu-like, but I personally prefer it. It has none of the bitterness or old dryness that I have come to associate with Tamakae. I guess the taste of sake can be completely different depending on what characteristics of the rice are brought out and how and where the sake is made. Monsoon is a sake I would like to drink regularly.

OSAKA SAKE & FOOD EXPO 2024 (2) Gindagawa, which I have had a cup of special honjozo or something before. Was Gintagawa sold in Niigata? I thought it was a classic type, but unlike the image on the label, the acidity was noticeable and it was a bit modern? It looks like it would go well with Western food 🍴.

Honjozo 🍶 JR East Kyun ♥ Pass one-day trip to Niigata 🚃. First, we took the Shinkansen to Niigata. Go to Aomi shopping center in Honmachi 🚌. Much darker. The sake 😅. Match with Cod Milt Tempura 👍. It is too strong by itself, but it becomes delicious when combined with snacks. I didn't drink enough, so +1! So... open one cup 😁. But I didn't really notice the aroma... But when you take a sip, it's very rich and mellow... Well, it's not for everyone, but if you like the fruity and easy-drinking flavors of today, you may not like it... 😰. It's a perfect food sake and can be served with strong dishes, but... it's more for those who want to get drunk after a few drinks 🥴. It's a bit like the Takezuru Junmai in the prefecture...but it might be better if it's heated up 💧. I prefer the one-cup "Honorary Ikezuki" that I drank in the summer. It still had a distinct umami and was less mellow, so I think it's for everyone 😌.
