Next is a local sake from Ofunato.
This sake is inspired by the "Miracle Pine Tree" in the neighboring town of Rikuzentakata.
A classic sake with just the right amount of sweetness and umami from the rice. It might be good warmed up.

I like this feeling.

I bought it when I heard it was on the waiting list at the Nagoya T department store. It was easy to drink and I loved it. The Kagaya-supervised Noto chawanmushi (steamed rice with crab innards) was delicious...perfect for tonight!

I was allowed to try a junmai ginjo that I had previously enjoyed.
Junmai Ginjo Drunken
As before, the finish was sweet but rather refreshing. When I asked if they had any of this sake on tap, they told me that it would be available after noon on Saturdays, so I might want to try that.
Honjozo Hatsufune Kuradashi Hatsufune
It has a dark sweetness and a slightly classical atmosphere, but is easy to drink. I had a somewhat perverted, matured and drunken Honjozo Genshu before, but not this time, and they said they mature the Hatsufune for a year and a half. This sake is said to be for year-end sales.
I think I'll go sample the raw sake and if I like it, I'll buy it.
