Tonight, I would like to introduce a new sake from Terada Brewery, which I was intrigued by the collaboration with Pukupuku Brewery and wanted to try it. Gonin Musume Natural Sake, Namahashime, Junmai Sake, Strawberry Mead Barrel Aged 🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓. This sake is not mead, but it is a barrel-aged strawberry mead with Terada Honke's pure rice sake. It has a very soft aroma, but the taste is also exquisite with the acidity of the sake yeast and the sweet umami of honey strawberries, a very gentle taste that sinks into the body 😌😋😋😋😋😋 The aftertaste is a little like sake, but it is like drinking dessert wine or sweet western wine. We used Go To to Echigo Yuzawa. So_1F3D4 brand and Naebayama brand that I don't remember seeing in Tokyo to match the local cuisine of the hotel. Junmai-Ginjo sake with Junmai-Ginjo specifications. The gentle aroma, the sweetness, and the refreshing finish give me the impression that this is a "Niigata's local sake" as I have always imagined it to be. In terms of Niigata brands that you can buy in Tokyo, I'd say it's similar to the Junmai Ginjo specs of Tsurueri or Kubota. If I tasted it, I'd never be able to understand it myself... After all, coming on a trip and pairing it with local food is the best part of local sake 👍.

The rice used is Gohyakumangoku and Koshibuki. My first impression was "It's sweet. ❣️ I felt that "Kosu-Mori" was also quite sweet for me, but it seemed more profound than "Kosu-Mori". I went to a liquor store near Niigata Station and asked the clerk, "Do you have any Yamama?" The clerk replied cheerfully, "We are out of Yamama, but we have Koshinoshiratori now. What is it? Tonight, I'm posting my second bottle, this one I've been letting go for about 2 years to contrast with the first (Miyazumi Junmai Nigori Nama) 🍶. Actually, I bought it at the same time as the previous Junmai, but when I drank the Junmai, I took it for granted that this was a sake that should be aged for a long time 😪💤 and it has been in the bottle for a long time until now 😌. The aroma is grain-like, or Western liquor-like, or mature aroma, and the smell alone is enough to make you feel drunk. 😵💫 I think it's better to drink it at room temperature or warmed than chilled because the initial smell will disappear. Maybe I'll give it a try after tomorrow. It's good to enjoy long-aged sake sometimes. ☺️
