Last week, I met up with a local friend for the first time in two years and we went to Ueno Castle together! On the way home, I remembered that Moriki Sake Brewery, which brews Rumiko's sake, is located in Iga City, so I asked them to stop by 🙏. I bought a bottle of Ei, which I've never had before, and was curious about its cool name 😂. The toji (master brewer) happened to be there and we talked to him about a lot of things! It was nice to meet him at the Takashimaya Sake Festival last week 😊. Cold sake Ripe pear, white dumpling and mineral aroma Calm impression Light acidity and round, full flavor Very well-balanced with a dry aftertaste

Chose Nishinomon, the first brand at a liquor store in a while. Cold sake Aroma of mellow green apple. Well-balanced with gentle acidity and light umami. The aftertaste disappears without a hitch. This may be one of my favorites among Nagano sake!

Purchased when I went to Shizuoka to visit my grandmother for Obon At a local liquor store Cold sake. The nose is rich with banana, ripe pear and woody notes. The palate is smooth with a gradually expanding umami flavor. Soft acidity and sweetness gently cut through the aftertaste.

We've reached 900 check-ins ✨ The commemorative sake is Takasago, which I bought at a nearby liquor store when I drove to Kiyamasa Sake Brewery. I've been back in Osaka for the past month, so I've been exploring new sake shops 👀 and thanks to that, I have over 20 bottles in stock at home... 😅I'm sure it won't be long before I reach 1000 check-ins! I'll be actively participating in sake events in the Kinki area that I couldn't attend before 🙌! Cold sake Gorgeous ginjo aroma Gentle and light on the palate The rice flavor and the volume of the sake is enough to be served as a mealtime sake.

The day before I left for Osaka last month, I went to visit the breweries of Segashira Sake Brewery in Tocho and Gomachida Sake Brewery in Toichi. Both breweries are next to each other, and as many of you may know, Gomachida is a branch of Secho (by the way, Kinegawa in Nagasaki is also a branch). I didn't know that Tocho was named by Takashi Hara and MacArthur liked to drink it... I bought it at a liquor store in Saga station on my way home. Cold sake. Rich aroma of nuts and cheese Easy to drink and smooth on the palate. Moderate sweetness with a crisp aftertaste Compared to Toichi, Tocho seems to be more mellow sake.

Purchased at a department store I went to Toyohashi for an anime pilgrimage with my friends when I visited my grandmother in Shizuoka during the Bon Festival. The day before we went there, there was a special on the world that Matsuko doesn't know about about anime holy places, so I thought there would be a lot of people there, but there were very few 😂. At room temperature Light white grapes, floral aroma. Smooth mouthfeel and gradually spreading flavor. Volume is also there and it lasts until the aftertaste.

The day before yesterday, my brother went home and my family and I went to Izushi, Hyogo 🚗. Tajime, the brewery that brews Takezumi, was on the way so we stopped by 👀. Last week they had a tasting and sale at the Kintetsu Department Store, but I couldn't buy it because of my schedule... so I bought the limited edition brewery's product! Cold sake. Aromas of ripe fruit, apricot curd, and cashew nuts. The mouthfeel is clean and refreshing, with a rich and full rice flavor. The acidity is enhanced from the mid-palate, and the wine wears off quickly and smoothly.

The day before yesterday was the first test for the sake diploma! The result was that I passed without a hitch🈴. But I was so nervous that I forgot my parents in Aizan... I'll take the second exam again with more dedication ✊. So I opened a bottle of Kawanakajima Genmai that I bought when I was in Fukuoka to celebrate passing the exam! Cold sake Rich fruit aroma Smooth on the palate. It has a peculiar acidity and a rather astringent aftertaste. I wonder if my sense of taste and smell are okay with the second brewing process 😂.

First visit to a liquor store, first issue. Cold sake. Yellow apple, white bean and mineral aroma. Gentle sweetness and umami spread smoothly. Gradually the acidity starts to appear on the aftertaste and it ends crisply.

Drove to Gosho and Nabari last week after the Bon festival. I wanted to visit the Katsuragi Sanroku Distillery 👀. I just took a picture and left the place and went to a liquor store for a long time 🚗. At room temperature. Aroma of nuts and cheese Gentle rice flavor spreads Gradually the astringency and bitterness come out and it wears off quickly. I prefer it at room temperature rather than lukewarm.

Purchased at Todoroki Sake Shop when I was in Fukuoka PB sake. Cold sake. Muscat aroma, with a hint of cream soda. Gentle acidity and umami. Slightly dry with a long aftertaste The richness of the aftertaste is impressive. It seems to go well with dishes with strong flavors.

Purchased at a liquor store Since it was mentioned in a previous dancyu PB sake in case you are interested Cold sake. Aroma of dried fruits and honey-like sweetness. Not too much alcohol even though it's a pure sake. High alcohol content, but round and easy to drink without ice Mature but still light. When heated up, it has aroma of chestnuts and acorns.

Souvenir Sake from Shizuoka PB sake from a liquor store in Senova, Shizuoka! Cold sake Muscat aroma Light, but the umami flavor spreads afterwards. Not very Hatsukame-like? After a day, it has a full aroma like yellow peach. The sweetness that lingers on the tongue comes out.

And we passed by Isobojama Sake Brewery, so here's a quick shot to commemorate the occasion 📷. Cold sake! Woody aroma like a cedar barrel Mellow and deep. Slightly high in alcohol content The aftertaste is somewhat dry.

I hadn't been to Nara since the Corona disaster, so it was the first time in 5 years 😂There were a lot of people there because it was a holiday, but I'm glad it didn't rain 🔥. I chose Toyoshuku as my Nara sake this time because I've seen it so often that I've never tried it! Cold sake Slightly yellowish Deep ginjo aroma Good width and volume. Astringent aftertaste with a touch of alcohol Fades quickly and has a modest aftertaste.

Purchased at a liquor store I moved from Fukuoka to my parents house in Osaka last weekend! Thank you for taking care of me for about 3 years 😭 I also worked part-time at a liquor store for about a year 😌I got to know many people through sake and learned a lot about sake from the brewery staff 🍶. Lastly, I bought this sake at my old place before I moved here. Cold sake Light but deep ginjo aroma. Light but gradually expanding in volume It has the sweetness characteristic of Saganohana and the umami of Yamadanishiki. It goes well with dishes with a lot of flavor.
