This is Nada Kiku's Junmai Daiginjo spec "Kiku no Shizuku".
100% Yamadanishiki from Hyogo Prefecture
Polishing ratio is 48
Alcohol content is 15
Compared to the Junmai sake we just drank, the aroma is more gorgeous and the taste is sweeter and more refined with a full body and sharpness without any cloying taste 😃.
I like this one a lot 😙.
I enjoyed it with the same oden, but with a darker, fatty flavor like yellowtail rather than tofu 😊.
Today, after visiting a bakery that Kami wanted to go to in Kobe City and a liquor store that I wanted to stop by, we had lunch in Himeji City at the request of Kami, who wanted to eat Himeji Oden.
What a surprise 💦💦 she gave me permission to have a lunchtime drink.
She said she would drive me home, so I took her up on her offer 😙.
So we ordered Nada Kiku, a local sake from Himeji.
What a surprise, it's half price on weekdays for lunch: ‼️
The specs are 21% Yamadanishiki and 79% Hyogo Yume Nishiki.
Rice polishing ratio is 70%.
Alcohol content is 15
Fruity aroma, pear-like sweet taste on the palate, then spiciness.
The taste of rice lingers in the aftertaste 😊.
It came with yellowtail, grilled tofu, and daikon radish, but the combination with grilled tofu goes well together 😄.
Good evening, soumacho 😃.
You got 🍞 and 🍶 respectively 🚙Oden🍢 for lunch is great 🤗.
And to be able to have someone drive you around and drink 🤩 would never happen at my house 😆.
Good evening, Jay & Nobby😄!
It's a staple in our house 😙 that we often go out for 🍞 and 🍶!
We rarely get to do lunchtime drinking, so that was awesome👍.
Can't get enough of 🍢 and 🍶😁.
Good evening, soumacho ^_^
My wife also loves bread🍞 and is checking out the store ✌️
Win-win✨ we can both buy what we want.
Plus, lunchtime drinking & half price ☺️
Good morning, Manta 😀.
Thanks for your comment 🙇.
I'm looking into a liquor store 🍶 to match my wife's bakery 🍞😙.
We're a lot like each other 😁.
Hooray for daytime drinking ‼️
The 22nd Hankyu Brewery Festival㉔
Nada Kiku] booth.
The usual pushy, businesslike master brewer, Mr. Mitsusa Kawaishi, called us in for a tasting.
I got the impression that they always bring limited products to events and functions. The limited edition of the hidden sake was sold out.
I was almost at my limit point of drunkenness...
◉Judo Junmai Daiginjo
This is a sake that I see every time I visit Japan, even though they say it's for export and therefore hard to buy. It has a fruity, refreshing sweetness. The aftertaste is a bit spicy.
Nada Kiku Junmai Ginjo
A very clean and refreshing sake.
Junmai Daiginjo MISA Aizan 901
The first taste of acidity, followed by a little bit of sweetness and a hint of umami.
Bouken-san seemed to have reached his limit, so I moved on to the next one on my own.
The 22nd Hankyu Brewery Festival㉓
I tend to go through the Nadagiku booth because I might buy something if I notice it😅.
The hidden sake was sold out and the tasting was also gone 😿.
It's a pity because the light green 500ml bottles used for the exhibited sake were so attractive...
I drank
Judo Junmai Daiginjo
A sake only available in France. I feel like they bring a lot of it to events despite saying they can't buy it😅.
It was more fruity and sweet than when I drank it at home in the past.
Nada Kiku Junmai Ginjo
Hmmm, it wasn't good somehow.
Junmai Daiginjo Aizan MISA901
Sold in advance of the brewer's festival.
Gorgeous and slightly sweet. It has a gentle mouthfeel without a sake feel.
We took a break again, and Nemuchi-san was drinking Iori from Okayama Prefecture.
I really wanted to drink Omachi, but there was a rare Shinkame left for the event and Yui was on his way here, so I saved it for later.
At the traveling SAKE in Hankyu Department Store.
Mr. Mitsusa, the president and chief brewer, was not present this time 😥.
What we drank here was
Nada Kiku Junmai Ginjo
Nada Kiku Junmai Unfiltered Nama Sake
MISA Special Junmai
MISA Gokumi Daiginjo Unfiltered Nama Sake
Judo Junmai Daiginjo
I bought and drank Judo in the past, so I didn't take a picture of it.
I think I have drank most of the ones with similar specs in past tastings.
I think the NISA Kyokumi was beautiful and tasty.
I think my favorite is Junmai Unfiltered Nama sake.
I don't remember much about it though😅.
