HYOGO SAKE EXPO 2024⑥
I've had this sake at Ebetsu-san in the past, but only one bottle of Honjozo is available, so this is a good opportunity to try it.
There is also another brand called Kunisan Ichi.
It's a honjozo, but it doesn't look like it's been hydrogenated.
It is refreshing and easy to drink.
I think there are not many honjozo with such a beautiful taste.
I think Ozeki probably makes it.
Third, my recommendations are now full of Hyogo sake 😅.
Good morning, bouken: ❗️
I stopped by on the first day to see what was going on but didn't go to the Gokoku booth because I had some business 😭 it looks good, maybe I'll stop by on my way home from work on the last 7 days 🤣.
Jay & Nobby, good evening 🌃
It happens sometimes when you keep drinking the same prefecture 😁.
I love Tochigi 🥰 and Hyogo 🥰 through and through 😌.
When I get 🌟5 in my 14yo, I'm like "I can't do it 🤣
Good evening, Pon-chan.
Amongst all the Junmai, only Meijo and Nada Boast were Honjozo 😊.
It was an easy-drinking honjozo with no unpleasant parts 😋.
I know a place that sells 1 bottle, but I wish they would offer 4 or 3 ㌥ bottles if possible 🥺.
HYOGO SAKE EXPO 2024⑤.
Shimabijin is a sake that I have had in the past, such as Nama-no-Harajiku and Jun-Dai.
It is refreshing, with a hint of acidity and a gentle sweetness.
I thought the same thing about the sake I drank in the past, but Shimabijin produces delicious sake even though they do not brew their own sake!
The higher the temperature, the more classic it becomes.
HYOGO SAKE EXPO 2024④.
Since it was a special occasion, I ordered the A set for 660 yen since there were still some minor breweries. I was afraid I would get drunk if I didn't eat, so I ordered Hinepon, a specialty of Banshu 😁.
The first brewery in the A set is Sakura Ichimonji.
It is a brewery of the Hakutsuru group.
I've had Tamba Sakura in the past, but this is the regular brand.
It's almost only distributed in Tamba Sasayama city, but according to past information, it was once stocked at an AEON store in Itami?
I don't have a chance to get it because it's a 1.5 liter bottle 😅.
It's a little bit lactic acidic, and it's like a Japanese sake, but you can taste the sweetness of the rice.
It is an affiliate company of Hakutsuru, and most of the sake they make is sold to Hakutsuru, so you can tell that they are a very talented brewery.
Like Raku-no-Sei and Morinori, the breweries that used to sell sake barrels to big breweries must have a lot of power.
HYOGO SAKE EXPO 2024③.
Rakuraku zuru? Tano-no-zuru?
No, it's Sasazuru 😁.
Izushi Sake Brewery's 200 year old red clay warehouse still exists.
Even more acidic than Sennenichi. Overall, it is refreshing.
I thought it would be extremely spicy, but it is quite easy to drink.
Of the B set, Nada Ichi is my favorite.
I heard later that this brewery doesn't make it anymore and that it might contain sake from a famous brewery in the Tajima area 🤔. 🤔.
It's ok if it tastes good even if they don't brew it themselves 😋.
I was also interested in the King Brewery Inami that koge2 and Wakata-san were drinking, but I decided to skip it this time because it's available at Yamaya and I don't need to drink it now!
Good evening, bouken 🦉.
Tanotonozuru🤣That's a little too unexpected...
But still, it's hard to read💦I can't read it as "sasazuru"😳
I want to drink with Izushi's Sara-soba 😋.
HYOGO SAKE EXPO 2024 (2)
Chikamoto's mother works at this brewery. I heard that uniforms and goods are displayed in the warehouse. ⚾️
The official website says that the sake is Junmai Genmai, but according to the official website, it is Special Junmai.
The alcohol content is 18-19%, but it is not too strong for the alcohol content. Sake meter is +3.
It has a graininess and a little sourness. Overall, a classic impression.
HYOGO SAKE EXPO 2024①.
I had planned not to go to this year's event because there were no free tastings, but I went to the booth of Hyogo Gokoku World in the venue and found out that I could drink some minor breweries!
Last year, I ran into the governor of Hyogo Prefecture 😅.
We started with the 880 yen B set.
You can choose any three sakes from the B set.
It's been a while since I had a fresh stored sake at an event in 2019.
It's delicious, more gorgeous and sweet than I expected.
I wonder which brewery they consign it to? Shiroshika? Shirataka?
The label is said to be by Ryohei Koiso.
Well, I went to the Koiso Ryohei Museum in Rokko Island when I was a kid 🤔.
I'm in the middle of an offline post...
Sometimes with Hyogo sake
On the last day of Bon vacation, Yoohee and I went to Mystery Chi-ya, then we parted and I went to Kobe Hankyu...
Mr. Norimasa, the toji (master brewer), was there...
The ginjo aroma is very gorgeous and elegant. It has a high alcohol content, so it's very drinkable. The second half is spicy and sharp.
The spiciness increases as the temperature rises...
The specs of other breweries would cost more than 5,000 yen, but this one is in the 3,000 yen range!
The toji-san was also making a big appeal by quoting other breweries' sake 😁.
I think he said it's a sake to be presented at a sake competition 🤔.
The box is gorgeous and well made with a cushion on the bottom 😻
bouken, congratulations on 3500 check-ins 🎉Yes, you are a local who loves his hometown 🤗3500 reviews is a big record, even Otani is surprised 😆 You are a super legend 🏆️
Thank you, Neemuchi 🙇 I thought it would be nice to show some local love once in a while 😁.
I think I need to show my love for my hometown once in a while 😁.
There are still many people with more CIs than me, so I'm afraid I'll get angry if I compare myself to Otani-san 😱.
Thanks Ponchan 🙇.
I believe they said it was a sake that was entered in a competition 😳
It tasted like the kind of sake you would drink on New Year's or a happy occasion 😋.
I hope this review is helpful 🥺.
Congratulations to bouken on his 3500 check-ins: ㊗️🎉!
You've been checking in at an unbelievable speed 😳What's amazing is that you're so fast and yet you remember so much about sake: ☝️
A living legend!
Thank you Maru 🙏.
The pace is exploding with the event participation😅.
I'm taking notes while drinking, so if I didn't take notes, I'll just have to write it down from my imagination 🤣.
Congratulations bouken on your 3500 check-ins ㊗️🎉🎉🎉!
It's 50-50 in the Salmon River world 👏!
Yukihikoyama, 35% polished rice, in the 3000 yen range, gorgeous and drinkable... 😳
Check it out✅🫡.
Congratulations to bouken on his 3,500 check-ins 🍾.
I wish I had followed you after that 💦.
The box is gorgeous and I thought it would be a nice souvenir for my parents 💡.
Thank you, Mr. Yoohee 🙇.
I believe you met up with your wife after the mystery chi-ya and went home?
I've never seen such a gorgeous sake in a paper box even if it costs more than 5000 yen 😳
After leaving Mystery Chi-Ya, I left Mr. Yoohee and went to Kobe Hankyu.
There was a tasting and sale of Yukihikosan, so we went there.
I drank
Yume Nadeshiko Junmai Ginjyo Nama Shu
Sake made with Nadeshiko yeast!
I didn't take a picture of it because I drank it at home in the past.
I think it's the sweetest sake at Yukihikoyama.
Junmai Ginjo Unfiltered Nama Sake
I drank this one in the past, so I didn't take a picture.
I was told that many men like this one.
It's not as sweet as Yume Nadeshiko, but I like it because it's a sweet-ish type of umami taste 😋.
Tsubosaka Trial 6th wine yeast brewing
A challenge sake brewed with wine yeast and low alcohol content.
Sweet and sour or sour and a bit peculiar 🤔I was going to buy this one but 😅
Oni Shin Shin Junmai
Forgot to take a picture💦.
It's a very dry sake with a sake strength of +15, but it doesn't feel as spicy as it says and is easy to drink!
Yamahai Junmai
Less harsh than wine yeast, but more acidic.
Yobou Hyakunen Yamahai Junmai
Sake made with Benkei. Slightly sweet and refreshing.
Daiginjo
Polished to 35% but very cosy at 3,300 yen.
It is not usually sold outside of the brewery, so buy this one!
I came here to drink it because Mr. Icoma said he doesn't sell wine yeast! I told him I'd be mad if he didn't. 🤣
I bought some Kinryo at Kobe Hankyu and went home👍.
I haven't had a Kinryo in a long time and I don't remember the last one 💦.
Anyway, I had it for the first time.
First of all, the aroma of koji (malted rice) wafted through the air and it looked delicious 🤤 even before I drank it.
The sweetness spreads at first, but later it comes on strong and tasty.
The overall taste is very strong, so I could not go for a big gulp.
It's a 17 degree C sake, unfiltered junmai ginjo-nama sake 😁.
I could go on the rocks with ice 👍
When I dropped by Kobe Hankyu at the end of the year, I was about to pass by it because I didn't have any sake, but then I found this one!
I love Tochigi again 😊.
It's thin and cloudy. Fresh, clean, sweet and juicy.
First time I've ever had a draft sake and it's so good.
Even after drinking it again, it tastes like a refreshing apple.
Purchased at the HYOGO SAKE EXPO.
The aroma is of aged aroma like Shaoxing wine. The hint of gunpowder-like aroma. I think it is clean and easy to drink for an aged wine. I thought it would be good to drink with fruits and sweets. The acidity is a nice accent.
Perhaps because it is a daiginjo, it feels fruity even though it is an aged sake.
Purchased at the HYOGO SAKE EXPO. The top aroma is slightly woody. It is a type of sake that focuses on the umami of rice without being flashy or impactful. The spiciness in the latter half of the aroma is quite sharp. Overall, it tastes like Shirasagi no Shiro (castle of the egret), but I think I prefer the one made with Nojoho.
I think it's quite dry among all the Shirasagi no Shirojo I've had so far.
I should have bought the Hiyahiroshi that they brought to Takashimaya because it was actually a draft.... I remember the hiyaoroshi was easier to drink 🤔.
I think it would be better if it was at room temperature, so it would have more acidity.
It tastes better after a few more days.
It has plum and creamy nuance.
Sake purchased at the HYOGO SAKE EXPO.
The rice is Yamadanishiki and Gohyakumangoku.
I thought it was my first time drinking this sake, but I've already had a similar sake with a different label. It's a sweet, sour, and bitter sake. The sourness has a nutty taste to it. It has a character that other sakes don't have.
It doesn't feel as spicy as the +8 sake.
The aftertaste is spicy and the nutty feeling lingers in the mouth for a long time.
It is quite dry, but it has a unique charm.
We had a tasting at HYOGO SAKE EXPO Kobe Hankyu. It was a pity that there were not many customers on a weekday. The brewer explained that their name is known overseas like Otters. The tasting of Kasumitsuru was closed. We moved on to the Eaton's Corner and enjoyed sushi from Uoki. I forgot the rest (...;)
From the brewer's description
Special Junmai Akashitai 720ml
Ingredients: Rice, Rice malt
Rice used: 100% Yamadanishiki produced in Hyogo Prefecture
Polishing ratio 60

Capacity 720ml
Degree of sweetness/spiciness: Sweet/Hot/Hot
How to drink: room temperature, lukewarm or hot (15-50℃)
Product Description A well-balanced junmai-shu with a refreshing taste that allows you to enjoy the full flavor of the rice.
It can be enjoyed at a wide range of temperatures, from chilled to lukewarm or hot, and is an enjoyable sake with different flavors.
Storage Method Store in a cool, dark place away from high temperatures and direct sunlight.
Sake purchased at the HYOGO SAKE EXPO.
It is a clear and light sake.
I think it goes well with sushi.
The atmosphere of the label suggests that it is served in bottles at restaurants.
Moving from the HYOGO SAKE EXPO venue to the basement, I found Haneda Sake Brewery there, so I decided to have a tasting.
I tasted the following
Haneda Junmai Hiyaroshi-genshu
Hatsuhinode Daiginjo (no photo)
I don't remember the taste of hiyaoroshi...
I have had Daiginjo in the past, but it was still delicious with a moderate ginjo aroma, like an excellent Daiginjo.
When I told him about Daito, he said that he was the first customer today who knew about Daito. 😅It seems there are no sake stores in Hyogo that carry it 💦.
That's all for now 🙏.
What impressed me the most after tasting this time was
Shirasagi-no-jo Daiginjo Bag-hanging Nama-zake
Shugetsu Junmai Namaisake
Ozeki Tamaki
Kozutsuru 25°BLACK
Sawanotsuru NADA88
Tajima Junmai Sake
Sakura Masamune Yaki-iki
Banshu Ikkyo Kaede no Shizuku
The ones I didn't taste were Senzuke, Ryuriki, Yukihikoyama and Fukuju (regular products that are not sold by volume).
I drink Senzuke and Yukihikoyama a lot...
I hope Shirataka, Hakushika, Hakusetsu, Chiyodagura, and Okutanba will participate next time 🤗.
Thank you, Nemuchi and pyonpyon 🙇.
HYOGO SAKE EXPO 2023㉔
After leaving the booth of Banshu Issen, we went back to the governor who was at the Shirasagi Castle 😁.
Nemuchi gave him some advice and I asked him for his recommendation of what he had drunk.
After that, Nemuchi-san said, "I think I'll end up with Kenrishi".
We tasted the following
Mizuho Kuromatsu Kenrishi
Nada no Nama Ippon
I was glad to be able to taste Mizuho this time because I couldn't drink it at Takashimaya. It is rich and delicious.
Nada no Nama Ippon is rumored to be a 10-year aged sake, and while the regular product is a blend, this is a single tank of Nama Ippon. I think 1980 yen is quite cheap for this spec.
In fact, it seems that Kenrishi is the first to sell out of Nada Nama Ippon.
It tastes like Shaoxing sake and is a little light brown in color.
Like when I bought and drank it in the past, I thought it was not ready for me yet 🙄I need to be diligent... 🤔.
I was also given a detailed explanation about Nandenno, a sake that is not commonly distributed by Kenrishi.
It is a rare sake from Kenrishi that is sold without aging.
I wonder if I can buy it if I go to Kato-shi?
At this point, we said goodbye to Nemuchi and her friends and went around with Pyonpyon and the other Kenrishi girls.
Then we went to the sake shop in the basement.... To be continued.
HYOGO SAKE EXPO 2023㉓
Banshu Ikkyo is my personal favorite brand.
I tasted many brands that I had never tried before 😋.
I tasted the following
Special Junmai Aki-agari
Junmai Ginjo Kaede no Shizuku
Banshu Issen Daiginjo
Banshu Issen Junmai Daiginjo Yamadanishiki
Junmai Ginjo Tamaki
Cider Ron Ron Dry
The expensive ones are naturally delicious, but Kaede no Shizuku left a strong impression with its sweetness and acidity.
I have been curious about the cider for a long time, so I was glad to be able to try it this time. It has a natural and gentle sweetness.
The sales person is a good-looking type of person, and once you see him, you will never forget him.
Hi Pon 😃
It's just so Dracula to see multiple people hanging around the place 🤣 Is it a local exclusive? I didn't see any labels that I couldn't find at the distributors ✨.
HYOGO SAKE EXPO 2023㉒
I am Kiku-Masamune after all ♫
I tasted
Hyakumoku Junmai Daiginjo
Hyakumoku Junmai Ginjo
Hyakumoku Alt.3
Junmai Daiginjo Unfiltered Harazake (not pictured)
Junmai barrel sake
All of the Hyakumoku sake tasted very good, and Alt.3 was a blend of the two, which gave it a complex flavor. I think this is the first time I've had a junmai ginjo.
I did not take a picture of the unfiltered sake because I brought it to the off-line meeting.
I think the Junmai Barrel Sake is spicier than the Barrel Sake in the cup.
But I would prefer this one if I drink it at home.
While we were stopping by, the governor of Hyogo Prefecture made an appearance.
Governor! I said, "Oh, thank you. He was like, "Oh, thanks.
Good evening, bouken! We've been going around together for a while 😁I feel like I can drink Hyakumoku anytime, anywhere without worry - I had my first keg of sake here 🎵 and it was delicious 😋.
Hello pyonpyon 😀
I was surprised when I noticed you came to my side 😁.
There are a lot of places where you can buy Baekmyo within the prefecture 😊.
The cask sake is surprisingly delicious 😋.
HYOGO SAKE EXPO 202321
For some reason, Tomikunishiki was in the last stage of the event.
I don't drink much 😅.
I tasted the following
Junmai Daiginjo Zuifuku
Celebration foam sparkling
Junmai Tamaki
Junmai Ginjo Hiyoroshi Nishikiaki no Harimaji
Low alcohol Junmai Sake Fu.
Junmai Daiginjyo Saku04BY Nama (tasting at another booth)
Sparkling sake recommended by Mr. Nemuchi.
It was delicious and tasted like champagne.
Fu. is available at many places, so I was put off (I've had the raw one before), but it's still delicious!
Saku seems to be a joint project of a young businessman, a young rice farmer, and Tomihisa Nishiki brewer. The hi-ire was out of stock, so I tasted only the draft. It is a good, sweet and tasty sake, but the price is out of my reach.
