[I had another round of drinks at Marukoma.
The sake was a dry junmai sake with a full rice aroma and a rounded mouthfeel.
The aroma of full rice, the rounded flavor and minerality, and the finish with a lingering mineral flavor and sweetness.
[When visiting Marukoma, sashimi made from fresh fish is a must order, and on this day we had both the red and medium fatty tuna, which is highly recommended.
The fatty sashimi of the tuna was a perfect match!
After that, I finally met up with my friend and we decided to stay up late drinking after a long time!
It's really precious to have friends with whom you can drink together as much as you did in the past, even after so much time has passed 🥰.
We promised to have a drink in Nagoya next time 🔚 and we broke up that day. ジャイヴOn the eve of the House of Councillors election, I left Katamachi, Fukui City and went to another restaurant I used to frequent.

[Marukoma used to have a store in front of Fukui Station, and it is one of the oldest shops in downtown Katamachi where customers from back then still go.
After saying hello to the owner and the second generation for the first time in a while, we ordered Akahoshi (red star) and broiled eel since it was the day of the ox for the summer solstice.
Hanagaki BLEND IN Junmai Koshu.
The aroma has a soft and sour tang, the mouthfeel is full and mellow with a mature aroma, and the finish is clear and clean with a sweet aftertaste that is typical of Hanagaki!
The taste is as good as the dark sauce of broiled eel 😋.
This is a bottle based on the concept of pursuing harmony of flavors by blending several junmai sake that have been aged for over 3 years. ✨️ ポンちゃんHi Jive 🐦.
Nice colored aged sake like whiskey 😻It's hard to find a sake that goes well with eel, but I imagine this one would go well with it 😻The eel kabayaki looks delicious again 😻 ジャイヴPon, ☀ here too!
You can tell by the color that the fish has matured 🥰.
[The freshness of the fish at Marukoma is so good that you can enjoy sashimi, grilled fish, boiled fish, and everything else 😋.
I think I can survive the summer with this [broiled eel]. ✨️

Coincidentally, since Niigata sake was served in succession, we decided it was time for Fukui sake, so we had "Sari" from the Mouri Shuzo brewery!
A refreshing sweetness with a mellow citrus aroma, while being crisp and clean.

I recently had a sari-kan left purple and thought it was a highly complete food sake with citrus freshness and just the right amount of maturity.

The Togo area of Fukui City, where the Mouri Sake Brewery is located, is famous locally for its good water and rice, and Hakugakuzen from Yasumoto Sake Brewery in the same area is also highly recommended. ジャイヴThe second drink at Marukoma was my first "Koshu".
It is light and crisp with a pleasant lingering aftertaste.
The second sake was "Koshu", which is also from Niigata but has a different flavor from the "Hokusetsu" that we drank for the first sake 🎵. ジャイヴThe wife went back to her parents' house, so we decided to go out for a drink at a restaurant we hadn't seen for a while.
First, we enjoyed fried oysters while quenching our thirst with Sapporo beer, and then ordered sake to go with the sashimi.
