Reminiscences of a one-day drinking trip to Kanazawa [Oyabu I'll be posting a brief stock of things for a while from here: ✒️ We stopped by Oyabu for lunch during our one-day drinking trip to Kanazawa on June 19, 2011. I ordered "Jyushiyo" for my first drink, and this is what I chose for my second drink! Hana-yoso Junmai Ginjo Unfiltered Nama-shu. Sweet aroma like a tropical fruit, sweet umami like a fresh pineapple, and a slightly bitter taste on the nose with a sweet aftertaste. We ordered the head of the oyakodon, which Oyabu recommends as much as the soba noodles! The savory flavor of the brand-name chicken roasted over charcoal matches the salty taste of the Warishita (soy sauce), and the rice goes down a treat when ordered in a bowl. Recently, they are planning to open a restaurant specializing in oyakodon (chicken and egg bowl). ✨️
