Opened March 16, 2024 Purchased at Fukui Station Izakaya Shinkansen @ Fukui, Hokuriku At first you think a fluffy, dark sweetness will hit your tongue, but then a refreshing splash of sour, bitter citrus spreads to your mouth ^ ^. Alternative Tama! A sake I remember visiting the brewery long ago 🍶. Still as delicious as ever 😋.

It is a stormy day in Fukui with occasional hail due to unseasonably cold weather 🌨. Today, my parents-in-law invited me and my sister-in-law's family to a restaurant on the Echizen coast to eat crab 🦀. Everyone else had the full course, but I was traumatized by crab, so I had the sashimi set meal with half a crab sashimi and half a grilled crab 😅. One bite of the crab sashimi and it was delicious 😋! I found myself finishing the whole meal as if all the trauma I had experienced over the years was dissolving away 😁. Good sake with good food 🍶. The restaurant had only one type of sake available, so we had to settle for this one 🍶. Although it is a local Fukui sake, this was actually my first time to try "Koshinoiso", the grade is a mystery 🤔. This was served lukewarm and cold ✨. [Lukewarm.] Rice aroma with a hint of sourness, mouthfeel, umami bitterness, then a gentle kick, and a full, gentle finish. [Cold sake] Light melon-like aroma, slightly dry taste with a gentle umami and acidity, and a gentle lingering aftertaste with the aroma of rice passing through the nose. My father-in-law taught me how to finish off the sake [Kora Sake] and I fainted in agony from the deliciousness of it 😆. I've always hated crab, but I'm going to start declaring my love for crab from this year👍.
