We bought a bottle of Kuroryu Jungin at a local liquor store. I tried to buy Junmai Daiginjo Ginpu because I liked its elegant sweetness when I tasted it at the liquor store, but they were out of it, so I chose the basic Jungin. I had it cold and had grilled gizzards with salt and pepper as an entrée.
In my opinion, Kuroryu is a versatile all-purpose food sake that goes well with both meat and fish. The fruity taste is moderate, with a light sweetness and acidity that leaves a delicious rice flavor on the tongue, and the crispness after swallowing is pleasant. The alcohol content is relatively low, so it is consumed at a fast pace, which is a drawback. It was a blissful weekend evening drink.
