This is a gift from a sake professional, a local sake from Nanada's place. It is quite precious as it is the first pressing... 🙏. The aroma is juicy fruity and red apple-like. The first Toyoshu in a long time is a pure rice sake brewed with the Yamanokami yeast derived from sasayuri (a kind of lily of the valley) that blooms in the sacred grounds of the Ogami Shrine, a sacred place for sake. If you are a sake drinker in Nara, you must try this 😁. Perhaps it was because I was used to light and fruity junmai sake, but it was alcoholic, not too sweet, and had a firm mouthfeel.
