I wasn't planning to drink today, but somehow I felt like it. So we decided to have some Tomiou, which was sold by weight on Tuesday. It was my first experience of selling by weight, so I had it with the memory of how much fun it was. First, the aroma. It has a fresh, slightly citrusy aroma. When you put it in your mouth, you can feel the bitterness from the smooth mouthfeel. It also has a hint of sweetness, albeit moderate. The lingering aftertaste is the bitterness and spiciness that spreads in the mouth. It is a fresh and powerful sake, and although I found it a bit spicy, it is very tasty in its own way. It goes well with meals, and during the meal, I felt that the sweetness was also well balanced with the bitterness. I tried it on the rocks, which is also recommended. I tried it on the rocks. After the sweetness increased a little, I felt the bitterness was stronger, and the pungent bitterness spread quickly. It seems to have lost some of its curdiness. It is very difficult to feel the difference in taste. I was really happy to be able to spend time drinking sake, and I am energized for tomorrow.

Good morning, ma-ki. I guess the freshness of the wine is the best! But it seems to be quite dry 😅On the rocks, it's quite difficult to change the taste. I'm learning a lot 📚I enjoy meeting new people ❣️

Thank you for your comment, HinaHanaMama. It was a fresh sake that felt very powerful: ⤴️ It was quite a bit spicier than the tasting, but as you said, it was a new sake experience that I enjoyed 😊.

ma-ki-San, Sake by weight is such a power word 🤤I'm not a fan of dry sake, but it sounds like a good way to try a little 🤔I'll plan a brewery tour: ✨️

Thanks for your comment Nao888. Power word ~ indeed it is ⤴️ I have a sweet tooth too, so basically I love sweet and savory, but I'm very happy with the sake that goes well with food, including the weighing experience 🎵. I'm looking forward to your brewery tour posts 😊.

Good evening, ma-ki 😃. We have no experience in weighing 🥲 but it's fun to experience something new 🤗 maybe it's because of this experience that we can enjoy the dry taste with our meals 😚.

Thank you Jay & Nobby for your comments! Yes, our first weigh-in experience was truly uplifting: ⤴️ It's true that sake served with thought is an element that can be as delicious as a good meal paired with it 😊.

ma-ki-, good evening 😃Weighing sounds fascinating 😍I haven't encountered weighing yet, but it looks delicious ✨Freshness is one thing, but the interaction with the brewer is also an added factor to the deliciousness 😆.

Thanks for your comment Wakata. I didn't think I would get to experience weighing and selling so I couldn't stop the excitement 😁✨. Yes, it was a great experience. It was a great experience for me to learn a lot about the brewery since it is the home of the brewer 😊.

Today is my day off, so my wife and I are in Kyoto for a sake brewery tour. I saw a post by Sake no Wa about visiting a kamizo (a sake brewery) and thought it was close to Demachiyanagi area. We decided to visit a brewery in Fushimi as well. We originally planned to go from Demachiyanagi to Fushimi, but we had to stop at Tambabashi due to a train accident, so we started from Fushimi. Although we could not visit the brewery, we first saw the massive exterior of the Matsumoto Sake Brewery and then went to the nearby Kitagawa Honke Brewery. This was our first visit to the brewery. Kitagawa Honke's Tomio. This time, we tasted three kinds of sake and took home two small bottles. The Junmai Daiginjo, which is sold by weight, was poured into bottles on the spot, which was a very exciting experience. This post is about the remaining bottle (the one on the far right). Probably an alcohol-added daiginjo according to the description. First, the aroma. The aroma is not very pleasant. When you put it in your mouth, it has a refreshing sweetness and a beautiful mouthfeel that you would not expect from an alcohol-added sake. It was very tasty and very satisfying to drink. However, my wife was a little uncomfortable when she felt the alcohol was too strong, so we gave up on taking it home. All of the sakes were very refreshing and tasty with a straightforward taste. After enjoying Tomiou, we moved on to Fujioka Sake Brewery in Aozora.

Hello, ma-ki-chan! A weekday date with a couple in Kyoto in late autumn✨ I wish I could make a tour like that 😁. I'm curious about "Tomio" as I haven't had the "Daiginjo" spec yet 🍶, the Kyoto sake that I first found to be to my liking!

Thank you for your comment, HinaHanaMama. I'm the wife who is forced to go out with me even though it's called a date 💧. But she seemed to enjoy it and I was very satisfied with the day ✨. The sake in Kyoto was delicious too 😊.

Thank you for your comment, Gyve. I went to Kyoto and my wife took me on a tour of the brewery without doing any sightseeing 💧. It was my first time to try Tomiou and it was a direct sake that I could see why it tasted so good😊.

Before I had opened the three bottles I bought in Fushimi, I visited Fushimi again for some reason, so I bought two more bottles. I bought two more bottles of my favorite Tomio's Nama🍶. Just the right amount of sweetness and flavor. And fresh! I'm going Kuikui, but watch out for the 19 degrees: ⚠️ Congratulations to Gen Hoppy ㊗️ Cheers!

The 9th Japanese Sake Festival @ Osaka Bay Tower (・ω・`) We had the stable Tomio at the beginning and the end! Hiya Oroshi The ripeness is just right and not heavy! The taste of Tomiou is just like Tomiou's taste! It tastes like Tomiou! Freshly squeezed, unfiltered, unpasteurized sake. It is easy to drink for me personally because it has a strong but sharp taste and astringency. If you agree with my preference for sugar-free beer, I think you'll like it! Uji Gyokuro Umeshu Umeshu (plum wine) with a strong tea astringency! This is delicious! I prefer it to regular plum wine! After all, Tomio is wonderful! It's really good no matter what you drink!
