The high cost of living these days is unbearable.
So, here is a series of cheap and tasty sake.
Here is the third in the series. A bottle of sake is about 2,500 yen including tax.
A well-known sake for those in the know.
If you drink it blind, you would never guess that it is a honjozo with 70% polished rice. It is beautiful and juicy. It is a modern type, a completely different vector from the Honjozo of Shibari Tsuru, but it is the same in that it is delicious and makes you roar.
This is exactly the sake you should be drinking right now.
WAKANAMI Junmai Ginjo 720ml
Rice polishing ratio 55
Alcohol 16%.
At Tomo-chan, we had Kibiki Blue. The owner is a fisherman, and when he catches bonito, it appears at the restaurant. I was lucky because I did not see him the last time I visited. We walked back to the inn, feeling completely tipsy.
In the dining room of the inn, I opened a bottle of Wakanami Junmai Ginjo.
It was a fun party with other guests of the inn, surfers🏄, and self-sufficient farmers from 🧑🌾 😆.
Wakanami Junmai-shu 720ml
Rice polishing ratio 65
Alcohol 15%.
On this day, we went to Tomochan in Aoshima. Chicken momo yaki, chicken nanban, bonito sashimi, etc.
Before going to the restaurant, I opened a bottle of Wakanami Junmai-shu at the inn. It soaks through as an aperitif.
With all the momentum, we headed to Tomochan.
The chicken nanban was served with just three slices because there were three of us. The attention to detail was wonderful.
Moreover, the inside was rare. Everyone was very satisfied with the delicious dish 😊.
Wakanami Junmai Ginjo Yamadanishiki
This is a silver Wakanami.
It has a fruity aroma of white peaches and a juicy, robust flavor.
Recently, there have been a lot of new sake nigori and shuwashu type sake, so this is a modern but robust type of sake. It was delicious!

I bought this sake as a souvenir from Fukuoka and drank about half of it on the bullet train.
The lightness typical of low-alcoholic sake and the elegant aroma of Yamadanishiki coexist, and the refreshing fruity aroma and clear but firm acidity are impressive. This may be a characteristic of Fukuoka Yume Yeast, which is famous for producing malic acid.
It is designed to be light and easy to drink rather than full of flavor. As the temperature rises, it becomes more sweet and acidic.

Sold at Culinary Restaurant Maru (Sapporo, Japan)
Slightly muscat-like top-end
The same fruity aroma, soft sweetness and rice flavor spreads with fruity acidity and a little gas, and finishes with a slight bitterness.
Fruity, fresh and refreshing, it goes well with meals and is of course delicious on its own!
It goes well with Japanese dishes such as the homemade yuba and crab salad at Chef Maru's restaurant, where the owner has a unique personality and is always eager to be photographed for some reason.
First young wave
