Well, Wakanami day (July 3) has passed far away, but we will open a bottle of this one.
Wakanami is really good!
It has a modern taste, yet it is clean and crisp. It goes down like a wave.
Today, we had both grilled and sashimi of Akinatai fish. We had it both ways.
This year's swordfish is very tasty. I love it 🤗.
The seasonal fish and sake. It was the best 😆.
Tonight, I'm going to have a drink with my dad again 🍶.
I'm going to work hard tomorrow to have a drink with my dad when I get home after work 🙇.
This was my first time drinking Wakanami's Honjozo, and it is very tasty and well balanced.
I would like to keep it for everyday drinking at home, as it is very cost-effective at about 1,200 yen for a No. 4 bottle!
It caught my eye at my favorite liquor store and I bought it.
It is a beautiful sake with a slight effervescence. It is very mild and goes well with Japanese food.
I bought some nice tofu and Hirosu and had it with it.
Well, this Wakanami is good! The level is high!
The aroma is refreshing.
Like green apple and muscat.
The taste is also refreshing, with a sweetness followed by a pleasant sharpness.
When heated, the sweetness becomes more pronounced than in cold sake, but the sharpness also increases.
It also has more lactic acid nuances.
Best served cold with seafood, and best served warmed with rich flavored dishes or simmered dishes.
We went to Kadoya Sake Shop, which we often see in magazines featuring shochu.
The representative of Wakanami Shuzo told me about this shop before and I was curious about it 👀.
I heard they are going to have an event with the head of the shochu brewery tomorrow 🤔.
Cold sake
Aroma of apple compote and white powder
Gentle on the palate
Good balance of gentle sweetness and sourness
Long-lasting aftertaste
Without the food, you get a richness when you drink it empty, and none of the flavors jumped out at you.
I don't think it's amazing, but it would be very satisfying to drink!
First of all, it is very inexpensive!
I guess it may be because it is a real brew, but with this taste... it is very cosy!
It's so cheap!
The sweetness and umami spread out, with a slight bitterness coming in at the end.
It is like a delicious everyday sake that can be drunk easily.
Continuing with my Kyushu business trip souvenirs.
After my health checkup, I am looking forward to my business trip and paying a visit to the sake store.
It is fruity and has a delicious flavor of Omachi-like rice, but with a good balance of acidity and sharpness, making it easy to drink. It is soothing. ☺️
Rumored to be a high-cost main brew 🍶.
The aroma is muscat, citrus, and maybe some rumminess. Overall, refreshing.
On the palate, I get a little chilli grapefruit. The sweetness of the rice comes in softly and tightens up.
Delicious...I really like this light and balanced taste! I could drink it all the time.
Wakanami's Oumachi Wakasama and Dragonfly series were also delicious, so I would like to pursue them if the timing is right.
Not related to sake, but I've recently become addicted to "Omasari" peanuts (I'm sure they are familiar to those in Chiba, but boiled in salt they are so delicious I think I'll eat them until my nose bleeds....
It is also perfect as a snack! If you haven't tried it, you should 🙌!
Good evening, Kotaro🦉.
It's a delicious honjozo 🥜I've only had a few bottles ❣️ but I'm totally a fan of Wakanami 😊.
I've never had that peanut🥜 and would love to experience it🎶.
Good evening, Kotaro 😃.
The latest Honjozo is delicious 😋 and Wakanami's is great and cosy🥹✨.
Boiled peanuts🥜 with salt also looks like a great snack to go with sake 😋.
Good evening, Pon.
I understand! I don't drink that much either, but I'm becoming a Wakanami fan ✨Omasari, it's about twice the size of a regular peanut and has a great texture, somewhere between hokuhoku and sticky 😆.
Hi Hiro-san, good evening 🌙
I love the taste of this 👍♬I buy sake on a daily basis, so I'm thankful for its cost-effectiveness🤣Boiled Omasari with salt, you can season it as you like, it's great as it is 🥳.
