くるま麩
Purchased at a sake store in Nakatsugawa, Gifu You can expect a light and dry taste! Watery mouthfeel and tingling sensation on the tongue. It's a bit more mild than you'd expect. It's a bit dry and light, but it's not too bad! It also has a fruity taste, which makes it feel like a ginjo-shu. The aftertaste is a bit rusty, like after drinking mineral water. Definitely a sake to be chilled!

Seishun 18 Ticket Travel Nagano Prefecture Kiso Fukushima We got three different kinds of drinks from the direct sales store. (1) Kaze Koshi Aoarashi Junmai Ginjo Namaisouzou Sake It has a mellow and smooth taste with a clean aftertaste. The bitterness tightens it up at the end. The fruity aroma is pleasant through the nose. (2) Kaze Koshi Seiarashi Junmai Ginjyo Nama Genjozo This is a 1) pure sake. It is thick and rich, with a slight yogurtiness and a strong fruity, sweet and sour taste. It was very easy to drink and did not have a strong alcohol taste. A pleasant summer saké! Junmai Daiginjo As expected from such a polished sake, the silky texture on the tongue is exceptional. The melon aroma permeates throughout. It has a strong alcohol taste. We wanted to visit Nanasho, but it was pouring and we had to leave. ⛈️ Thank you very much to the waiter who drove us to the station.

Takashi
Kurumafu, sorry for the sudden comment. Actually, I'm planning to visit Nakazen Sake Brewery on my next trip to Kiso Fukushima, but is it possible to take a normal tour? It looks like they don't do it on their website. If it doesn't rain, can I go to Nanasho and two other breweries?

Hello, kurumafu-san 🐦. Kiso Fukushima must have been a long way! It's a long way to Kiso Fukushima, and there's no train like the Shinkansen 💦The sake tasting looks delicious, so it was worth the trip 😊. Nanasho-san also has some limited items for tasting, so we'll see you next time!

When I visited the Kamotsuru brewery on August 3, I visited the Kamotsuru brewery on 8/3 and was given a souvenir of the brewery tour by the toji (master brewer). I have often seen this wine, but this is the first time for me to drink it! From the mellow mouthfeel The rich aroma and sweetness spread from the mild mouthfeel. And yet, the alcohol taste is still present afterwards. It is very satisfying. During the brewery tour, it was very informative to hear about the history of Saijo and what they are trying to do in the future. After listening to the stories, I can taste this sake that I often see in supermarkets with a different feeling!

8/3 at Saijo A brand I was interested in. Unfortunately, it was closed on the day of the brewery tour, so I bought the recommended one at the sake store. The aroma was of rice sweetness and alcohol. The light, smooth taste is followed by a mild sweetness, but it is quickly followed by a refreshing sourness and spiciness! It was very easy to drink and delicious.

Seishun 18 Ticket Sanyo Trip 6 Saijo Sake Brewery Tour Sanyotsuru We had a comparison of three kinds of sake. From right Junmai J70 It has a mellow rice aroma and a lingering sourness. It is calm and the acidity is not too strong. Daiginjo-nama-genshu Very mellow, with a sweetness that fills the mouth. It leaves a rich aftertaste. It makes you want something refreshing. Junmai Daiginjo KUBO It has a light, refreshing taste, and a good balance between dry and fruity. I liked it because it was the easiest to drink. The last part is a bit vague because I was drunk, but I was very satisfied because I could enjoy the various drinks!

Seishun 18 Ticket Sanyo Trip 5 Saijo Sake Brewery Tour Shirobotan Comparison of 2 kinds of sake Junmai Ginjo Hirokei Shu 44 The sweet aroma of rice is strong. The sweetness is moderate, but it is present in the distance. It is good as a food sake. Junmai Ginjo Hirokei Shu No. 45 The aroma is less intense than 44, but the taste is more ricey. The flavor can be felt firmly at once, so it is delicious as a stand-alone sake. I recommend No. 44 because of its aroma and lingering taste.

Seishun 18 Ticket Sanyo Trip 4 Saijo Sake Brewery Tour Kamotsuru - a brand I've heard a lot about, but this was my first time drinking it. We ordered four kinds of sake to compare! (1) Junmai-shu Akane It is rich and mild, with a hint of grain like Shaoxing sake. (2) Special Junmai Sake "Ai It has an aroma of rice sweetness and is easy to drink with a sourness and fruity taste typical of a sake made from the original brewing process. (4) Junmai Ginjo Orange The aroma is fruity and sweet with a hint of honey. It has a more straightforward sourness, and after the sourness, there was a refreshing feeling as in the first period. It is my favorite. 4) Ugui Junmai Daiginjo As expected of a Junmai Daiginjo, it is the most fruity, but it also has a strong sense of alcohol from the aroma. It has a spicy and bitter taste with a hint of sweetness.

Hi, Kurumafu 😃 This is my first time commenting on your site. I hope you are on a brewery tour. The chimney of Kamotsuru made me nostalgic for Saijo where I spent my school days. I am glad to see that you are still alive and well 😁.

Thank you for your comment, Mr. Studying. I am on a brewery tour to rave reviews! It is very enjoyable to be able to taste the unique characteristics of each brewery, while at the same time being able to taste the sake that is typical of Saijo. Kamotsuru's sake is especially interesting as each brewery has its own unique characteristics!

Seishun 18 Ticket Sanyo Trip Day 2: Saijo, one of the three major sake breweries in Japan Kamoizumi This time, we ordered a set of seasonal sake. From right to left Special Junmai Zouga Nama Sake Made with Yamadanishiki from Hiroshima Prefecture It has a mellow aroma. The soft, dry mouthfeel is gradually spread by the umami of the rice. It has a rounded feeling, but after passing through the throat, it settles nicely. Junmai Daiginjo Koju It has a melon-like aroma and sweetness. The texture is more fine-grained, which is typical of Junmai Daiginjos. It has a cool, fruity aroma that passes through the nose and has a pleasant aftertaste. Junmai Ginjo-Nama Nama Sake Rockhopper It has a bouncy sweet and sour taste. As expected from a pure sake, it has a strong flavor and is a little tangy on the tongue, but it is not as harsh as one might expect. Too hot and sweaty! Drunk too fast!

Seishun 18 Ticket Sanyo Trip 1) At a sake store in Kure City, Hiroshima Prefecture Sake from Kure City with a brand I was interested in from Hiroshima. It has a calm taste, a little bit of a rumble on the palate, and a mildly bitter and umami flavor. But it was crisp and refreshing at the end without lingering on the palate. A half-day ride from Osaka to Hiroshima I went to Onomichi and Kure, and the Seto Inland Sea on a clear day is really beautiful. ✨️ The summer sky and the shining surface of the water alone make it worth the visit. The former is an old maritime hub and the latter is a hub for modern vessels. It is interesting to see the difference in the townscape and atmosphere. But it's too hot💦.

There is a slight alcohol taste after it goes down your throat, but it does not last that long. but it does not linger that long. It is also good as a food sake. I have had this sake since I went to Zenkoji temple last year. The brewery has a great tasting area. I went there with a friend from high school, I was impressed by the fact that one of my friend's college friends was working as a vendor. On the way back from watching the Gion Festival Yamaboko Junko Purchased at a sake store in Fushimi It is a summer sake. It has a gaseous yet calm mouthfeel. Elegant smoothness typical of Joyo. Moderate sweetness and crisp, fresh acidity. The taste is satisfying and refreshing at the same time. Perfect for the current season! Yamaboko procession I went to Yoiyama last year. I arrived in Kyoto early in the morning to see the Yamaboko procession in action. I arrived before 7:00 a.m., but there were already people around the Nagatohoko floats and around the Tsuji-mawashi street in Kawaramachi. I was able to get a good vantage point, It was like a "moving museum! The swaying brocade and musical accompaniment were mystical. I once again felt the majesty of the ancient capital.

Purchased at Hanshin Umeda main store on 7/7 First Ehime sake I drank the fire-brewed one at the tasting, but this one was more gorgeous and I preferred it. Hard water-like mouthfeel. It is not too sweet and crisp. It has a lactic acidity and a sweet-sourness that is somewhat strawberry-like. It has a slightly alcoholic and fruity aroma, and has a nice aftertaste through the nose.

Nara Gosho City, Japan Hometown Katsuragi Tourism Not available at the brewery; purchase at a nearby sake store The bottle was opened with a popping sound. There is a slight sweet and sour aroma. It has a very fine texture and seems to permeate the palate, with a slight sweet-sour aroma and a slight tingle on the tongue. The sweetness is moderate and refreshing, while the lactic acidity and slight bitterness accentuate the taste, making it very delicious! It was an unusually hot day, but the beautiful scenery of the Yamato Basin and this delicious sake made it worth the trip!

6/14 Souvenir of sightseeing in Itoigawa City, Niigata Prefecture Purchased at the brewery A sake blended from three kinds of rice, which I have been interested in for a long time. The stylish label was painted by a painter in Hakuba Village, Nagano Prefecture. It is a bit thick on the palate, but it is dry and crisp. It has a mild and elegant taste with a bitterness reminiscent of cocoa. It also has a distant fruity flavor, and combined with the bitterness, it has a rum raisin-like taste. It was delicious.

Purchased at Hankyu Umeda Main Store on 6/30 First Tokushima Sake It's gloomy and I'm naturally sweating 💦 these days. I was looking for a light sake to drink... and I found something that looked good! Cool from the bottle A little graininess in the aroma Smooth and very easy to drink. The flavor is subdued, but not thin and bland, and you can definitely taste the flavor of the rice. There is a slight acidity in the aftertaste, which is refreshing!

Sightseeing in Miwa, the land of umasake I paid a visit to Ookami Shrine to give thanks for my daily encounters with sake and to pray for the sake to continue to taste good in the future! At lunch time, we had Somen-nagashi, which is a strange feeling when you do it alone... and of course, it was delicious! And, as I came to Miwa, I had to buy a bottle of "samorosugi", a standard junmai-ginjo this time! This time it was a standard junmai ginjo, with a refreshing sweet and sour taste that filled my mouth. It is also full-bodied, with a deep fruitiness. The taste is quite robust, but not heavy, making it easy to drink and very tasty!

6/14 Souvenir of sightseeing in Itoigawa City, Niigata Prefecture Purchased at a liquor store near Itoigawa station It starts out dry on the palate. After that, the delicious taste of rice spreads softly. The aftertaste is very refreshing with a hint of sourness. I wanted to drink as many glasses of this sake as I could. (Sightseeing memory). There are several sake breweries in Itoigawa, and I was torn between Kagano-i and Kenshin. I must have been very tired 💦 because I was in the middle of searching for jade in the extreme heat at the jade beach before I went to the sake store. When I tasted which sake to choose, I chose Kaga-no-i first because of the sweetness of the rice... Next time I come back, I want to buy Kenshin too!
