Souvenir of Nagano Sightseeing Purchased at a sake store in Matsumoto on 6/12 A brand I've been wanting to try someday. This time it was a ginjo. Thick mouthfeel Slightly bitter with a hint of sweetness sweetness and fruity taste The taste is very sharp and does not leave a halfway taste on the palate. Souvenir of Nagano Sightseeing 6/16 Purchased at the brewery It was worth the trip to see the historic building and taste the wine! Alps Masamune is very tasty and attractive, but this time I was curious about a new brand "Usakame Masamune" that just came out recently, so I bought it 🐇🐢. Sake rice is Miyamanishiki. It has a firm, full-bodied mouthfeel. But it's light and refreshing. Distant sweet and sour taste. Taste may be thin in a good way The sweetness and fruity taste of rice follows as a lingering aftertaste 🐢. Usakame in that sense? I guess it's the type of sake that I end up drinking more than I thought I would.

Shinshu Travels (4) The last day in Nagano Prefecture Let's have a Genghis Khan party! So... I didn't feel any peculiar smell or peculiar taste at all, so I just gobbled it up! Especially the mutton ribs were excellent! I felt the fat was delicious for the first time in a long time. The sake to go with it was a fresh bottle of Daisetsukei sake! It was a refreshingly dry and cool sake that did not interfere with the sweetness of the meat, making it a reliable accompaniment. Let's come back to Nagano Prefecture!

Shinshu Travels➂ Matsumoto City, Dai-Shinshu Kurabiraki The event was very crowded in the intense heat! The event started at 11:00 a.m. with a Kagami-opening ceremony and the serving of sake from the barrel. The sake was a blend of sweet and slightly bitter, with a complex taste, yet refreshing and delicious. The last part of the drink was quite a lot of sake, which they asked us to pour as we liked. The Nagano specialty, "Sanzoku-age (fried bandit)" and the pate shown in the photo are just a few of the many gourmet items that go well with sake! My favorite was the ultra-harsh junmai ginjo. It has a sharp yet very fruity taste, and goes well on its own or with a variety of dishes. I like sakes that have a clear flavor profile! Father's Day gift 🎁.

6/14 Purchased at the warehouse Travel north on the Oito Line to Itoigawa City, Niigata Prefecture Nechidani is located a little inland from Itoigawa city. The flat area is covered with rice paddies and the brewery itself grows sake rice🌾. It is a beautiful place with majestic mountains towering over the valley. This time, we will have a standard Junmai sake. It is soft on the palate, with a gentle sweetness of rice. It has no peculiarities and is very easy to drink.

Shinshu Travels (2) Purchased at a sake store in Kotani Village The weather is too good to be true today. As we pass through Hakuba Village, we see the spectacular Northern Alps 🏔 to the west! The white of the snow is reflected in the cloudless blue sky. The three distinctive tongues in the middle of the photo are called "Hakuba Sanzanzan" and the rightmost one is "Shirouma-dake (白馬岳)". On hot days, clouds tend to form and hide them, but today we were lucky to see them clearly. Hakuba Nishiki" is named after such a beautiful mountain. First, at room temperature, The mouthfeel is smooth and the umami spreads gradually. You can feel the alcohol taste, but not only that, the sourness and bitterness continue and you will never get tired of drinking it! It becomes more mellow when heated. Ideal as a food sake!

Shinshu Travelogue (1) Purchased at a roadside station in Kitakotani On the border of Nagano and Niigata, lies the village of Otani in Kita-Azumi-gun. From ancient times, men set out to make sake to earn foreign currency. The hardships they endured can be remembered as there is not much land to cultivate and it snows so much that it buries the houses. It has a strong fruity aroma and is fresh on the palate, with a slight chilliness. However, I felt a strong alcohol taste afterward, so I enjoyed drinking it in small sips. Kotani Village has no shortage of wild vegetables such as kogomi, royal fern, and udo depending on the season, so you can enjoy it even more with these as a side dish!

First Shimane Sake On my way home, I looked at the sky and saw the moon 🌒, which had been cloudy and invisible lately, peeking out... Purchased at the warehouse on 5/31 This is my first post about Jinzo, but the third time I've had it. Last year, I was shocked when I drank a cup of it sold at a stall in Yoiyama of the Gion Festival, and since then, I have wanted to go there if I have a chance. The sweetness like honey🍯 and the gorgeousness like tropical fruits are impressive! The brewery offers paid tastings, and I enjoyed drinking the well-known "Ruri" and others, but this time I tried the nigori and it was so delicious that I groaned and bought it! It has the gorgeousness of Kamizo, but unlike anything I've had before, the carbonation and tanginess of the active nigori gives a calming aftertaste. It is a sake that has a clear beginning and end, and you will never get tired of drinking it!

5/31 to Fushimi! Purchase at the brewery The magnificent wooden structure and red brick 🧱 are distinctive. You can feel the history. Only the sake we bought this time can be purchased at the office. The pastoral label is cute🌼. Very soft and easy to drink with a slight carbonation on the palate! Moderate acidity and a fruity feeling in the distance. A little bitterness in the aftertaste, but not unpleasant.

Purchased on 5/22 during sightseeing in Nara Avoiding explosion Fruity aroma from the moment you open the bottle The fruity aroma begins to waft through the air when you open the bottle. The texture is smooth and pleasant on the tongue while being soft and fruity at the same time. The sweetness is moderate, with a hint of lychee on the nose. The bitterness that comes afterwards is not harsh and leaves the palate more refreshed.

Purchased at a brewery during a sightseeing tour in Kishiwada on May 12. It is located in the inland of Kishiwada, about an hour's walk from the nearest station. It is thick and creamy in the mouth. The sweetness of rice is also strong. Before you know it, it's like a dessert, and then it hits you! A strong alcohol hit me! My stomach is hot! A little further west from the brewery is an area called Sekigawa-cho. Walking along a narrow street between old houses and earthen walls, you can clearly see a building that used to be a sake brewery. I found out that a sake brewery called Shigi Honke used to brew there. I wondered what it must have been like when it was in operation, and what it must have tasted like... I was deeply moved.

5/22 Nara sightseeing Purchased at Yanagimachi Brewery in Yamatokoriyama Junmai Ginjo Nama Sake Freshness of Nama Sake Moderate sweetness and good acidity. There is a lingering fruity aroma. It is not cloying, so it can be used as an in-dinner drink. This is a very ambitious sake brewery that has established a special zone where visitors can experience sake brewing and has even established a sake brewery in Tianjin, China. Yamato Koriyama is where the main character of the next year's historical drama is the lord of a castle, so I hope the sake brewery will do its best to commemorate that.

Purchased at the Fujii Honke Storehouse Opening Made with "Ginbukietsu" sake rice The strong alcohol taste of the original sake, but the gorgeousness of the ginjo sake and the mild sweetness of the rice that comes afterward give a satisfying sensation. At the brewery opening, you can enjoy unlimited sake tasting with a cup of sake for 1,500 yen. Also, there were specialties of Shiga Prefecture such as red konnyaku and shrimp beans, and we drank too much with these snacks!
