The Kesennuma Bonito Festival! We went to Kesennuma to stock up on the bonito that has become a staple of our mid-year gift items in recent years! To Kesennuma!
Before the bonito, we had a late breakfast of mixed tuna and negitoro on rice! For 1600 yen, I was very satisfied! While many of today's rice bowls are nothing more than a bowl of rice, this one comes highly recommended.
I also bought and bought 16 bottles. After turning in the bonito to my relative's house, I went home! On to the bonito feast.
The sake to go with it is Otokoyama's bonito sake! Drank on its own, it has a refreshing sweetness that is rare for Otokoyama, but it has no acidity. But when paired with bonito, the blood-colored acidity is a perfect match! I see what you mean. It is indeed tailored to match bonito.
