This season has come again this year! The Kesennuma Bonito Festival! We went to Kesennuma to stock up on the bonito that has become a staple of our mid-year gift items in recent years! To Kesennuma! Before the bonito, we had a late breakfast of mixed tuna and negitoro on rice! For 1600 yen, I was very satisfied! While many of today's rice bowls are nothing more than a bowl of rice, this one comes highly recommended. I also bought and bought 16 bottles. After turning in the bonito to my relative's house, I went home! On to the bonito feast. The sake to go with it is Otokoyama's bonito sake! Drank on its own, it has a refreshing sweetness that is rare for Otokoyama, but it has no acidity. But when paired with bonito, the blood-colored acidity is a perfect match! I see what you mean. It is indeed tailored to match bonito. It's just great! Don't abuse me, I'll just say sake. 〜The deliciousness of bonito is the taste of its blood. Thank you very much for the food!

Sake that I bought as my souvenir when I visited Minamisanriku Town. It has a dry dry taste with (in my opinion) a good amount of miscellaneous flavors typical of junmai sake. You don't feel it as you keep drinking. I participated in a storytelling session about the tsunami damage in Minamisanriku Town. I couldn't believe that a 22-meter tsunami had hit a four-story building along the coast. Even though I actually visited the place, I could not help but feel it when I saw the now calm sea. Hearing about that time always brings tears to my eyes. Perhaps it is because I am from Tohoku. To what extent does "reconstruction" mean?

The second drink at my favorite yakitori restaurant was my first sake from a brewery. It was Otokoyama Honten's Kesennuma Otokoyama Nanbu-style dry sake. Again, the waitress told me that it was not to my liking, but..., But I took it right away. First, the aroma. The aroma is not so strong. When you put it in your mouth, you can feel the traditional sake flavor. However, it is not only sake-like, but also has a slight sweetness and a complex flavor unique to junmai (pure rice). The mouthfeel is smooth, and the spiciness finishes it off quickly, so it goes well with food and is very easy to drink. It was a sake that made me realize that there are many different ways to enjoy sake.
