The Shimanto River natural eel was grilled white 😋.
Then came this one, where the master brewer has a master-disciple relationship.
We started with a summer sake called "Mashirao".
It's still hot and humid, so it's good for my mood.
The best match! The crispy skin goes well with the tender meat of the grilled white fish.
It's hard to find a good sake to go with good snacks 😅.

For some reason, I bought this sake at a liquor store in Kitakata, made with locally grown Yamadanishiki, which was the liquor store's recommendation 😁.
It is a strong, fruity, yet spicy sake. I had it at room temperature, but it's better cold 🤔.
Today is also a holiday, and at the suggestion of a coworker who wanted to eat Kitakata ramen before returning home, I rented a car and traveled 150 km from Iwaki, where I was on a business trip, to Kitakata. I went to "Bannai Shokudo" on the main road and waited in line for 90 minutes to enjoy the authentic meat soba noodles that I had longed for 🍜.
Hello. I went to high school in Kitakata and often went to Bannai Shokudo after school. When I want to eat chashu pork, I go to Bannai! I didn't know there was such a long line now. Back then it was crowded, but there was never a line. ・・・・
