Opened a bottle of a gift from last year for an evening one-person movie viewing party. Yamahai unfiltered unpasteurized sake, recommended to be refrigerated but not unpasteurized.
It's delicious!
55% Omachi from Okayama Prefecture. It has a strong umami flavor, but it is not unpleasant. The alcohol content is high, at 18 degrees.
It will be bottled in October 2021, but shipped in November 2024.
It will be shipped in November 2024.
When I noticed it, it was empty.
Gomangoku Al Soe
Highly stimulating as it is dark and high at 17 degrees. It is mellow, has a good lingering ginjo aroma, and is a bit bananas! It has a refreshing feeling typical of summer sake, but it is also delicious and full of umami. Well-balanced🙆
Next is the Honjozo from the Naohiko Noguchi Research Institute.
I heard that it was bottled in February 2022 and left to sit for two and a half years.
Without thinking, I probably bought it from Hasegawa Sake Shop online in combination.
I bought it under the assumption that since it was Naohiko Nouguchi's sake, it would all be delicious.
However, 20 degrees alcohol by volume was quite a tough taste.
The impact was so strong that my body could not accept it.
Maybe I should have drank it with carbonated water or on the rocks.
I had a drinking party at my business partner's place, so I brought it there to digest 😅.
There was someone there who loves dry and gusto, so I happily almost had it all to myself (giggles).

I'm back from a business trip to Okinawa: ✈️
Due to the typhoon, I had to return to Tokyo earlier than planned😳
I'm desperate to get back to Tokyo because my later schedule is going to get screwed up 💦.
Morning flights were cancelled,
The midday flight managed to take off 😅.
On the plane, I was relieved to find that I had a bottle of Junmai sake from Mr. Noriguchi!
I was so relieved to be able to enjoy my favorite brand of sake with a strong flavor 😆.
I was drinking Awamori all the time in Okinawa😅.
What was the fine weather the day before 😁.
Al 19 degrees. Mellow mouthfeel, a rich sweetness reminiscent of nectar candy, and a depth of aroma and flavor similar to the savory taste of tamari soy sauce 😌.
The aroma is faintly ginjo.
As a summer sake, one would imagine it to be lighter than the regular series, but at 17%, it has a good body.
It has a fruity yet light and dry taste, so it would go well with a light meal.
