This sake is brewed by Umeshiki Yamakawa, a subsidiary of the major sake maker Hakutsuru Shuzo. In recent years, Hakutsuru Shuzo has purchased a number of breweries from across Japan. The Aomori-based brewer Momokawa, which uses Hakutsuru Nishiki, is also a subsidiary company of Hakutsuru Shuzo. Not much of an aroma, slight whiff of alcohol. Dry, watery and clean on the palate, with little umami and a slight alu taste. After drinking it, it has a light throat feeling with a faint sweetness. It is a standard shokuchu sake.
