Last sake I bought last year as a Kumamoto souvenir. If I have a chance to visit Kumamoto again, I would like to visit Aso and Kikuchi area 😌. The aroma is mainly banana yogurt with floral nectar, greenish pear, acidity and alcohol, which I like very much. The sweetness and acidity of the banana yogurt spreads quickly in the mouth, followed by the bitterness and spiciness of the pure rice from the sake, making it so easy to drink without feeling the high alcohol content 😋😋😋😋. There are only two sake rice study groups left. I've been posting them chippy-chippy, so my notes and my memory are no longer connected. But there is no doubt that they were delicious. This sake is brewed by Umeshiki Yamakawa, a subsidiary of the major sake maker Hakutsuru Shuzo. In recent years, Hakutsuru Shuzo has purchased a number of breweries from across Japan. The Aomori-based brewer Momokawa, which uses Hakutsuru Nishiki, is also a subsidiary company of Hakutsuru Shuzo. Not much of an aroma, slight whiff of alcohol. Tonight, I'm dropping my second bottle of the first series as well🤗. This is Yaemon from the Yamatogawa Sake Brewery out of Kitakata, Fukushima ✨. The nose is clean, fruity and citrusy. The first sip has a clean, fruity, citrusy aroma with a hint of green banana sweetness and a dry, crisp finish. It is perfectly suited for a mealtime sake. The rice is undisclosed, but I imagine it to be Gohyakumangoku or Yumenokou, and I like the taste.

[Mutsubu Nigori Sake This is the first bottle I bought at the Fukushima Museum in Nihonbashi. I'm not sure what to make of it. The aroma is like strawberry 🍓. This is the first time I've ever had this kind of beer. I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing, but I think it's a good thing. I don't think it would go well with sashimi...
