On Sunday, I visited the Taste of Morita Co. This is the family brewery of Akio Morita, the founder of Sony. I was attracted by the Aji no Yakata limited edition and bought a bottle. It tasted a little sweeter than I expected and was easier to drink than I expected. 1,650 yen

Yahiko Sake Brewery in Yahiko Village, Niigata Prefecture. The main brand was "Echino Hakusetsu," but it appears that "Yahiko" will be the main brand from now on. This Junmai Ginjo is also made from Yamadanishiki produced in Yahiko Village, and is a good sake, not fruity, but calm and soft. Yahiko Village is where my mother is from, and I spent a lot of time there as a child when I was sent to my mother's home, so it is like a second home to me. Yahiko Shrine, the first shrine in Echigo, is located there.

This is the fourth bottle of the accumulated contributions! As I poured, bubbles danced through the gulp, and those bubbles quickly disappeared. It smells sweet and spicy. Bon appétit! I thought it smelled acidic, but when I put it in my mouth, I felt almost no acidity and it is a gentle, soft drink. I don't feel any corners at all 🙂.
