I've been making my way to restaurants with good service lately. Today they served me a fresh aged sake. Today is February 6. This is my first Kinkame. My first impression was that it was very good! Next, it has a strong umakuchi taste. The acidity at the end is good, just like Yamadataro. It is like a light kijoshu, and it is delicious. Shiga is nice.

Our annual sake party 😁 today with three of us 🌸. My friend brought me this sake from Naito Brewery in Sobue, Aichi👍. It's very light and easy to drink. It has a dry throat, but not too much acidity, and you can taste the flavor😋. It's a great sake to drink with two great drinkers and it's easy to drink like water😝.

Aizan sake, still stocked but a little interrupted for refrigerator reasons😅. Shochiku Ume, but brewed in Nada, not Fushimi. There's a big building that looks like a factory near Sunshine Wharf. The bottle and cap have a unique design. The aroma on the nose is quite gorgeous, with a slight nuance of peppermint. In the mouth, it has a gorgeous sweetness and a bitter spiciness. This is the first time I've seen this warehouse. The rice used is Maikaze. As the name suggests, everything, including the yeast, is from Gunma, and it seems to be an annual event. The mouthfeel is mild. It is bitter-sweet with a slight banana aroma. It gently finishes with a hint of umami. It seems to have a lot of depth. Well-balanced and cohesive sake. I️ would like to visit Funao Falls too!

After a few drinks, it was quite late, so I headed home while eating a golden dharma bento commemorating the 140th anniversary of Takasaki Station. I will close my Gunma trip with "Akagisan" and "Funao Taki"! Sweet and sugary aroma like sugar. The taste is smooth and silky, and while it has a Gunma sake-like quality, it tastes more like a sweet sake derived from brewer's alcohol. There is nothing outstanding about it, but it is a perfect match for ekiben (boxed lunches), with its unobtrusiveness, slight sweetness, and crispness!

Tasted here also at Hankyu Department Store. Junmai Ginjo-shu made with Kuzuryu. It is a refreshingly dry sake, but has a sweet and fruity taste. This time I bought a bottle of unfiltered raw sake made with Jinryoku.

Tasted at Umeda Hankyu Department Store. The rice was said to be Gohyakumangoku. The quality of the sake is clean and refreshing for hiyaoroshi. It is easy to drink without a sense of maturity. As the person in charge said, it is a quiet type of sake, so I think it is suitable for a mealtime drink.

It looks like all of them use locally grown rice, as did the two types of Kitanosho I posted the other day. It seems that only Ryu-ryoku and Koko use Jinryoku all the time. I'm sure there are other places like Okura that use it for single use. When I tasted it, my impression was that it was quite sweet and the second half was heavy, but it was smoky and the flavor of the rice came through with a bang. It has a strong bitterness at the end. It is not the type of sake I would drink on its own, so I will have to wait and see. I don't think it should be chilled too much. If you like Shimane or Tottori area sake, this would be good for you. I think it has a quality of sake that would not be affected by letting it sit for a while. There are glimpses of sweetness and a fruity atmosphere, but I wonder if it's basically more of a classic. Is it a multi-faceted, multi-personality sake?
