When I was in Nagoya, I made business trips to Hokuriku and took the Shirasagi train to Fukui several times, but this is the first time I have had this brand.
I drank this brand for the first time.
It is a selfish image, but
Speaking of fierce generals, Katsuie Shibata was a fierce general.
His castle, Kitanosho, is actually located in Fukui City, and you can walk to the castle ruins from Fukui Station.
The sake is a rugged, men's sake. Nostalgic and old-fashioned, this sake brings back fond memories when you close your eyes.
It is summer. Chilled tomatoes are good.
Good evening, Kouzou.
I don't know if I should say this myself, but
I think "samurai man's sake" is an apt description.
It's an old-fashioned sake that is not to everyone's liking.

This brewery is located in Fukui City, Fukui Prefecture.
It is made from 60% polished rice of "Gohyakumangoku" produced in Fukui Prefecture.
It has a soft rice aroma, a gentle rice flavor, and a light, refreshing taste.
Light and refreshing taste.

The last one is Kutsu Ryu in Kitanosho.
Rice is made from Kutouryuu
I thought it was fruity when I drank it at the Hankyu tasting in the past, but this time I felt it was sharp and dry.
When I told them that I felt a little discomfort with the taste, they confirmed it by tasting it.
He told me the reason for the discomfort, but I can't say it here🤫.
They sell raw sake at KITTE, but I'm curious how it tastes 🤔.

Received as a gift.
Polished rice 60%.
The rice is wet and has no characteristics. Upon closer inspection, it was 60% polished rice. There is no ginjo aroma, but there is no cloying taste.
Since I have some free time, I'd like to introduce one of Fukui's most recommended sake.
There are many sweet and delicious sake, but this Tominari-ki Kasumi Nama-no-Harami is the one that surprised me and became the fastest repeater in my life. It has an astonishing melon pear type fruity and freshness, not at all inferior to Urasoko, a popular sake from Hayaseura. It was so good that I emptied it in two days and went out to buy a bottle.
Kitanosho, produced by the Funaki Sake Brewery, is a common brand in Fukui. It has a strong sense of maturity, or takuwan, and is more the type of sake you would want to drink cold or warm while eating oden under the cold weather, rather than the trendy sake to be enjoyed.
That is why I was so shocked when I drank this sake. To put it another way, I came to eat at Machuuka, but the chef had a star on his menu! It was like that.
I heard that the brand name "Tominari-ki" was named after the excitement of having finally arrived at the taste I was aiming for. I highly recommend that those who did not like Kitanosho drink it. Fortunately? It is not as well known as other brands, so you can often find it in the refrigerators of liquor stores in Fukui.
P.S. By the way, the 3rd and 4th pictures, the limited 200-ounce bottle of Tominari Kikinriki Shinriki, had a strong takuwan sensation, as if Kitanosho had been further aged... Why...? Conversely, it is a "buy" for those who like Kitanosho.
Light amber color. The aroma of steamed cloth, rice sourness, burnt bitterness, and apricot bitterness are elegantly combined with a creamy richness. The dryness is also strong. Fukui Prefecture's sake is generally peculiar.
100% Sakahomare is used. It is thick and has a mild rice sweetness. The aroma is fluffy rather than refreshing. The pungency of alcohol is almost imperceptible.
