KATSURAGAWA, which had been laid up for about a year and a half. It's too early to tell, but I'm looking forward to a summer sake on the rocks, and this time I'll have a glass of the standard warmed sake 🍶. When I opened the bottle and poured it, the aroma was freshly cooked and fluffy, like rice cakes or rice. It is a four-step glutinous rice brewing process. The mouthfeel is smooth like Gunma sake, but gradually a gentle and deep sweetness like sugar or spuds spreads gradually. When heated, it has a full-bodied, rice-like flavor. The sweetness is not too strong, but rather relaxing. Perfect for enjoying in the colder months. The sweetness itself is more subdued than the normal type, but on the other hand, you can fully enjoy the cleanliness that is typical of Gunma sake, which is a good balance!

As the summer is drawing to a close (the heat is still on), I opened a bottle of "Katsuragawa" sake on the rocks, which I was looking forward to drinking again this year! And the back of the bottle is falling apart due to condensation again😇. When we opened the bottle and poured it, the aroma was sweet and fluffy, typical of "Katsuragawa". It is a bit sour and comes in through the nose as if it is cold on the rocks. The mouthfeel has a pettiness by default, but on the rocks it is smooth and silky. It has a fluffy aroma like sweet rice crackers and a syrupy sweetness of shaved ice. As the ice melts, it becomes lighter and more enjoyable ✨. The lingering finish has a slightly tangy, spicy acidity and a tropical fruitiness, and the smart finish keeps the saké going! While listening to the chirping of autumn insects 🍶. I think it's time to open a bottle of "Akagisan" summer sake!

This is the second time this spring I purchased arabashiri nama-zake ICHIMATSU. The last time, the condition of the second day was not so good due to a malfunction of the stopper, so I purchased it again. Like last time, it had a refreshing sweetness, slight acidity, and a pleasant gaseous taste. It was still a delicious sake. The second day was also very good.

Rooster Yoemon from Kawamura Sake Brewery in Hanamaki City, Iwate Prefecture. This sake is famous for its sour taste, which is rare in Iwate Prefecture. I drank it for the first time at a store in Hanamaki and was surprised by the sourness. It seemed to be quite a challenge since Iwate is generally known for its sweet and tasty sake. Even so, I heard that the owner stubbornly continued to make sour sake. (^○^) Nowadays, with the Shinsai boom, Yoemon's sour sake is also selling well, especially outside of the prefecture. I've never seen this brand before. It's mostly consumed in Niigata Prefecture, so it's not sold outside the prefecture. I was lucky enough to drink it 😄. It's chilled but very juicy, and it's a true trendy combination of sweetness and refreshment. I drank it at the end of a drinking party, so there wasn't much left of the knob, but it's a very powerful drink that works well on its own. I'd really like to taste it at home, so if I find it somewhere else, I'll definitely buy it 😙. But I drank too much yesterday 😨

This is one of the breweries we look forward to drinking at the Sake-no-jin every year. When drinking the supernatant, it smells a little bright and has a firm taste with a sweetness that is typical of Koshitanrei. It also has a nice sharpness. When mixed with ori, the mellowness increases dramatically. It has a stable taste and is highly recommended.

I've always wanted to try a henohenomoheji. I found it at an izakaya I usually go to, so I tried it 💪. Grain aroma. The taste is quite robust with a gentle sweetness. The back end is astringent? It's good with a sharp finish 😋. I would like to drink it at various temperatures, but since it is an izakaya, I can't go that far 😇. I had it with Ara sashimi and it's great ‼️ I've never had ara before, but the meat is quite firm and filling 🐟. I have a faint memory of ara being in a delicious book 🤣.

Today we are going out for a drink. This izakaya is a rare izakaya where you can eat a lot of vegetables 😁The sashimi is also reasonably priced with sea bream and swordfish. They sell vegetables, so they have a large selection of vegetable-based soft drinks. They mainly have local Shizuoka sake, but they also have a lot of Omuraya sake from the famous Omuraya brewery, which is famous for Wakatake and Onna no Nyokase 🧐 This is the first time I've had anything from this brewery. Today's sake was Oni Otome. I was in the mood for a sweet sake. The flavor was full and spreading. It is delicious 😋. We had it with sashimi, tempura, and meat rolls!

Sake from a brewery famous for Ryujinmaru. It has been a very long time since Kirakuri. After Shikishima, tkmts-san was drinking Ryujinmaru, and I wanted to try something of Takagaki-san's sake, so I chose Kirakuri. This time it was an unfiltered raw Nakadori. It has a caramelized taste with sweetness and a sense of maturity. It's just a coincidence that there is a succession of sakes with a sense of maturity, such as Washin, Shikishima, and Kirakuri.

Wakayama Pref. Arita-gun. Takagakizo Co. Kiraku-ri Junmai Ginjo Nama Genjyo Unrefined Nakakumi I bought this at my first liquor store while I went to Wakayama to buy dried fish during GW. I wanted to get Ryujinmaru, but they said it was not available now. They will sell it to anyone who comes to the store. I had it with cold sake. The color is clear and slightly yellow. The top aroma is of almonds, caramel, chocolate, and a little alcohol. The label on the back of the bottle says that it was fermented slowly and for a long time at a low temperature, so I guess it has an aged aroma. The taste is thick and voluminous with a grain-like flavor. There is also a good amount of acidity. There is an almond aroma that goes into the nose, an alcoholic aroma, and a guttural sake-like sensation in the throat. The alcohol content of 19 degrees comes later. After adding a bit of ice and water, the alcohol feeling is reduced and it becomes easier to drink. Ingredients: rice (domestic), rice malt (domestic) Polishing ratio: 50%. Alcohol content: 15%.
