I wanted to try my first Osaka sake, Akushika, but I found Kurehaaru at my favorite izakaya... a traditional local sake. It's a good sake for a mid-meal drink. Yes! Local sake. The flavor is as expected.

After enjoying Fushimi's soft water hot springs in Kyoto, I spent the last part of my trip in Osaka👍. Since it was a special occasion, we had a drink at Kurehaaru, which we hadn't had in a year, and some oden and kushikatsu! The aroma is almost imperceptible. It has a refreshing taste on the palate, but the robust flavor of the rice comes on later. Still, it is lighter than other Osaka sake and has a moderate sweet and spicy taste. The one I bought at the Kisegawa venue of the Shiga brewery opening event. It has a strong alcohol taste with a lot of gusto. It has a strong sweetness and umami of rice. It is better at room temperature, but it is also good on the rocks or with soda. After a week, it still has a strong alcoholic taste, but I think the sweetness has increased.

Spring Tokaido Sake Brewery Tour (2) Dragon Boat Festival🎏 is Kabuto-chan. The second bottle is Suzukabuto. It is junmai ginjo new sake. It is safe to say that this one went out with a real mission. The rice is Ginbuki, a sake rice from Shiga Prefecture, just like the first bottle, Hatsuzakura. It is served cold. It has a slight yellow hue. The top aroma is very mild. It has a juicy aroma reminiscent of fresh bamboo grass, young dried grapes, and oranges. The mouthfeel is round. From the bluish alcoholiness, the juicy orange aroma and acidity are gently developed with a smooth and robust rice feel. The taste is sharp with a tangy, bitter and pungent flavor. The refreshing acidity typical of junmai ginjo-style sake, the familiar rice flavor, and the sharpness of the aftertaste are all nicely integrated. It is a moderate, not too hard-core food sake, and the more you drink, the more you will want another glass. Whale wave is next. I thought it was your first time in Gifu Prefecture and you got one 😊. The aroma is fresh and fruity by nature, with a slight hint of hineyness, perhaps because the bottle was opened 3 months later. Well-balanced fruity. Almost no acidity. Natsuta Fuyuzo works in the rice paddies in summer and in the warehouse in winter. This is my first time to try the KAME-NO-IO sake rice. 😃 It was very elegant, with a deep and delicate flavor. Plus, the mouthfeel is crisp and refreshing at the end of the drink 🙂 I paired it with grilled fish and it goes well😇. It's a lost one in my book 👍

Second souvenir from KazKaz. It is a brand name planned and sold by 7 sake stores in Aomori. Rice used is 100% Hanasoui. The top-tasting aroma is a calm ginjo aroma. The mouthfeel is slightly sweet with a strong umami flavor. The aftertaste is reminiscent of classical sake, and is quickly cut by a refreshing acidity and bitterness.
