Happy New Year 🎍⛩. I wish you a happy new year. Please be careful if you are in the vicinity of the earthquake and other serious events since New Year's Day. Here is the sake for the New Year, which I chose by the label. The cat wearing a dragon's headdress is cute🐈. According to the store's description, it has "a fruity flavor and a clear taste typical of a well-polished junmai daiginjo. I've been sick since New Year's Eve and only tasted a sip, but I couldn't taste much. I will drink it again after I get better. 🙇‍♀️ Alcohol content 15 degrees 720㎖ ¥2,090

I bought it because I thought it was a Christmasy label🎄. I've never had kijoshu before, but this one is sparkling, refreshing and easy to drink. On the palate, it has a peach? It is sweet like nectar, not heavy, crisp and refreshing. Delicious and makes you want to drink more and more. We had it with Christmas chicken🍗 and cake. Polishing ratio 50%. Alcohol content 14deg. 300㎖ ¥1,155

Last Sunday, my father-in-law came to visit us from the Kanto region for the first time in a while, so we went to a restaurant we had wanted to visit for a long time. Adults had the extra high grade eel (6 slices), and my daughter had the top grade eel (8 slices). I had a glass of Nabeshima to go with the vinegared uzaku and the grilled liver. It has a fresh aroma, a chili-chili-acid taste, and a light flavor, and is even more delicious with eel.

For our anniversary celebration 🥂. The illuminated garden and the course meal were lovely. The restaurant recommended wine, but they had Shinsei, so of course we ordered this one: ☺️ Easy to drink at 13 degrees and delicious with a soft sweetness and a fine, acidic taste💕. Made with improved shinmaji from Akita Prefecture.

I bought it the other day after drinking it at the store and enjoying it. It has a refreshing grape-like sweetness, and although it is 13% alcohol, it is still a pure sake. Even my husband, who is not a big sake drinker, enjoys this one. It goes well with cheese and sweets. Polishing ratio 49 Rice used: 100% Yamadanishiki Alcohol content 13%. Sake degree +2 720㎖ ¥2,046 including tax

Sake Go Around 7 The seventh and final store. Dokurakura is delicious heated to enhance the meal even more. It is served with shabu-shabu with mushrooms and beef using Saga beef. 60㎖_✖️7 store 8 cups in total including refills This was our limit 😵. It was fun to be able to visit several shops, talk with the brewers, and eat a variety of appetizers. ☺️ 1,000 yen for appetizers

Sake Go Around (6) Comparison of Tolatan Hiyoroshi and Hiyoroshi. The regular sake, made with non-standard "Yamada-Nishiki" grown by the volunteer farmer "Tolatan Village," is a junmai-style sake with a refreshingly dry taste. The hiyaoroshi is a junmai sake that is gentle and light on the palate with plenty of rice flavor, which we prefer. The restaurant is in the style of an old private house and serves handmade fermented foods and obanzai. The oden with soup stock (dashimaki tamago, shabu shabu shabu, lettuce, and konnyaku) served as a side dish is delicious. 600 yen for appetizers

Sake Go Around (5) This sake has a deep mouthfeel and takes advantage of the quality of the rice. The appetizers are delicious and go well with sake, such as Chinese peasant, barbecued chicken with fermented tofu sauce, and braised pork tongue with spices. The restaurant is small but stylish. I discovered many good restaurants at this event. 700 yen for appetizers

Sake Go Around (4) All the stores are crowded with participants. It's kind of nice when you pass someone with a badge on the street. ☺️ This one is made with Hinohikari, which I always enjoy. The freshly squeezed, slightly fizzy taste is also expressed in the fire-roasted rice, with a good balance of sourness and sweetness. The cooked rice is delicious! 800 yen for appetizer

Sake Go Around (3) addition There was a Nero I was curious about, so I ordered more. It is totally different from the Toichi we had earlier, but very tasty and my favorite type. The brewer told us that although it is 13%, it is still a raw sake, and it takes two days to carefully grind the rice down to 49% milled rice. I heard that it goes well with Caesar salad, cheese, and sweets, so I would like to try it next time.

Sake Go Around (3) kagi duck and sake✖️toichi We had a glass of hiyayogoroshi while listening to the brewer explain about the sake, which was made just a month ago and is fruity and very tasty. The alcohol content is 17 degrees, which is higher than the usual 15 degrees, but it is easy to drink. The duck with appetizers was also very tasty, and I would like to repeat my visit to this restaurant. We met up with some of the same people we met at the previous restaurant. It was fun to see a wide range of participants, including young friends, elderly couples, and people on their own (including a single woman) 😊. 500 yen for appetizers

Sake Go Around (2) The brewer's recommendation is to drink it hot, or it comes out hot without being asked. Easy to drink with food. The small restaurant is packed with customers. Delicious dashimaki with mentaiko (cod roe) as a side dish. The handle at the entrance of the restaurant is cute. 700 yen for appetizers

October 1 is Sake Day, so enter Sake Go Around 2023: 🙋‍♀️ You can purchase a Sakazukin batch for 500 yen in advance and receive 60㎖ of sake from participating breweries as a service (a separate appetizer fee is required). The first store is here, Hiroki in Iwate Prefecture and three Iwate delicacies. The restaurant was full, even though there were only guests of the participants, so we sat outside on the terrace. We chose cold drinks, which were easy to drink and tasty. The sea squirt served as an appetizer is something I don't usually eat, but it goes well with Tohoku sake. 839 yen for appetizers

Today we had yellowtail sashimi that we received from our hometown tax payment, so I went to buy sake for the first time in a while. HASAMI=Made in Hasami (Nagasaki Prefecture), this sake has a mild and elegant ginjo aroma and a good balance of umami and acidity. I was told to try one with a lower alcohol content, which would go well with sashimi. The palate-pleasing fruity and rice flavor complemented the food and was delicious. No daikon or shiso leaves, not a good presentation 🤣. 100% Yamada-Nishiki used Polishing ratio 50%. Alcohol content 13 degrees (undiluted sake) 720㎖ ¥1,800, tax not included

I bought this on my way home from work because I wanted something low in alcohol and sparkling. It's been a while since I've had a Garden Ugly, but this is my first sparkling 😊. The sparkling is fermented in the bottle, and I carefully opened the bottle by repeatedly loosening and closing the screw-type lid. When you pour it into a glass, the bubbles rise up in a swish, red yeast pink color 🩷. Sweet aroma and refreshing mouthfeel, my favorite type. Perfect for this time of year and delicious. ☺️ Ingredients Yume Issen from Kurume, Fukuoka Prefecture Rice polishing ratio 60 Sake degree -48 Alcohol content 11 720㎖ 2,860 yen (tax included)

Here is the second cup of sake. This sake was created under the technical guidance of Yamagata's famous sake "Jyushiyo. It has a sweet taste like pineapple🍍 and is refreshing to drink. The sasa beef is tender and delicious. Ebi somen (shrimp somen), wakadori takikomi gohan (rice cooked with young chicken), and the lobster that came as sashimi came out as miso soup, very satisfying 😊💕.

From Takachiho Gorge to Nobeoka The restaurant offers a variety of dishes such as Ise lobster, today's fresh fish, sea bream and flounder caught in the magnificent Hyuga Sea stretching outside the window. The view and dishes such as lobster tempura and lobster gratin were too good to pass up. The local Sentoku special limited edition sake has a gorgeous aroma and refreshing mouthfeel that goes well with the seafood 😊.

After my medical checkup and exams, I haven't had sake in a while. I was attracted by the summery morning glory patterned bottle and bought it. ☺️ Made with strawberry yeast 🍓 of "Sagahonoka Yeast". Junmai Daiginjo with a fruity aroma and sweet and sour taste. Low alcohol content and easy to drink neat😊. Each eel kabayaki was boldly served on a bowl of rice. Polishing ratio 50%. Alcohol content 13%. 720㎖ ¥1,550, tax not included

The third sake I wanted to try was this one. This sake is made from "Nikomaru," a variety of rice promoted for use as food in Nagasaki. It has a slight cemedine-like aroma, a refined pear-like sweetness, and is delicious to sip and savor. The chikuwa isobe-age (fried chikuwa fish) was also delicious~☺️

The second drink in the drinking comparison is my favorite, Wind Forest. It is easy to drink, with a melon🍈 like aroma and a good balance of sweet and sour tastes. The honey cheese dip is popular among women. I will try to imitate this at home 😊.
