SAKE MARCHE FROM SHIGA at Kyoto Station Building.
The first drink was Naminone from Kata, Otsu City.
It is interesting that the sake brewery is located on the shore of Lake Biwa and named Nami-no-one 🤔 lol.
It is an easy to drink sake with a hint of sweetness, softness and gentleness. It might be good as a food sake. 🙆♂️
The fourth and last glass.
It may be 88% low-polished, but the sweetness and umami that is typical of Shinsei is so good that it doesn't remind you of that 😳.
It's a taste that gives it the air of a champion!
The third glass is a local sake from Shinano-Omachi.
It has a catchy label and tastes mild and sweet 🙆♂️
I thought it had an alcoholic taste, but maybe that's because I've had Niimasa and Jyushiyo before lol.
Of course it was a good sake.
The second cup was another first for me, Jyushidai, its standard sake Honmaru.
I have had Asahitaka before, but it was like I finally found it 😅.
It was a wonderful sake with sweetness and deliciousness as well as softness and sake-like characteristics!
At Tennoji.
First up is the first Ten Frog sparkling I've ever had.
At 8%, it is low in alcohol and has a wonderful harmony of sweet and sour 👏👏👏.
To be honest, all low alcohol sparkling sake tastes similar to each other, but not this one😳.
It was really delicious!
The second bottle is from Hita, Oita Prefecture, brewed with lily of the valley.
Fruity and sweet, this one is also easy to drink: 🙆♂️
I think this sake can be recommended for beginners!
At a home drinking.
The first bottle was Oroku. I enjoyed it so much the last time I drank it that I bought a 4-goupe bottle this time: 🙆♂️
It was easy to drink with a good flavor and sharpness 🍶.
I would like to try Jogei and Kei next time 😌.
Purchased at a sake store, Kaiharu from Ota, Shimane Prefecture.
I have been curious about this brand for a long time. It is a good dry sake with a hint of sweetness and umami.
I had it with sushi and it went perfectly with it!
Next time I would like to try it with akaten, another Shimane specialty!
The second bottle was Eiko-Fuji.
This one is also a long time ago, but a fruity and juicy one. 🙆♂️
This sake is made from 50% polished Yamagata brand rice, Tsuyahime.
We had it with Oita's specialty, Ryukyu, and it was delicious and well blended!
I haven't had this brewer's kuheiji for a long time.
This brand is known for its wine-like taste, but when I tried it, I found it to be rather sake-like 😅.
It was surprisingly dry but also tasty with a banana-like fruity flavor. 🙆♂️
Newly released Gekkeikan low-alcohol sake.
I tried it immediately.
It has a subtle sweet and sour taste and does not feel like sake at all 😳.
It is a sake for people who are not used to drinking sake. I wish there were more sake like this 😌.
The second bottle was a local sake from Itoigawa that I purchased at the Niigata Sake no Jin event in Abeno.
It was a classic sake with a slight mild rice flavor 🍶.
It goes well with seafood. 🙆♂️
Local sake from Keihoku, Kyoto.
I bought this Junmai Ginjo-shu the other day in Kyoto after tasting a variety of sake from this brewery.
It was a crisp, light, dry, and easy to drink bottle. 🙆♂️
This sake was also purchased at the Niigata Sake no Jin.
It is a mild and soft sake with a hint of rice flavor 🍶.
I would like to try Hishiko from this brewery someday 😌.
The second bottle is a sake Jinzo that I bought the other day in Kyoto.
This bottle has a modern flavor, sharpness and drinkability.
The bottle is so stylish, it would be a shame to throw it away 😆 lol.
At home drinking.
We started with Echigo Bijin, which we purchased at the Niigata Sake Festival in Abeno.
It is sweet and sour, easy to drink, and delicious.
The low alcohol content of 8% is also a plus!
It is rather expensive at just under 3,000 yen for a 4-goupe bottle, but it ran out quickly lol.
I bought this cup of sake as a souvenir for myself on a trip to Ise-Shima.
It is light and dry and goes down smoothly without being boring or peculiar. 🙆♂️
It was delicious!
We moved to a new location, at a conveyor belt sushi restaurant in the Kyoto Station Building.
It was delicious with a hint of sweetness and tenderness that accompanied the sushi. 🙆♂️
Sushi and sake are a great combination!
The second cup is a local sake from Joyo city, a little distance away from Fushimi.
It tastes similar to the first glass of Aozora, but a little more dry 🤔.
This one was delicious too 🙆♂️
We had Eikun's sweet sake ginger arare as a side dish!
