A few years ago, during a trip to Sendai, I drank it at a famous seri-nabe restaurant and fell in love with it at first sight.
The next day in Matsushima, I visited several liquor stores to get a bottle, but since then, I have been unable to get it because it is always SOLD OUT on the Internet.
But then! I found it the other day at our Rakuten! I bought it immediately! 720ml for 1,760 yen plus 800 yen for shipping!
Refreshingly sweet with a hint of dryness...yum!
However, it didn't have the same impact on me as it did a few years ago, perhaps because I've been drinking a lot of great sake with Jija, who loves sake, lately.
Still, it was so good that I would like to buy it again. Thank you very much!
Postscript
The above is my impression when I drank just sake (no snacks) before dinner.
When I drank it today with Ienchu-hua (spicy), I felt it was very tasty. I could drink more and more. Is this what you call a food sake? I re-evaluated.
Store Drinking.
Drinking while waiting for the Shinkansen 🚅 at Sendai Station.
I entered Miyagino Junmai Sake Center Shimama store at tekute on the west side of Sendai station.
It's an easy to enter even for those unfamiliar with the store because of its good visibility 😆.
Sake.
100% Miyagi rice.
Color is clear.
The taste is sweet and umami from the rice.
The mouthfeel is slightly acidic. The taste is refreshing and clear on the palate.
It has a lingering aftertaste that makes you feel that it is not so light.
I thought it would go well with sashimi, as is typical of the Tohoku region, and ordered beef tongue.
Now it's time to go home on the Shinkansen 🚅.
Sendai is a nice place, I will come again 😊.
Hi Jay & Nobby, ☀️
As I said, the locality comes first, so I prioritized Miyagi Prefecture for sake and food: ✌️
It's an izakaya-like place, but the beef tongue was thick and very enjoyable 🤗.
Miyagi good place‼️
