Today's cup of sake.
Hana-no-Mai🍶, a local sake from Hamamatsu.
This sake is made from rice called HONOFUJI from Shizuoka Prefecture.
The classic taste of sweet and savory rice flavor made it go down smoothly.
The last one is Hanagaki in Echizen-Ono.
I think this one may have had the most character.
It was a smooth, sweet, yet sharp and crisp drink.
I tried Wakasa's specialty, heshiko, for the first time, and it was so delicious that it made my sake go down a notch 🤣.
The second cup is Goshosen from Kanazawa.
It is a stable cup with a sweet and umami taste of rice 🌾.
It was not as dark and Ishikawa-like as you might imagine. It was also delicious!
After work, I went to a Hokuriku antenna store in Umeda to compare sake from the three Hokuriku prefectures.
The first one was a local sake from Uozu, called Hokuyo.
It is a light and crisp sake 🍶.
It was delicious. 🙆♂️
Yesterday, on Tanabata day, I drank a summer sake from Naekaya in Toyama.
It was one of the brands I had been curious about, and while it had a delicious rice flavor and a hint of gas, it ended with a crisp and refreshing summer sake 🍶.
Next is a locally brewed sake from the town of Onan in Shimane Prefecture.
This sake has a strong rice flavor typical of San'in sake, but with a moderate alcohol content of 13%, so you can feel the lightness of the sake. 🙆♂️
It was delicious.
The sixth glass was Nabari's Takihitama, which I had wanted to try.
In contrast to Toyo Bijin, it was sharp and dry.
I had an image that they make dry sake, and it was just as I imagined.
It might be a good summer drink.
Continued from yesterday.
My wife and I both like this brand, Toyo Bijin.
This is the first time I've seen this label, but it's sweet, fruity, and consistent. 🙆♂️
It was so delicious!
Hello, Mr. Tatsu!
It's nice to have a drink with your wife ⤴️
And you drank a lot 😲.
Toyo Bijin-san, last year, I was a fan of Mundo Isshu because of how delicious it all was 😋.
This one is delicious too 🤗
The fourth cup was Mai-bijin from Fukui.
I knew that it had a strong rice flavor and was suitable for warming up, but when I tried it cold, it was a light and tart sake that was delicious. 🙆♂️
Next is Kunifutsuru from Fuchu, Tokyo.
It is brewed at a sake brewery that has revived sake production after a 38-year absence, and I was curious about it because Yamanaka Sake Shop, which directly operates this store, has been promoting it recently.
This time it is junmai dry, but it is a very straight sake, light and sharp all the way through 🍶.
I would like to try other specs 😋.
The second glass is Taisho no Tsuru.
This one also has a yellowish tinge to it, despite being a draft, and has a delicious rice flavor and a slight gaseous taste.
It was also delicious. 🙆♂️
Sashi-Drinking with my wife in Umeda on a holiday🍶.
Izumihashi, a local sake from Ebina.
It was made in 2017 and had a robust old sake-like flavor and was austere and delicious.
I like draft sake, but my wife seems to like old sake.
It's been a while since I've had a local sake from Noto.
This is my first time to drink Okunoto's Shirakiku, but it was gentle and kind, a good bottle for a mealtime drink. It was delicious 🍶.
I would love to travel to Noto someday 😌.
Lunch in Umeda on a holiday.
I had Shimantogawa with my Shirasu-don set meal.
It was very tasty, light and sweet, just the way I like it 😋.
Sake and fish are delicious and it makes me glad to be Japanese every time 🍶.
Drinking with friends in Kyobashi🍶.
The bar seemed to be a standing bar with its main branch in Kyoto, and they had a selection of Kyoto's local sake.
It was a mild and tasty drink, typical of Fushimi sake.
It was delicious. 🙆♂️
Mizutoki, a local sake from Kesennuma.
It was an easy-drinking bottle with a refreshing sweet-sour and gassy taste.
The summery design with fireworks is also nice. ☀️
A souvenir from my honeymoon in Hokkaido.
I knew Takarakawa existed, but it is a brand that is hard to find only in Otaru😅.
So this time we bought it when we went sightseeing in Otaru.
It is a bottle with a clear, dry taste and a good sharpness.
We enjoyed it with open-flavored Hokke fish 🐟.
