Takashima sake (🍶) that I drank during my stay in Shiga.
It is a light and dry sake with a hint of complexity.
I can feel the Shiga-ness of it.
It was delicious. 🙆♂️
Today's third bottle is a low-alcohol sake from Koshinotaka purchased in Tsuruga.
Even though it is a low-alcohol sake, the alcohol content is a whopping 3%😳.
It has a sour taste like black vinegar.
I have had many low-alcoholic beverages, but I did not know it tasted like this.
In a way, I was shocked by this alcohol 🤣.
The second bottle today was a Momo-no-Sato, which was also purchased in Okayama and was on my personal list of favorites.
It was a delicious sweet and sour fruity sake with classic elements 🍶.
I bought this cup of sake the other day in Okayama.
It has a light acidity like white wine👏👏.
It's nice to be able to enjoy this kind of sake easily in a cup. 🙆♂️
Last is Kaze no Mori.
It is said to be a hard-to-find cool Junmai, but it too was very tasty, with a little more cloying than Akitsuho 507, but with the sweetness and gasiness typical of Kaze no Mori 👏👏.
The third cup was the first saké I've had this year.
It seems to be a limited edition sake for restaurants, but it was a fruity, sweet and tasty sake that would be good for beginners 🍶.
The second glass is Saba Deshou🐟.
It seems to be a sake that goes well with mackerel, but it is a light and dry sake that seems to go well with any fish, not just mackerel.
It was also delicious. 🙆♂️
At the Sake Cost Sake Brewery.
From the Popular Sake Brewery, known for its popular Ichiban.
A sweet cup full of Fukushima-like gentleness 🍶.
It had a fruity aroma that I liked!
At my wife's parents' house after taking over.
It seems to be a limited release at the Otter Headquarters brewery, and the label is directly based on a drawing by Kengo Kuma, who was involved in the restoration of the Hisasugi Bridge, which was damaged in the 2018 torrential rains in western Japan.
When I drank it, I found it to have an elegant taste with sweetness of rice spreading through it, and I thought it was indeed a Niwari Sanbun 👏👏.
The second sake was Echigo Tsurukame.
It has a strong image of being made with wine yeast, but this one is a rather classic sake with a delicious rice flavor 🍶.
It was delicious. 🙆♂️
Today is cup sake day lol.
The second cup sake is Wakarika.
Compared to the previous cup, this one has a sweeter taste and a moderate alcohol content.
This one was also easy to drink and delicious. 🙆♂️
The label on the cup looks like Akishika's Bambi cup lol.
Good evening, ma-ki-!
Sometimes a cup of sake is a good idea 🍶.
Akiga's Bambi cup is also delicious 🦌.
I think you have to go to Fukui to see them, but you should definitely buy some!
A souvenir from my visit to Fukui, a local sake from Imajo, a post town on the Hokuriku Expressway.
It's a mild sake with a hint of sweetness that goes down smoothly 🍶.
I love cups of sake like this that you can only buy in travel destinations: 🙆♂️
Today at the end of my friend's wedding party.
From the Kinmon Akita Sake Brewery in Daisen City🍶.
Junmai sake made with three times the usual amount of koji rice.
It was a delicious sake in a glass of wine with a caramel-like sweet and bitter taste 👏👏.
At a nearby izakaya.
A gorgeous cup of sweetness ✨
I had it with sushi 🍣.
You can't go wrong with Houou Mita no matter what you drink: 🙆♂️
It was really delicious!
A souvenir from my visit to Fukui yesterday.
A female brewer's warehouse in Echizen-cho🍶.
It was delicious with a calm taste, although the time in the fridge was short and I had to drink it at a temperature close to room temperature. 🙆♂️
The last one is Marusan-ya limited edition sake.
Of the three sakes we drank today, this one had the best rice sweetness and flavor.
This is also a sake that goes well with seafood and is very tasty!
The second cup is Hakugaku Sen.
This one is a straight, straight-forward, light, dry sake from the middle of the line 🙆♂️
I have the impression that there are many light and dry sake in Fukui, even in Hokuriku.
Except for Mai-bijin.
Today I went to Tsuruga for a day trip.
At Tsuruga's izakaya, Marusan-ya (Japanese-style pub) 🍶.
First, we had a glass of Kuroryu.
It is a light and dry sake with umami flavor, and I felt that it is indeed a Kuroryu.
It is a sake that goes well with fish. It was delicious!
The second bottle of the day was also a local sake from Itoigawa, Niigata🍶.
Elegant, crisp, light, dry, and delicious. 🙆♂️
It seems to go well with seafood, as Itoigawa is a port town 🐟.
