We met for drinks for the first time in 30 years at a tavern we sometimes visit. This is the first sake. It has a mellow aroma, a clean mouthfeel, and a nice aftertaste. This is one of my favorites.
We had this sake at a sake festival. The toji himself was involved from the raw material rice to the brewing of this sake. It's a wonderful product. It tastes really good. It's as good as you'd expect. I wanted to buy some, but unfortunately it was not on sale that day. I would like to drink it again if I have a chance.
Rice wine, which I could not find in the market. It is full and easy to drink. It may seem sweet, but when it goes down your throat, it is a bit dry. It goes well with all kinds of food. Today I had it with fried oysters and fish I caught yesterday.
It was delicious!
Purchased at Imanaka Sake Shop. This is a nama-zake available at Banshu Issen at this time of the year. When the bottle is opened, it makes a nice popping sound. The aroma is not much, but it smells like melon. It is medium-bodied in the mouth. It has the umami of rice. After a little while, the spiciness comes and it goes down your throat in a dry taste. I drank it with motsu nabe (a hot pot of fish and vegetables), but I felt it didn't go well with it. But when I drank it with some salted squid that was on the side, it went very well with it (laugh).
It was delicious again today.
Purchased at Nakamura Sake Shop. I was able to buy it again this year. The aroma is not so strong. It has a green apple flavor and is refreshing. It was so refreshing that it disappeared in my mouth. I can't stop eating more. We had it with grilled swordfish and sauteed oysters. It was delicious.
I went to the Kikumasamune Storehouse Opening. I thought there would be a lot of people, but the entrance was well regulated and I was able to enter without crowding. I received a seal and entered. At the entrance, we were served sake (freshly brewed shiboritate), which was already delicious. I bought a ticket and was given a comparison of the Hyakumoku series, which I had not had yet.
The Daiginjo and Ginjo were full, tasty, and easy to drink. Alt 3 is a blend of the two, so it has a nice aroma and the rice flavor is delicious. Cecillion is sweet, full and easy to drink. I enjoyed all of them. I look forward to drinking them again next year.
I had this at my regular drinking party on my mom's recommendation. It was my first time to drink it, and it was easy to drink with a delicious flavor and aroma. It tastes great with a clean aftertaste. This is the kind of sake I like! I met another delicious sake. Tonight we had it with a little extravagance of tekuchi-chicken.
Purchased at Imanaka Sake Shop. It is a new sake with a gaseous taste and, as is typical of Katanozakura, it has a slightly acidic taste and is clean and dry. I sometimes want to drink this kind of sake. It is perfect for today. I had this sake at a sake event and loved it. It does not disappoint. We had it with everyone after New Year's.
Purchased at Tanakaya in Akashi. It is a green apple type and has a refreshing taste. It is a little spicy and has a nice sharpness. There is a slight bitterness afterwards. It is easy to drink and tastes good.
I would like to drink it after a week or so.
Purchased at a place I visited at the end of the year.
The aroma is moderate, clean and sharp. It has a green apple flavor.
In my opinion, it would be better if it had a little more rice flavor 😊✨.
Happy New Year!
The first sake of the year was Bon and Kisarashi, served warm. It is dry but has a nice umami and acidity.
I am looking forward to discovering various sakes this year as I read your comments.
I wonder if it will be the last one this year. Good fruity aroma. Medium mouthfeel and easy to drink.
You can drink as many glasses as you want. I served it with simmered fish. It was delicious.
A long time since I have had an oriental beauty. The aroma is fresh and fruity, like green apples. It has a slightly squashy feeling and goes down smoothly. Toyo Bijin is delicious after all. I had it on a crab trip with friends.
I asked the waiter at the store if there was a sake that was fruity, not sweet, and had a strong aroma. The waitress said it would be difficult, but this sake was offered to me.
I took a sip and found it to be fragrant and full-bodied. It was just what I ordered. As expected. It is delicious. I would like to drink this sake with my family.
Thank you Masaaki Sapporo. This is the first time I have had Eiko-Fuji and it is my favorite type of sake.
I would like to try various kinds of sake based on your comments.
Purchased at a liquor store in Itami on the recommendation of the proprietress. Aromatic and easy to drink. Fruity. A little sweet. My wife thought it was delicious and drank another glass, which was rare for her. It is too cosy for a Junmai Daiginjo. There will be a repeat.
Second drink of the day. I found Hana Yuu, which I wanted to drink, on the sake menu. I took a sip and found it to be delicious. The aroma is fragrant and full, and the finish is smooth and clean.
It is my favorite sake. I could drink as much as I want.
It was delicious ✨
Purchased at Sakura Masamune Kurabiraki. When the bottle is opened, it has a nice aroma. When you put it in your mouth, you can feel the crispness of the mouthfeel. The spiciness comes later. If you drink it as it is, it is quite spicy. The spiciness does not bother me if I drink it with a meal. We had it with yellowtail shabu-shabu, and it was delicious.
I thought it was time to get some hot sake, so I bought some at Ward's Sake Shop. I started with it at room temperature. It has a nice mild taste of rice with a nice aftertaste. Next, I had it hot. The first sip was delicious. The rice flavor and crisp spiciness are exquisite. Even when heated, the flavor is not lost. I had it with sashimi and simmered fish. It was delicious.
